Falling Skies stinks on ice. It's a derp soap opera that doesn't even try to be logical. It's hardly a sci-fi.

@aallppiinnee you don't like it -because you don't understand it. you are a scifi geek that has an attention span of an ant. falling skies is a novel on screen. you won't get sci fi action for a whole hour each week. this show is on tnt NOT sci fi channel. so it focus' more on the drama of the 2nd mass humans with a little sci fi thrown in.

wrong dummy. I've never watched anything on the SciFi channel, and I appreciate lengthy dramas (Deadwood, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Breaking Bad).

If you think the acting and dialog is not as melodramatic as a daytime soap, you're either lying or ignorant. When you can predict the lines, when the foreshadowing beats you over the head, when the characters defy common sense over and over - IT'S A SHIT SHOW.

War of the worlds was a successful tv show then they changed from aliens to clones and got rid of the most popular character and the show didn't last long after that.

I can't wait for "Falling Skies" to come out. As far as comparing this show to another, from what I've heard, this is supposed to be Steven Spielberg's "Walking Dead." And since I absolutely LOVE "The Walking Dead", I will be in front of the TV set when this show premieres.
