actually george might still be alive just not in the galaxy provided the slipspace drive did teleport him to another galaxy or into slipspace since he still was on the corvette if it was teleported as a whole into slipspace and it does have its own slipspace drive and provided he knows how to pilot it he can make it out but if the game makers killed him in script well all this theory is of course useless cheers
