  • I thought the dog's long legs were actually the legs of two different men carrying the thing..........imagine my horror when I realized that the legs belonged to the dog, instead...*shivers*.

  • MAKE IT RUN!

  • it's cool, but they have to do something about that terrible noise

  • FREAKY!

  • It reminds me of an AT-AT

  • cool but also creepy, hehe..

  • Stop pushing my dog around!

  • i would shit my pants if that thing was chasing me

  • it looks wieard

  • that looks like suicide cow instead of a robo dawg

  • la dah duh duh duh duh da duh duh duhh...

  • I could bew use to send bombs and also make terminators...and possible civils uses.

  • wow...that's cool..can't describe it anymore..really..cool..

  • Wow! A walking vibrator! Coming to a bedroom near you ... ;-D

  • Uneven terrain and could follow at a safe distance. Easy. Can imagine handicaped person with extra gear. An anphiboius version too. I think for the fuel, a hovercraft is farthar along if less weight is ok and ya

can't beat the speed. No stealth but that's an adjustment. Perhaps a hydrogen powereded to compressor would work. Check out the walking wind powered thing. With a motor it would work well too. Especially joining your stabalizor work and elevation solutions.

  • it looks like 2 ppl inside that thing. those legs seem real

  • Amazing! How in the world did you guys make it self correcting?

  • i imagine they'd use a gyro or something... dunno though, it's pretty amazing

  • Wow thats amzing,. How does it stabalise its self?? Gyros?? NASA,. watch and learn!!

  • Wow thats amzing,. How does it stabalise its self?? Gyros?? NASA,. watch and learn!!

  • Kickass dance moves. :O

  • wtf is that noise

  • I'm a little freaked out...those legs are crazy...i'd probably have nightmares about that thing in my house...oh god

  • Scary, yet Cool looking

  • the legs scare me O_o

  • Holy tossweasels! The self correcting was very impressive, though it was a little loud. As I understand it, these bots are being developed to carry gear for soldiers. I would be interested to see what kind of opeting time you can get between charges, though it sound like it may be internal combustion. Final note, it kinda looks like two circe de sole people stuck in a barrel.

  • So... I don't know very much about robotics, but I am very impressed with the way it reacts to being kicked and "self corrects". Robots have such an eerie quality of life. They make me feel a little uncomfortable.

  • I agree with those two. Holy Crap freaky as all hell, Great Job at making it self correcting. Would make a great military bot. Imagine a couple rocket launchers and machine guns on that and MAV drones. Send 1000 of that shit to Iraq and Afganistan!!!!

the legs look so scary.. like two humans walking

    but NOT

    SKYNET for sure.

  • Are you sure that it isnt two skinny black guys?

  • thats freaky good work

  • rawnleys comment, rofl.

  • this is how skynet starts, man sweet jesus, no

    but NOT

  • a dog that dont attack people, destroys your home, shit around -> no more trouble with your neighbours :P ... ( and I think there will be enough room for a fridge where you can keep your beer cold, when you go outside :D )

  • I think its an amazing step towards us having a robotic dog of our own but a silent fuel cell would be preferable to that iritating noise. Just think in 10 years we can have a robotic dog that looks, acts, thinks and plays like a real dog and will never die. Now thats would be cool :)

  • dumb video/ ANNOYING...but its tight that u can build that...

  • Yeah, that really looks like a dog.

  • wow. and scary too!

  • nice ^^ but, i hate that noise

  • Its got hairy legs like a real dog...And it sounds like a chainsaw...It walks like it's drunk...Its so scary!!!

    I WANT ONE...lol

  • oh, i don't like it.. it's just eerie.

  • I doubt the US Army care about the noise. They will just fit a silent fuel cell to it if they do. Since they are likely to be strapping big bombs to these to walk them into enemy camps, or to carry a minigun for the grunt, the stability is all they are really going to care about. Slap a sensor suite on it, and then use it for house clearance, and the US will be able to wage a ground war without even leaving home - great for the US neo-con war hawks, but bad for the rest of the world.

  • Why?

  • Awesome vid, though the noise it makes is extremely annoying. The balance system is ridiculous!

  • Its Balancing systems are Amazing- especially the way it Reacted to being Randomly thrown off-balance.

  • Sorry international English speakers, Safydaking is part of a new breed of half educated urban trash filling up the UK at the moment. What he means to say is "Wow, there is something one doesn't see every day.It will need large batteries.Next thing you know they will have people-like robots"

  • hmmm... never heard of it

  • this is not useles it is the next step in robotics it is amazinig how it can do that I luv this vid it is soooo amazing I cant stop saying that we are geting soo close to making them perfect thax for the vid

  • wtf

  • i wonder if u cn ride that thing?

  • hope they didnt experiment on real dogs to create that useless contraption

  • How is it that such an amazing piece of machinery is Created, which is evidently an Homage to the Grace of Animalia, and all you can do is invent methods in which Animals have been mistreated? In what Ways do you Imagine that they may have tested on animals in order build this device? Don't leave your mind unattended - It has a tendency to wander.

  • wtf! why would they experiment on animals. Usually they take cues from the motion of animals. There is much known about the linkage of leg structures, so there would be no need for them to open one up!

I heard an interview with one of the Toshiba robot developers and they developed their robots systems by studying how people really walk. No need to actually hurt anyone there!!!

I wonder where your mind has wondered too!!?!

  • That's kinda creepy

  • whoa ders summat u dnt c evryday itll need jocka size batteries. nxt fing ull no deyll av people robots

  • Hey hey...i dun really understand wat u trying to say

  • "whoa there's something you don't see everyday. it'll need 'jocka'(have no idea what that means) size batteries. Next thing you'll know they'll have people robots"

  • Jocka is slang for big/huge
