  • my jdm teg is 200 bhp this varys as the porting and polishing was done by hand before the computers and robots took over ,,, the gsr or sir in japan where 170bhp or 167bhp ,,the uk itr was 187 bhp ,,,as for the lug situation 96 spec are 4 stud anything later is 5 stud

  • @floridaxhardcorex777 you are high. gsr motors make about 150-155, and R motors make about 165, at the tire, on the dyno, give or take a couple HP either way for fudge factor.

  • 233 on stock internals? No. Sorry. no stock piston/rod 1797cc B18C is making 233 at the tire. Cool car (for the states) but realistically its probably a 170whp-185whp car. enjoy it for what it is.

  • @96integra02 no. 195 to the flywheel according to Honda. STock, at the tire a type R motor makes about 163-165 depending on how healthy it is. You kids crack me up. Remember, some of us were swapping these in our cars before there was youtube, or honda-tech.

  • The whole ITR/CTR phase went out a long time ago. It's now about as popular as the Dodge Stealth (only d-bags like them). Could be just me, I'm done with the whole FF approach to life, it's lame and the people who drive them are so self absorbed that they should all die in a fire, but that's my opinion.

  • 233whp is really good for an Type R, that is Chevy 350ci small block power in a car thats only 2600lbs. Internals maybe stock though its hard to believe. They could have decked the block, and changed to a thinner head gasket increasing the compression ratio. Maybe ITBs with a proper tune could get you there. Though I still don't believe it has completely stock internals.

  • Seeing as b18c-rs have 195 horses stock, a simple i/h/e setup and a tune will easily give you 233 horses.

    Albeit, it has to be a real good tune. :P

  • I've been into the ITR for years now, but theirs still new stuff out there that I learn from time to time. The best place to learn more about it I think would be honda-tech. Thats probably the most informative forum out there for Hondas and the scene in general.

  • All of that being said, I really doubt that this ITR made 233whp with stock internals. Even with a great head, perfect tune and excellent conditions, The best I have ever seen is in the 210-215wph and even that is pushing it. Did this car make that power? Possibly, but not with all stock internals and a tune.

  • First off Tnesjed, H22's only put down maybe 170whp on a good day. I can prove this with actual dyno print outs. Second, All motor power and turbo power are two completely different driving experiences. An all motor car like this integra would likely beat a 600whp car on a real track. It's about engine response.

  • soledad listen to mushrume , I wasnt the one talking shit about this type r which sounds to me like he is reving past the8500 mark Maybe up too 10000 rpm that shit sounds long , the vtec pops early compared to the rev limit, so dont talk down a b series when a k20 is alot more touchy and needs maintaince alot faster when ran all day. I know because my friend is a tech at the honda world dealer, if you have the money to spend yeah its faster but not as relaible so dont hate on yesterdays new

  • the dc2's are far better than the k20 counterpart.

    they are just as fast in stock and some places faster. plus if you got a 98 + the reliability is rediculous. the dc2 will outlast the k20 ona track also .

  • True the DC2 will outlast the K20 DC5 on a track...but that's in rare cases, and due to different setups.

    Like I said B-Series was yesterday's news. Honda has put out a stronger, more efficient motor on the market. Not only that the 2.0 has two different types to match what your going for. Forced inducted (obviously the lower compression American K), and the Type R K20a with a high compression for N/A setups

  • Did you mean the larger VTEC cam lobe? If so then they must have the solenoid permanently actuated. That would be putting in a lot more air than the shorter fuel efficiency cam lobe. Hence the repetitive reving.

  • if you want the performance of the type r, you should get an integra rs because it is the lightest version, then swap out the b18b head for a b16a head. the b18c5 in the type r is essentially a b16 head on a b18 block for better flow.

  • its a tuned b16 head. and there are other differences than that . gearing. lsd, they are shorter. oil cooler . lighter conrods, pistons , mirror finishing . more counterweights on the crank . you can go all day to be honest . then you have the body bracing . suspension setup. exhaust .

  • dandyandy905, just to let you know that integra's rev up to 9,000rpm easy... you can chance gear at 9,500rpm, they hold the revs well especially because of that 2nd cam

  • It's not authentic rhd honda type r, it's a USDM ITR converted to RHD. Trust me I spoke with with the owner he is from VA Beach.
