  • This is so wrong on every level.......Its totally way off the mark....I know cos I was there!!

maybe american mod was like this but english mod was completely different.

  • Sorry not being rascit or anything but, i would rather listen to someone who is english or at least knows a lot more about the era. By the way a lot of stuff you showed was rocker gear

  • ITS NOT "MOD" CLOTHING! DONT CALL IT MOD!! SO FUKING PLASTIC

  • Much confusion of eras and trends here. Also poorly researched. Kate Hepburn wore pants and so did women of her generation. Watch a Bette Davis movie closely ad you might notice that she went braless. Independent women have always expressed themselves in their clothing, or lack of it.

  • she's so beautiful!

  • Um i think that Rockers? were the ones who wore black and white Mods were the one with the lammbereta's and the cool polished shoes and button down shirts :D

  • am I the only one noticing the huge lump on one side of her body?!!?!?!?!?!?!!?? o.o

  • Not exclusively black and white. Edie Sedgwick is the perfect example of mod

  • About as on target as aston kutcher dressing like a skin haha

  • Could someone write here what she said?

I'm spanish student that is learning english.

    Thanks very much!

  • mods are english!!!!!!

  • She has no idea. You can see why she is not wearing slim fit OMG

  • i dont really think it can be said that beatniks and reading poetry were business like or "MOD" however the stylesaresimilair, but for different reasons. the beatniks wore black because it was against the "american dream" and "barbie doll" fashion that was around in the fifties, i have read jack keruac and he certainly would not have labelled himself as "modern" especially through his awful treatment of women, he was not at all business like, he just didnt care as long as it was different.

  • who cares ..she look s great !!

  • Sorry to break this to you honey, because I have been so nice and defending you but girls did wear guys clothes they actually wore guys button up shirts and wore them backwards with a straight skirt and black and white sadal shoes with hoop earing and a long neckles made of string and something medium sized at the end and Bright make-up that threw off the outfit and all wore tights that matched the eyeshadow... I was tehre I know!

  • I think the black and white may have come in from the 50's beatnik and early sixties, but it was definitely revived with the birth of the 2Tone ska scene of the 80's around the time of the mod revival. So she's not entirely wrong. Anyway, isn't she cute?

  • Clueless.... The benefit of being old is remembering when I was a child wanting heto be a beatnik, the look of the late fifties. Black was a beatnik color, early sixties, pre Bob Dylan. Mod was a movement in England -- there were Mods and Rockers. Think of it this way - Beatles in Germany in pompador hair and black leather = Rocker. Mod is what Brian Epstein turned them into - skinny suits, girls in jumpers and neckties, like Hard Days Night. Try again, dear

  • bullshit i was around then and nothing was black at all americans no fuck all about a revolution in fashion ,,,shes getting mixed up with beatnicks dumbass

  • I don't really like this girls' take on it, What is she talking about, "lack of color' and beatniks?

  • what the fuck do americans know about mods

  • exclusivly black & white ? bollocks. poetry ? bollocks.. mind you, nice tits !!

  • No wonder so many people get it wrong if they listen and act on shit like this. Been a Mod since 79 and know my stuff

  • this chick is retarded

  • she is pretty cute though...

  • she getting confused, mods embraced the 1950s they didn't ignore it. Thats party why mod men wore tailored suits and why mod music in general was always inspired by jazz.

  • They didn't really embrace it but they didn't ignore it

  • i think she's confusing mods and beats? either way she needs to do a little more research on 1960's fashion in my opinion.

  • i just think she's confusing her arsehole with her mouth

  • absolute bollocks...

  • Ok, ignoring the attention seeking idiots - it's about the attention to detail, that's all that really matters kids.

That and a Baracuta Harrington of course.

  • what the fuck are you going onabout im a mod and so was my dad the more colour the better aslong as it matches your top sorted lol you need to research more u only look lyk twenty yourself

  • Wrong. Mods were anti-hippie. Especially the "hard mod" which went on to become skinheads. Skinheads beat up hippies.

That is...unless you're talking about peacock mods or the really effeminate types. The hard mods beat these up too.

  • rep'd for truth

  • mod wasnt just black and white, serious or 'business like' at all, the beat generation were hippies and people didnt just wear miniskirts OR pants

and pants were worn before the sixties as well...

  • @0hN0y0ud1dnt

the beat generation were not hippies

  • this is so awesome dude you are so rad this is neat keen and groovy! haha
