  • Ron Paul for 2012 - from an atheist and a person who cares about freedom. Gods do not exist in heaven or in the government.

  • I don't understand what someone's religious beliefs have to do with who they should vote for. If someone says they pray about decisions, does that mean their decisions are inherently misguided or that atheists should disagree with them? Is that the logic behind this video or do I misunderstand?

  • 11:58 LOL! That made my fuckin' day!

  • Only a REAL FOOL would claim there is no God! Man creates awesome skyscrapers, fake hearts, tunnels, vehicles etc.. If we are very imperfect then what more can God create THE UNIVERSE! You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior to receive eternal rest in heaven! Simple! John 3:16 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him! Repent & accept Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ or HELL?!? Visit cbn. com

  • @tigersforchrist I am a good man. But I will go to hell for being a non believer? Oh THANK YOU LORD! YOU ARE A SAVIOR! YOU ARE A HERO! Seriously, if it were anyone but god, you'd think that person were a looney for making a statement like that.

  • @tigersforchrist There are way too many flaws in your argument to list in a blanket reply. To start: Why do whales have hip bones? Why do genetic diseases exist? Why do parasites that kill their hosts exist? There are many more, but these three should get you started. Remember, since God is perfect, all of his creations would also be perfect.

  • "Bug nutty, bat shit, crazy"? This guy talks too much to make simple points.

  • I think Penn Brings up a good point here. I remember as a child in Catholic school hearing all about morality and heaven. But I remember having the impression that nobody really believed what they were saying because they always behaved in an opposite fashion.

  • Now I know what poe's law mean...thx utube

  • Free thinker? Faith in the non existence of the possible is mysticism. The proselytization of the new religion sucks many beyond the event horizon. Framing the unmovable mover within the context of religion is archaic. Cosmology, ontology, metaphysics still in infancy. The vulcan high command has determined that time travel is impossible. Creative mathematicians and yoda will prove them wrong.

  • It seems to me that what Penn is talking about is cognitive dissonance, the idea that you can simultaneously hold two contradictory ideas at the same time. Politicians and religious people seem to be able to live in the modern world and act reasonably normal while at the same time believing these absurd, illogical religious ideas and not be able to recognize the conflict.

  • No atheist has ever given me enough proof that Anubis does not exist, so until they they can prove lord Anubis isn't real, I'm going to continue to believe. Hail Anubis!

  • @Polydynamix We also can't prove that Poseiden, my favorite Greek god, doesn't exist.

  • @Steppenwolf27 Poseidon, Neptune, whatever he's going by these days... he got nothing on lord anubis, who never went through an identity crisis.

  • @Polydynamix That's true. Anubis had a job and he stuck to it.

  • @Polydynamix How can you believe in a talking coyote? are you mad? jesus died for you, respect my religion please.

  • @calangodragon He was a jackal, and he spent his time in the afterlife making sure the moon would come up in the sky at night. Respect my religion, it's no less crazy than yours.

  • @Polydynamix what's crazy about a entity that creates the universe and everything in it, then created a man and a woman, no more than 10 000 years ago (fuck dinos), punished us for eternity because of a fruit he created, then sent his son (which was him actually) to die for us in such a way that he could forgive himself for the things we comitted because of him? I am sorry, but i don't even like dogs, you fail. god bless you and read the bible

  • @calangodragon your bible is hundreds of years of oral tradition, passed down by illiterate desert dwelling nomads sacrificing goats to increase their crop yield. The bible is evidence of absolutely nothing, telling someone to read it is the same as telling someone to read harry potter, to learn of the great dumbledorf of whatever. You lack the necessary qualifications to "fail" anyone.

  • @Polydynamix Ha ha! I wasn't the only one who fell for it.

calangodragon is an atheist. He's just immitating believers to make fun of how stupid they sound.

  • @Polydynamix the god who is a talking egyptian hybrid of dog and cat?!!! I am in

  • This seriously made me realize so many things about religion and its place in our history and the government. Amazing

  • Smart guy.

  • He's so right. Pen Jilette is a good and smart guy. Not perfect, but good stock. Go Pen!

  • I could not agree more.

  • 18:30 til about the end is easily the icing on the cake.

  • Epic video with a fucking epic ending.

  • 11:57

  • @greyeyed123 No. Lol. Why I would win is because I am right. That is the right concept.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism You didn't understand what I said. I challenge you to explain what I said, and what it means. You gave no indication you understood in your response.

  • @thepechkin85 Good Job! Too bad you couldn't win in a debate with me though. If you think i'm stupid, give me a try.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism We don't have to win for you to lose. The fact that you don't understand this basic concept is why you don't understand what atheism is, nor what the burden of proof is.

  • Subscribed!

  • This was great! I may be a Penn fan.

  • Im polyatheist...lots of gods I don't believe in.

  • @jimlovesgina I'm curious. Why does the majority of Atheists that comment me, including you, feel the need to resort to name calling? When you cannot, obviously, grasp the concept that i am implying.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism it's not a name calling, it's just a fact that you are stupid, your understanding is not enough = you can not and will not understand unless you stop being stupid

  • @Sagequestion I could reply with tons of evidence that would support a deity. But since you are convinced that there isn't, why don't you give me proof that there is not one.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism

You are being classically stupid. Prove that Zeus doesn't exist. You can't. So, by your logic, Zeus exists. Dumb.

  • Holy shit! That video was amazing. I've actually watched a few of Penn's videos but this, this, takes the fucking cake!

  • To answer the question you asked near the end Penn... The bible was written by the Jews, and in writing it there are many rules they wrote into it, and one of the most important is this: Though shalt not take the Word of God literally. Ever.

  • Holy shit 18:00, he gets so pissed

  • Perry, Palin, Bachmann, Gingrich, Santorum, - no, these people would be crazy. Not neccessarily for religious reasons either even if they have some radical beliefs all right. Mitt Romney on the other hand doesn't seem to believe in anything. The guy might be wearing magic underwear, but he's also wearing flip-flops.

  • "its less weird than the talking snake" brilliant

  • @darkbunnylord ...you are right there at it. Take a look at godandscience . Org, it will tell you all you need to know.

  • Far far,far from bat-shit crazy, simply asking the questions that so many others are either afraid or unwilling to ask

  • Absolutely fantastic. I was sceptical that this would be heavily anti-religion through bias, but that was flawless.

  • All I got to say is at 11:57. Penn you have lost it and I totally disagree with you on this particular topic.

  • Wow, Penn goes a little bat-shit crazy himself towards the end

  • @PlaceboPunch

That comment undermines the theist stance. Work out why for yourself.

  • @1878EFC2008 That comment shows you think you're a smart ass. Work out why for yourself.

  • Penn gets creepier every year.

  • in response to the key he hasn't been given to understand religion, hes looking at the wrong one.

  • answer: cherry picking the bible

  • Comment removed

  • I don't always agree with him, but he's still one of the most rationals celebrities out there. We need more people like Penn Jillette. You can tell from a mile away that he is a very kind hearted individual who cares deeply about his fellow man.

  • @ozzyslush Why would i lie? I do not get paid to lie. I wouldn't benefit from lying. There would be no reason to. Look up the things i tell you, all cold hard facts.

  • For all of the theists out there reading this - I want you to know that Thor is waiting for you. He loves you very much and unlike some other gods *cough-jesus-cough*, he is willing to put the hammer down for you!

Or wait - that's just silly to believe that, right? ... right?

  • @Lovaelihn As MC Hammer once said "It's hammer time".

  • For love is joy the love has been given Jesus dont let it pass you love is patient it is waiting for you God is waiting.

  • ...why do he have one fingernail painted?

  • @Altorin It's in memory of his mother. I don't remember the exact story but you can Google it or maybe even find it here.

  • @SStrongIsNeverWrong that's all I really needed to know. I just needed to know that I wasn't going crazy and that it wasn't just some sort of make-up snafu. If that's how he remembers and honors his mom, all the power to him, I'm sure when my mom goes, I'll do something a little silly to the outside world to remember her as well

  • Statists are definitely bug-nutty bat-shit crazy. If politicians can believe in the state, they can believe in a giant Santa having created the universe.

  • @JesseForgione

Yes, definitely. I'd really prefer that people have faith in Santa, than faith in the state. Having faith is Santa, while laughably irrational, is FAR MORE rational than having faith in an institution of organized violence.

Statheists are often the worst kinds of statists imo.

  • @jonasgrumby71 No. Cosmologists like, Ed Harris, Edward Milne, and Barry Parker, who said ''who created these laws? There is no question but that a God will always be needed.'' If you need more i can give you more.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism Not having answers does not give you a license to just start making shit up. Sometimes "we don't have an answer for that yet" is all you can say.

  • Comment removed

  • Well I'm sorry Penn but if he's an atheist I like him alot. I'm agnostic and I know that lying about it is the only way he could get elected in this batshit crazy religious country.

  • @wisdomkillsatheism you mean cosmotologists like Krauss, Hawking, and DeGrasse-Tyson? All atheists. Nobody knows if the universe did or could come from nothing, but it is no less likely than an intelligent being coming from nothing. We know a lot about what happened after the big bang. If we don't fully know what happened before, "god did it" doesn't explain anything.

  • @Godessofgrey what about "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:18 KJV)"

That is jesus upholding the OT law, not discarding it. And besides, it doesn't change the fact that those laws were terrible no matter who or when they were for. And a good god would know better. Watch my "godzilla" video.

  • When you start talking crap about a religion you should first get your facts right go to mormon.org if you want to know about mormonism. Not all of Christians believe the literal interpretation of the bible you said that each sect was different and that is true so why are you generalizing?

Also most Christian religions believe that the Law of Moses (Deuteronomy, Leviticus, etc.) was discontinued and improved upon when Christ came so no I won't start stoning someone.

  • @GoddessofGrey He may have taken extreme examples, but subtle ones don't really work. For instance: Given your comment I assume you believe in god, or a creator, or some kind of prayer. That alone is delusional. Like Penn said, you sound like a nice rational human. Why then would you believe in a fantasy like prayer? If you are Mormon then you belong to a religion that has some REALLY fantastical beliefs. If I am wrong and you don't believe then I am sorry.

  • @GoddessofGrey In the old testament (Deuteronomy and Leviticus etc.) God laid down the law I.e. stoning unruly children, witches, and homosexuals, as well as many other disgusting "moral" laws. In the new testament Jesus himself says not one dot or tittle of the law shall pass away, he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law. christ did not discontinue or improve upon the law.

  • @brewerbrian420 Exactley! You just proved his point. No amount of Nothing can ever produce something.

  • AK-15? Interesting weapon of choice.

  • I think Obama is a "weaksauce" Christian - someone who just goes through the motions of religion.

  • @KeroroGunsouTX Am I to take it then that you are a "strongsauce" Christian? If so then using your analogy the weaker the sauce the closer to rational one is, the stronger the sauce the more delusional one is. Religion is an antiquated mythos that needs to be shed for us to progress as humans in reality. We no longer need these fantasies to cope with the universe. We have better stronger tools. From your comment it is hard to tell what you really think so I may be wrong about you.

  • The really part is funny.

  • @darkangel182 No one (without a screw loose) has said that those things were real, i only go by and give facts. Therefore, i know that God (the christian God) is real. It is the only logical and rational answer, and reason for the way things happen and how the universe began to exist. Hence why cosmotologists are leaving their old atheistic beliefs.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism Claiming God is not a rational answer as the existence of a God defies all the rational people try to use to justify a God existing.

Ie people say everything had to come from something and therefor God makes sense. This however makes no sense as it assumes that God could then "come from nothing" therefor defying the rule that everything needs come from something and thus defeating the need for a God.

Theists then turn and say "God has always been" and in the same breath(cont)

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism (cont) say "everything must have a beginning". Again we have a situation where the Theist claims a law and then inserts an answer that defies that law. If the law can be defied then the requirement for "everything" no longer makes the law pertinent and thus removes the need for the answer of "God did it".

The simple answer is we don't know what happened pre-big bang. God is not a rational answer with the evidence we currently have, it's an excuse to stop looking.

  • Which book is he referring to? I've found several with that title....

  • I was referring to the Christian God. One of the many, resources that points out that the Christian God is the only God is the fact that, any ancient historian will tell you that the life of Jesus did in fact happen. Dawkins even admitted to that in a debate.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism There is an important difference between believing the evidence that there was once a dude called Jesus and making a herculean leap of non-logic to accept the irrelevance of personal accountability in the face of human sacrifice offering the means to vicarious absolution.

  • He's right about using "atheist". I think someone else already stated we shouldn't use this term. Sam Harris? Not sure I forget.

  • Organized atheist movement is being more and more like a religion. I made a distinction between the theory of god and religion.

  • Didn't see the Gypsies thing coming.

  • There is no Scientific Evidence that can be brought up in proof that disproves the existence of God. None! If there was not a deity, then there would be a substantial amount, to void a God.

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism yeah, science cannot disprove Allah.

thank you brother for sharing this

  • @WisdomKillsAtheism There is no scientific evidence that can disprove the existence of leprechauns, purple dragons and flying spaghetti monsters, that does not mean it is rational to believe in their existence though.

  • @DarkAngel182 But the flying spaghetti monster IS real of course

  • it would be amazing if we had an atheist president :)

  • Insightful

  • Penn Jillette is one of the greatest human beings alive! ^_^

  • Think that the answer to Penn's question of how can they act like that, is that our brains are departmentalized. We can hold opposing thoughts & belief's at the same time. At least this seems like what is going on with with those so called "Christians". Others are not so much like that.

  • Finally some Penn. The reason i subscribed to this channel in the first place.

  • Why isn't it possible that he's religious and simply does not let his religious convictions cloud or intrude on his political stances and choices because he realizes that his personal religious beliefs may not reflect the rest of the country's? Kind of like how our country is supposed to run?

  • Amen brother.

  • At age 4 you learn Santa exists. Imagine no one ever tells you it's a fairy tale and your life is filled with stories of how Santa is wonderful. Would it then seem odd that most people would continue to accept Santa as real? Just replace the word Santa with Jesus and you have your answer. Since politics is the art of the possible, one must pay lip service to the fairy tale to have a chance at the presidency. Some duplicity is a job requirement for politicians.

  • I used to think I needed that code, too; then, I figured it out. They are ALL nutts. They are MORE nutts than NOT.

Yes, Romney wears magic underwear, and people are VOTING FOR HIM to be POTUS? and that scares the HELL OUT OF ME!

  • yep; have seen a LOT of Clinton in church.. same wot the O-bot-man. I am an atheist, so I can look at them with more skepticism. I don't belong to a church of ANY of them. Obama is a PUNK and he IS a liar, too. He may have some good in him, but he's afraid to do good, because his masters won't allow it.

Bachmann is a freak and I am GLAD they took her down.

I am left to ONLY go for Paul. Yes,he does go to church and we won't spend Sunday together, but, I can live with that.

  • 11:57 Love his reaction to the Mormon religion.

  • I think I'm going to watch this video every day. I fucking love Penn.

  • At least when I do I'll go to heaven and live for an eternity. Where's your sorry ass going???

  • @Jesuslifeternal That sentence sums up why you "believe" concisely.

  • @Jesuslifeternal If God let's trolls like you into heaven, I'll gladly go to hell.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jesuslifeternal I hope you die a slow painful death.

  • @Jesuslifeternal What a very christian thing to say. Your make-believe Jesus would surely be ashamed of you.

  • Name one war dumbass!

  • Comment removed

  • @Jesuslifeternal yet more wars and deaths have gone out in the name of god then anything else...and you call us backwards

  • @11Sweeneytodd Funny thing about Atheist is That they are always talking about God

Talking About Shit That Happened Hundreds and Thousands Year Ago

Atheist talk about how Violent and Bad Christianity and Islam is

    Stop Bitchin and Crying

we shove our religions down your throat and there's nothing you can do about it

1.5 billion Muslims,2.1 billion Christians,900 million Hindus VS 1 million Atheist

  • @HerozDefeat Those figures are incredibly inaccurate. However, that's immaterial as to which may be right- consensus doesn't equal truth, and never has.

  • @Jesuslifeternal Trolling too stronk

  • The fucking pink fingernail.

  • I'd have to disagree. I see Reagan as the most religious American President. But he's probably right, I'm not an expert XD

  • I don't see how someone can make this shit any clearer.

  • Crackheads!

  • Hey, I've got magic under my pants! 100% support to Penn Julliete, makes me look at things in a different way.

  • 11:58 hahahahahahaha!

  • This guide could have been summarized in 5 seconds. Ron Paul 2012! Done.

  • I Am Not Ashamed To Say That I Need Jesus In My Life

How many are thankful to God for another day???

    4 minutes ago · 109 · Unlike · 9 Comments

  • @Jesuslifeternal

Yes, I am thankful for each day,

    for what it is,

but not to some non-existant diety

I'm not ashamed to say there is no god,

never has been, and never will be.

  • It's funny how the religious people on youtube just quote scripture and are starting to look like the old school witches that would get persecuted when they chanted shit. Times are a changin'

  • Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

  • Well everyone have a safe and peaceful night. Remember to say your prayers and thank God for keeping you safe. Also, when you awake in the morning. Remember to thank God for letting you live another day and have another chance to get saved and live for an eternity in Gods glory. Jesus loves atheists too.

  • Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

  • For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.

  • Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

  • @Jesuslifeternal I wish I was high

  • Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. For evildoers shall be cut off. But,those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be.Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

  • @Jesuslifeternal That's the problem with religions. They are all about praying and waiting for some invisible deity to come and make things better.

If you want things to get better, stop praying and waiting and start doing.

  • @Jesuslifeternal LOL love slippery slope thinking, love it.

  • Thank God AMERICA IS STILL A CHRISTIAN NATION!!!

If you don't love America and God, then catch the first flight to red china and live happily with other atheists! God Bless you all!

  • @Jesuslifeternal No, we're not a christian nation. Ever heard of the 1st amendment? Yea.. that's pretty important here.

  • @Jesuslifeternal I love America. I can see America. There is proof that America exists. America was never a Christian nation. America was founded to be free of political and religious oppression (any religion...and there are many).

So,because I don't believe in your god,you would have me leave my own homeland? That doesn't sound very 'Christ-like'. You should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting that.

  • @Jesuslifeternal dumbass

  • I don't care if this comment get's a million thumbs down I just have to say this because apparently 80% of youtube users are Atheists and I'm always seeing these rude comments like, "Creationists are so stupid!" or "There is no God!" the list goes on and on! I mean I'm all about voicing your opinion but it's getting a bit ridiculous. So please as the old saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all...

  • @il100374 So... don't speak out against injustice if you think you'll offend someone? Don't call someone racist, or sexist, or homophobic, if you think it might hurt their feelings? Sorry, but you're asking us to tolerate intolerance.

  • thumbs up if you noticed that red spot on his finger

  • Atheists are stupid human beings. They have this retard notion that atheists "do things on their own" AS IF Christians just don't do anything. This is not an argument. Christians PRAY + everything you do. this notion that Christians are simply stupid is stupid. Atheists have been responsible for every war in history.

  • @SuperSam424 Sorry which war was caused by a lack of superstitious belief? As far as I remember (and I am a history major) every war has been a result of either a land dispute or a theological dispute.

  • @Vip3rAce 1. You cant define your vague nation of "superstition" due to the fact that the supernatural is clear as a bell. 2. Name one war which was started by the people of God and not just some occult society prancing around as "Christians" aka the crusades.

  • @Vip3rAce and ethnic paranoia.

  • @SuperSam424 Yeah, the Crusades were definitely started by atheists. Also the Inquisition, and the hijackers who flew planes into buildings in New York were certainly atheists.

    Idiot.

  • @Steppenwolf27 The crusades??? The crusades were of OCCULT origin. You know. SATANISM. Kinda, exactly like todays modernday catholic church. The Occultists went around killing real Christians. THAT is what the crusades were. READ.

  • @SuperSam424 You are batshit crazy-to think all catholics are Satanic, but let me try anyway. Crusaders had cross in one hand & bible in the other. They came from all over europe / all christian world. So they were kinda, exactely christians. Btw,Your READ is a problem if it is just a book.

  • @Aleksamson AGAIN. The Crusaders were OCCULT. Not actual "Christians". ANYONE who actually studies the occult can tell you this is common knowledge between honest scholars. Due to zionists running the world it is obviously played down. And WTF do you mean they had crosses in one hand and Bibles in the other. YOU JUST SAY THAT YOU DISHONEST HUMAN BEING. You were not there you dumb fuck. These "Christians" worshipped fallen angels and had satanic rituals. They were CLEARLY NOT ACTUAL CHRISTIANS.
