Noel Gallagher, whose influences stem from The Beatles, borrowed the title and made this masterpiece. An interesting fact about the song is that it was in fact NOT written as a love song but a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself. But then again, all music is open to interpretation as Noel says, so have at it....

@barretpaige14 George Harrison's album was actually a soundtrack for the 1968 film "Wonderwall". The movie is about a man who becomes obsessively in love with the woman who lives next door to him after noticing a hole in his wall which overlooks her room. As time goes by he drills more holes through the wall to see better as he daydreams constantly. This is where the title "Wonderwall" comes from. But I doubt that's what Noel was writing about. In the end all it was was a catchy word that stuck.
