Where are the Scriptures that define "ready"? I have been a deacon and tithed and have great job andfamily. I have no addictions and stuff. I have sinned, but confess with brothers. But you have me scared, maybe all that is not right. Maybe I am missing something and will go to hell cause I don't know what "ready" means and I don't believe in the rapture. Will I go to hell if I don't believe in the rapture? So it really is not "GRACE"; according to you it is "WORKS". I have to be "ready enough".

@elskid206 Wow, where do I start, brother? I also was a deacon, a youth pastor, a Sunday School teacher & tithed for over 30 years - but I was lost. I followed my church's dogma & not the word of the LORD. I was not ready to meet the LORD at any second - Luke 12:40. Read John chapter 14:1-3 & 1 Thes. 16-18 and then tell me you don't believe in a rapture. Nowhere in my video did I ever say anything about works - we can ONLY be saved by the grace of the LORD - I don't know where you got that idea.

@SilverCollector I got the idea from the people telling me to be "ready", that if I am not "watching"/ "ready", I will be left behind. Why do people keep saying that? I keep asking what they mean by "watch" or "ready" and I just get run in circles. If I have "accepted Jesus" and was baptized, I'm "saved". RIGHT? Then I don't have to do anything else. Who cares about the rapture? Somehow I am getting into heaven, RIGHT. Whether stairs open up or I am beamed up. Why should I care?

Only the LORD knows the intent of the heart - I'm only mortal - I do know that professing & the intent of the heart can be completely contrary. I also know that the LORD told believers many many times to be watching & waiting - if one's truly saved & loves the LORD they will follow the LORD's commands. You should care because because the LORD told us to watch & wait.

@SilverCollector Though I do not deny that I "test the spirit" pretty regularly, I am not sure what you saw, and I am certain I would not be ashamed of anything you found. And, yes, very regularly people often chose to question my salvation rather than either answer a question directly or admit something they don't want to. Like in your post. No answer to HOW to watch/wait or WHY a saved person NEEDS to worry about ANYTHING. Isn't that the whole point - "blessed assurance". Church = deception

@SilverCollector Now THAT I agree with. And THAT has been my point. The church teaches "once saved; always saved". Walk an isle; accept Jesus; water baptism; wait for the rapture bus; But a lot of people here tell others to "watch/wait" OR ELSE risk "left behind". THAT is a conflict. And that is why I left the church. First they never saw the conflicts of their concept and THEN they refuse to admit them. Instead they take to character assignation and questioning people's salvation.

@elskid206 I suspect you & I are much closer in belief than you originally thought before you tried to knock me down publicly here (except for the rapture). You come across as judgmental & without love, without having all the facts about the one you are trying to scourge (but I suspect you are not really like that in your heart). I also suspect our backgrounds (faith-wise) are very similar. Romans 13:10.

I see a rapture in many OT verses - Dan 12:1-2, Psalms 50:3-6 & 144:5-8 & with Enoch.

@SilverCollector Dan 12 seems to discuss "deliverance" which does not mean raptured out of ones shoes. Psalms 50 and 144 don't see it. Enoch is tough. But I think it does not tip the scales for me. BUT where is the direct prophesy that A) christianity will be invented and B) that it will be removed. Remember Amos 3:7. NOTHING happens that is not foretold by the prophets. Something as earth shaking as the rapture would have been clearly discussed.

It is like people who do sunday instead of the Sabbath. Why? They say it is because the "bible teaches that". Sorry. The catholic church changed the Sabbath to the "Lord's Day".(google that too.) Then apparently some protestant had to make it 'Scriptural". BUT IT'S NOT.

Amos 3:7 says NOTHING will happen that is not foretold by the prophets. Would you show me OT Scripture that details the invention of christianity and the eventual REMOVAL of it? I see Noah, Daniel, Shadrach Meshach and Abednego and Goshen (google it) as GREAT examples of people surviving THRU tribulation.

@SilverCollector I am not EXACTLY sure which "house" that means. My take is that it could be speaking of the EIGHT DAY. I believe the 8th day is culmination of ALL HUMAN HISTORY. 7days = 7000yrs; 6days Plus Sabbath Rest = 6000yrs PLUS 1000 yrs Messiah reign on earth. THEN adversary released; destroyed; death destroyed. THEN "we", who have been cleansed by the Messiah, are presented to the FATHER. That is the time line in 1Cor 15:24. It is not being with "Jesus", it is restoration to Father.

It's almost as if the LORD started speaking to true believers hearts in a new way around 2008 & 2009? My brain says we'll go home some Rosh Hashanah - my heart prays it's this one. 2011 - the year we go home???

@SnapDLizard He does not need to take us out to protect us. Noah, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel were all protected THRU their "tribulations". Israel suffered the first 3 plagues and then Goshen was spared being effected by the next 6. We are told 10,000 will fall at our right and 1000 at our left, but the righteous will be safe. Come on. Imagine what Egypt thought seeing Goshen protected. Imagine UNBELIEVERS seeing people UNTOUCHED by the tribulation. Now THAT is a witness.

@mvfanjw What is all this "get ready" stuff? When I "accepted Jesus" and was baptized, I was told "my eternity was sealed, that I would spend eternity with Jesus. No one said anything about "be ready". When I sin, I confess. My pastor told me NOTHING could separate me from Jesus. So what is "ready". How are you getting "ready"? What is I don't get "ready" enough. Should I try HARDER not to sin. But if I sin, I thought I was under the blood and I was (AM already) forgiven. DEFINE "READY"
