  • whats the difference between this model and the Roland TD4SX? is it just the padding?

  • @omarpz2004 Yep, SX has mesh heads. Module and setup is identical.

  • Bravooooooooo

  • Awesome to see this being done.... top work Michael.

  • @TH3CU2TO6M08R3

Ok thanks alot. You mean, change the Crash 2 Usage? because I tried that, and then my third crash wont work :( (I added a extra cymbal)

  • Hey Michael, one quick questio please.

I have the TD-4K myself, but I've seen people with the TD-3, and they can have a crash on the edge of the cymbal, and ride on the bow, but I can't do that with my TD-4K. Is it because the TD-4K does not support the double triggering, or can't I just figure it out?

  • @BandaDK TD-4K DOES support double triggering !!!! You need to check your connection and also, check the cymbal pad. Should be working just fine.

    Good luck

  • @michaelschack

Thanks. I just got it to work! :D

I figured out that I just had to change crash usage in settings.

    By the way, amazing drumming!!

  • thats great

  • Good demo!! I love it! You're to fast for the cameras ;D

  • can you use a real hi-hat stand with the cymbal?

  • is this kit durable over a long period of time

  • is this any good for some rock??

because they seem to sound jazzy to me

  • Absolutely. There's more Rock- and BreakBeat kits in there than actual Jazz kits...

  • @michaelschack What about techno kits?

  • Hello michael, can we tune cymbal on it ? And can I upgrade it with mesh head for tom? And last question upgrade it with modul TD9 or more?

  • Yes you can, you can even use the pads with a TD-20X module if you want !

  • @michaelschack Can you program a set on thssi where you have any of the sounds from the module on any pad? Such if I wante dto make my own custom techno kit could I do that?

  • Nice playing! Those Rolands can take a beating.

  • yeah dude, like i sayin: AWESOME JOB!!!

    best wishes

  • 2:34

  • Guy playin looks like the chef Heston Bloomingthall

  • is the TD-9 drum kit better than the TD-4 enough to make up for the price difference?

  • Gratz, Michael. Nice work on showing that e-drums can rock hard!

I have a question about the td-4k: When you said that "on this extra cymbal, you can easily assign any sound you want", you mean that i can assign any sound available on the td-4 module? Or everyone of the 25 on-board kits have an specific output for the expansion pad?

Sorry if i was not clear enough! Thanks

    Thanks, keep "e-rocking"

  • Yes, you can assign any sound that is in the TD-4 module for any of the patches, and additionally also trigger any external sound in a separate module or laptop, since the extra pad will have its own outgoing MIDI note numbers as well... So patch n°1 dan have a splash sound on that extra cymbal, patch n°6 a handclap... Whatever for any patch !

  • hey i was gunna get one of these sets , but is it posible to add a cymbal, or if not change it like for instance i wanted a splash instead of the ride?

  • Yes, you can add a cymbal, or even a tom if you want. The according triggering cable is already included. Actually, check out my TD-4K performance clip - you'll see that there's an extra cymbal on my right ! And on this extra cymbal, you can easily assign any sound you want.

  • Zalig! Da drumsetje moet wel tegen iets kunnen! You spanked that baby like a naughty donky!

  • is it bad for the pads if you hit that hard like you does? because at the moment i haven't a roland just another cheap set and 1 pad already broke. well,guarantee... but i never hit hard and that's not fun to play. so is it ok with a roland? thanks

  • With the Roland pads you really can go all the way. I can hit them as hard as I can on acoustic drums. The pad you broke, well, the cheaper they are... I guarantee you that even with a thicker 5B stick or the likes, you won't have a problem with a Roland.

    Grtz

  • ok thanks. im so excited, i'm gonna get the set in a few days...yeaaa :D

keep your awesome drumming on ;)

  • OMG that kit can take a beatin!

  • Michael, I have to say that you are an awesome artist. Really outstanding. Congratulations and I hope one day you came to Brazil to play drums here.

  • Yes, it should be compatible...

    Grtz, Michael

  • I really hate that D&B fill he does

  • This drum kit is pretty awesome, after I saw the Demo from Roland at NAMM, the only question that came to my mind is that if yoiu can do rim shots???, it's the only thing I didin't saw...

  • Yes, you can play ri;shots and rimclicks on TD-4.

There's more example clips here on YouTube (check the RolandChannel) in which this feature is also shown.

    Grtz,

    Michael

  • Hooi!

    Grtz, Michael

  • i've had mine since feb. and i love it....looking into getting the td-9 brain later

  • I can't wait to get this, only one more month. I hope it will help my beginner skills. :)

  • I'm looking forward to buy this kit soon, it seems great. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I don't have a very great drummer to offer it... :(

  • Excellent Michael! Ive had my TD-4 for a bout a month now...love it!...of course I cant quite make mine sound like yours! Lol!

  • Thanks ! Actually, you can... I'm playing the preset kits on the first half of this clip...

Sorry!

  • Mike, great work! Although I'm a die hard acoustic kit drummer live, I am picking up this kit for practice and who knows maybe I'll fall in love and get the TD20 and play electric live in years to come. Because of your work, It was easy to decide on the Roland as opposed to other brands. The TD4 in my ears has better cymbal sounds then the TD6 or 9. Thanks again for your contribution, you have mad skills. Mike

  • You are great! I bought this kit and it is fantastic!

  • Thank you for your comment !
