oooo. i give mine trout pellets provided by the breeder, and earth worms from a bait shop. for rare treats i give mine bloodworms and sometimes catfish pellets from my cories. I'm gonna buy some livebearers for my 20gal community tank ( my axo isn't part of it, it gets it's own 10g) so i can make it little yummy baby fishies
Do you feed your axie earthworms? I try to alternate between the earthworms and blood worms, but my guys don't always like earthworms. I may rotate the Chichlid pellets in thanks to you. And what kind of roaches did you feed your axie?
Hey. I think your little guy is awesome. I have not actually seen one in person. What made you want to keep this species and what are the negatives? Keep up the great vids! :)
i'm not the OP, but having one myself, i got one cause my land lady only allows fish, and these are a bit more interactive than MOST fish, and are adorable.
drawbacks are you have to keep the water cold, below 70 degrees is best. since water chillers are complex and expensive, i just have the heat down to thick-socks-and-long-johns temperature. Also they poop a lot, so you need to spot clean the tank every few days.
@Tyranus02 nice video, i am thinking about get one of Axolotl, but i am concern about the what brand of filter is good for it .My tank is pretty same size as yours.and your filter seem have less water current. What is the name of your filter. would you give the detail about it . Thank u
i'm not sure about the brand, but you want a low powered filter, as you need a low current. You can also look online in betta sites on how to make a filter baffle. I use filter sponges tied to the outlet of my filter to slow the current, and to provide extra space for bacterial colonies, as you cannot use small gravel for these guys
cool video
