  • The two full minutes of silence would explain the 45 dislikes, no one comes to youtube to listen to silence...

  • @aloneintherain29 Well, if anyone sat there starring at the screen full of "silence" they're idiots....there's a reason why i mentioned it in the description...so you can skip it.

  • thanks for the pause in the middle of the song , jerk-face. lol, no but for real im j/k, thanks for the songs bro :)

  • @rollinghills22 lol.....pretty cool. made me laugh

  • the guitar sound make me wanna cry.

  • What's not to like? Too much crap nowadays! Love this for what it is - life's too short

  • i think i LOVE THIS SONG OFFICIALLY.

  • Great clip, great song!

Didnt know Kelly Slater played guitar... awesome!

  • i have trouble sleeping so i put this on and its off to dream land...

  • THANKS FOR YOUR MUSIC & TALENT!

  • I think it is because Eddie has walked so very close to the edge that gives him the depth that separates him from the boring. Genuine is a brand that is earned not bought & Eddie earned that long ago. Thanks bro for stepping outside your own boundaries to pay tribute to someone that continues to inspire us all!

  • @sjhgm1 walking close to the edge......you'd be surprise where your mind can take you when this happens. Those who walk to the edge and fail at it are the victims of suicide......the ones who stay are mostly called genius.

  • @edemvedson Is that your quote?

  • You what I think Eddie Vedder is after listening to this wonderful soundtrack? A modern Cat Stevens.

  • @classicmidnightmusic funny you say that, i was also thinking about cat stevens when listening to long nights

  • I love Edie music!

  • I can never find the name of this song! can someone please tell me? Much appreciated :)

Left: one mediocre musician who is a whore attention

Right: Maybe the best songwriter ever besides of a beautiful person

  • #OMG wwwwowww super download іt роор.su

  • i like it

  • I wasn't as big a Pearl Jam fan as most of my friends, but I really like Eddie Vedder doing these softer, haunting acoustic ballads. The depth of his voice and talent is really showcased quite amazingly.

  • @21dt75

You're right. But don't forget to credit the book. After all that's where the movie's soul and message come from.

  • Not much of a singer is he?

  • @realdrummer110

Yeah, only one of the best singers in the world :s

Go get your ears checkd :P

  • @jak526 Yeaah? Not..Where is he now?

  • Love it! but have one question: where can I find the song with the "hmmmm" part only? I love that part! and in the cd is not there?

  • the 42 dislikes should go to hell! jk

  • the movie is amazing..

  • una la mejores peliculas ke he visto,

  • Chris had a short but full adventure, and if his life was anything like the movie, the second half was full filling for more than he, may his memory live on and for the people he touched may they be better for it. remember Chris when ever you breath and you can see the mist come from within. for he is with you. into the wild to stay mild.

  • i love eddie vedder

  • there was this girl who played with me, and seriously hurt me....i thought of doing the same thing McCandless did

  • @tippman2k01 I would say do it but stay educated, find a rainbow ;)

  • « Happiness only real when shared »

  • @21dt75

i completly agree with you this film changed my aspect on life and eddie vedder is a genious for the songs he wrote for this film.

  • @21dt75 I can't agree with you more! It got me thinking about life for 5 moths already, and still going on.

  • 41 dislikes??...I don't get it. This is great.

  • @SoccerguyJoe If you think about it.. it's not to bad. Over 1 million views yet only 41 dislikes. It's pretty good actually.

  • @SoccerguyJoe 41 out of 1.25 million ammazingly awsome. into the wild

  • Is this off the into the wild soundtrack album?

  • This is still on top of my list of favorites. Eddie is super talented, taking the time to learn so many instraments for the sound track ... he deserved better at the awards!

  • I could hear this song over and over and think of all the thing's in my life

  • THIS SONG IS THE BEST OF THE BESTS

  • feelings

  • i love this song! wuju

  • tyvm =)

  • JUST CRYYYYY

  • What's the opening song here?

  • The book is also amazing in too many ways to describe, check it out.

  • nice song!

  • such an amazing feeling you get with this music

discribes the whole feeling of being in the big wide world

  • This song is thoughtprovoking- really good

  • eddie is so cool cause he is from Seattle...the cooliest place on Earth

  • @toocootay From San Diego first though...another cool place. Course I am sort of partial I guess.

  • no meaning whatsoever

  • This movie gives me the chills. And the song is just superb

  • i loove the movie !!

  • Really nice song (:

Can you please check my version of guaranteed and tell me what you think??

  • I love all these pictures w/ Eddie, he seems like the most down to earth guy and then I found out he was. Stopping to console my friend who was crying while backstage at a gig cuz his mother just passed from cancer then dedicating Rise to his mother before he played it, this man is 100% class, a true artist and an amazing human being.

  • @killaclown23 where was this at ?

  • @killaclown23

I agree 100%...if wasnt that kind of person I seriously doubt that he could make these beautiful music..this the best music I've heard in long.....loooong time..

  • magnifique, comme le film!

  • "...I read somewhere... how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong... but to feel strong..."

Best life story and movie ever...

  • "accepted into UCA...Tokyo (yeah, not Toyko)...final major project (yeah, not proejct)...best mate....blah blah bleh etc etc etc....NOTHING...none of your titles, projects, trips...will ever give you nothing but books, paper...NOTHING...this movie is about being OUT of the society, not IN it, like you ...you're a damn toy of that society...that society in wich Alexander Supertramp didn't feel part of... anyway...excuse my poor english, at least I know how to write the WORDS.

  • but in the end he realized that you cannot be happy if you have no one to share that happiness...so in the end he understood that his journey only led him that what he had before was good!!

  • Or maybe not what he had before, but what he got with that hippies couple, and with that old man. He could only find happiness in the society...

  • Comment removed

  • nobody said that your life in not good everyone find his way......but you needs society approval apparently... by flashing your status. and that a sign of weakens

  • insecure much?

  • How's Toyko? Make sure you don't double post on your "final major project" for digital screen arts...

  • Its about has pointless has your life journey. Means nothing Teaches nothing.

  • Have you watched the film enough to hear the speeches by the girl who plays his sister, explaining that (similar phrasing) "it became ever clearer that there was something else driving him"? Burning his money was clearly symbolic for himself, as was dumping his car - leaving behind the last of his previous identity.

His journey did mean nothing to other people, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good one.

  • Well it annoyed me, but not as much as 'dan in Real Life' annoys me, but still...

  • lol

  • Best movie !

  • This film was a waste. Could of been beautiful....

    His character was miss-leading.

...I hope I don't live my life like him, well the adventure I will take on but that'll be all.

    Gutted on you lad.

  • @kenjilepb Way to be dumb as a rock there buddy.

  • @kenjilepb Fuck You,Try keeping your negative thoughts to yourself,we be needing nothing from your sort!

  • You know it is based on a true story. You seem to be the one mislead.

  • U're an asshole.

  • very intelligent.... btw it would be "you're" not "your"... do they teach English in your digital arts program?

  • How the fuck do you know if he was happy or not when he died? What a stupid fucking statement.... how about you let ME take your of YOUR loved ones... I'll do em real good

  • Comment removed

  • @Coventrey ,I ain't bout starting this road again,take this post down!

  • You sir are a "self absorbed nonse". How can you say he Gave up!? Arrogance emits from every single orifice on your body. 'nuff said.

  • DuDe thats the point of the movie didnt u see what he wrote at the end Happines only real when shared ...but he ahd to discover that byhimself the fact that he died wasnt on plan :)

  • exactly, why do the morons not get this bit.

  • hey asshole,

u know how he died right, he could eat for fuck sakes, he was slowly starving to death. You think he could actually hike back to society even if he wanted to, he was way to weak. Man i hope you never get to experience anything clsoe to what he did. Go live the rest of ur life on this fuckin computer jacking off to baby porn u little dick

  • that's not even what the movie was about. it was about a man that did what he could to find himself and when he got to Alaska he found himself and his life was complete. nothing else mattered he may have died but again it didn't really matter cause his life was complete.

  • @kenjilepb You obviously missed the point. When he finally found himself he figured out how alone he really was and his happiness was missing cause he had noone to share it with. He realized it was time to return and the irony was he never got to pass on what he learned....I wouldn't expect it to change your life but it surely has added to mine..

  • great film, book and point....

  • this is a great movie and eddie vedder is a great musician

  • I have never seen a bigger group of homosexual rantings in my life. Listen to the soundtrack and shut the f*ck up.

  • "i feel part of everywhere"

  • Provoking

  • avatar doesn't come near this film....kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • @Tadecrus u are right man!! its far better than avatar coz there is no comparison of avatar with it!!

  • @Tadecrus yeah . into the wild is by far the most meaningfull film ive ever seen.

  • @Tadecrus Avatar is about human annihilation that my ancestors, Native Americans, endured. Into the Wild is about a man that disliked societial control and Avatar is a fictional film, whereas Into the Wild ia based on true story. Just because Avatar got great reviews and was a boxoffice hit doesn't mean that the story was great. The fiction and the fakeness is what makes it great. into the Wild is about real-life and sure is a hit in the heart.

  • not bad

  • Simply Great! Thank You!

  • Great movie, great singer, great song!!!

  • eddie dont ever stop

  • he wont!

  • geweldige tekstschrijver en zanger, behoort wellicht tot een van de beste aller tijden.

  • Yeah, exactly my thoughts.

  • Eddie, vc. é o melhor dos melhores.

  • Whats the Album called please i would love to buy it

  • INTO THE WILD >>>EDDIE VEDDER

  • "into the wild". i suggest you see the movie as well. same title. its very moving and it may teach you something. it did to me.

  • movie is captivating, as is avatar :P

  • i dont know about "avatar" but this movie is great.

  • We all need a space to think!

  • Hey, instead of discussing politics you should listen to this song.

Take the break in the middle to think of yourself and your live, wake up in the second part and try to become a better human being.

  • ValoR23...truer words have yet to be uttered....i completely agree! politics should be left to man who deserves a voice...we privilaged youths and adults need to keep quiet and find solace in our incredibly lucky lives and enjoy the simpler things like this charming story of a man who went to nature to escape but found more then he could ever imagine!

  • Sorry Penni14..... Iam afraid my english is not good enough to understand if you agree or want to say me iam wrong with my opinion.

Anyway, Iam happy to live in my own world and this "charming story of a man who went to nature" show me some things that i could do better.

And if iam listening to the Soundtrack of Eddie Vedder Iam some kind of ......... !

  • thats allright valo.....i was totally agreeing with you....and you are awesome for listening to this soundtrack.

  • fuck politics and fuck you hater

  • Sounds like your talking about dictators to me.

What does that have to do with the video?

  • u all talk about capitalism socialism communism but its so important the politics of your country? u are free u can do whatever u want dont let money limited ur dreams our your actions. start thinking about whats important in ur live and reach out and grab it. fuck all rest!!!

  • Moneyism. That's the universal truth. The common evil denominator. Is China Communist? Europe Socialist? US is Capitalist? They're all Moneyist. That's why they get along so well. All hunky dorey.

All the BS about Capitalist, Socialist, Communist, Anarchist... It's all just talk. We all either get richer exploiting others or we get exploited as we grow poorer. Or maybe a bit of both.

Those are our choices right now, until "something changes." Yeah, right.

  • All in all well said.

  • simply Awesome

  • i love this song and i wanna learn to play it on gutair!!!!

  • CHRIS HOLLY "Beauty of THIS" LIVE on youtube a must see!!!!!!!

  • great vid :)

  • esta pelicula me dejo anonadado wow q buen soundtrack de eddi

    sin palabras

  • lo mejor!!!!!!!1111

  • Capitolism is imploding on itself as I speak. People that dont have jobs or money, dont buy things.Maynot be long tell alot of us are liveing like supertramp.....so be it.

  • It's not capitalism - it's socialism.

  • Yeah, I should just call it as it is. The reason I say capitalism instead of socialism is I really think capitalism is the next phase of facisim and so many people connect socialism with the Nazis, exclusively. I think it would be a good change of pace to go back to hunter/gatherer ways of life. The only thing is that theres ALOT more people now vs. (PJ!) then. Had to slip that in there. Comic relief.

  • "next phase of fascism" illustrates your lack of understanding about the term itself.

Capitalism/socialism/communism, none of these ideologies are evil, per se. Only when man injects his bias, greed, and immorality do they become evil.

It is impossible to legislate morality, and correspondingly immorality. Understand?

Capitalism rewards the most innovative and efficient, easily the best idea we have so far.

  • True, tho' it seems that these ideologys were created by man,so they must be inflicted from the get go?! Money is the common denominater, not love for all these...
