  • All these guys still look bald. Just try to be happy and healthy, and don't worry about you appearance so much.

  • @Saebeck32 For many men and women, hair loss is a concern. The point of this news story is that some medical treatments and procedures can help.

  • I don't trust propecia!

  • lol...

  • err if there are no really effective treatments then at least make a dam good wig lollllll

  • its really amazing, ive had hair transplant at 26 and the results are good

  • that was 4 years ago. anyone know of any better products now? even if more costly

  • @Ddstairclimber NeoGraft FUE hair transplants are less invasive and leave no linear scar like the old-style 'strip' harvest. LaserCap blows away the hand-held comb lasers when it comes to power, convenience and results. Compounded minoxidil like Formula 82M is more powerful with less side effects than the over-the-counter (rogaine or generic) versions. These are major improvements over the past few years!! --Dr Bauman

  • Grow your hair long, and hide bald areas. How about that ?

  • I see hair trans is the best solution but as the reported said, on must consult a doctor before doing so

  • when will the video ,if any,of the progress after a year be uploaded?

  • I am 30 and taking Finasteride 5mg pills cut into 1/3rd's, Minoxidil 5% and using shampoo with ketoconazole.2%. I started from the position similar to where the best guy was after 6 months. I have found that my hairloss has stopped though it is a bit early to assess regrowth.

  • @CybershulDotCom and how are you 8 months late?

  • Hello Dr Bauman, tell me more about shock loss after a transplant? I went to a local hair transplant doctor in Chicago and they told me I'm a bad candidate because I have hair all over my head, I just wanted to fill in my hairline so I can style my hair better. They told me the rest of my hair around the transplanted hair will fall out due to shock.

  • @sadiku1116 Shock loss is a rare post-op problem. Careful work, high-powered magnification, small instrumentation, a minimally-invasive approach, and a robust healing regimen can all help diminish the typically small chance of shock loss. For example, a large number of our hair transplant patients are women with thinning hair, not baldness. We have been very successful in helping these patients using the approach described above.

  • Hair transplants seem to be the only thing that really makes a difference too bad its the most expensive, I went to a doctor and he told me it would cost around $10,000 for one treatment, and he recommended I have two!!!

  • If I won the lottery I would try all of these plus acupuncture and eat aloe vera everyday.

  • i need money @#$#

  • I'm only 15 and I started to lose when I was 13, Ive lost 20% already or even more, you can see my skin when u look at my head. I have to use spray to cover it from school. Im only 15, and noone listening to me :/ Not even mom. Ive been to doctors they dont do anything they say that there is noway they can do it either so in the next 1 year or 2 i wont have much.

  • My dads hair loss isint that bad his thin hair suits him an he said he made it to his 40s with only a little hair loss I just wanna get through my 20s safely an maybe half my 30s

  • @karan6 Thank you for your comment. The best protection against future hair loss are non-invasive FDA-approved medical treatments. The earlier you start, the better your chances of keeping your hair. :-)

  • @alanbauman Hi, I’m a 19 year old male with a slight receding hairline, will it be okay to take medication to help my hairline? I’ve heard some bad side effects to it and I’m scared to go near the stuff, you know? I don’t want to damage my hair even more by taking medicine.

  • @jest544 Go cry somewhere else you little whinny bitch

  • @james1418 Thank you for your comment. We wish you good luck with your upcoming hair transplant procedure. Are you having a linear or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction/NeoGraft)-style harvest? --Dr. B.

  • it is interesting to see a good comparison!

  • All of these treatments are b.s. for hair REGROWTH. I use Propecia (and have been for about 10 years) and it MAINTAINS wonderfully the hair I have. There are no side-effects. I wish I had started it earlier than I did, but I was under a false impression that it caused impotence. Propecia is pricey and that's the only thing negative I can say about it.

  • @bradwatson7324 Brad, you have it exactly right. Non-invasive treatments are designed to keep the hair you have. Side-effects are extremely rare, and reversible if they occur. --Dr. B.

  • @alanbauman but propecia improves the quality of your hair and in some cases it could regrowth it right?

  • lol dr. romanelli pushed the patients head down like an annoting object.

  • @jest544 A "spam-report"? That's hilarious. You mean like trolling user sites over and over again to post defamatory comments? Please update me as soon as you hear from the YouTube higher ups.

  • jus wear a wig

  • @bxccapricorn-- Certainly an option, but most of our patients want to restore their own living and growing hair. --Dr. Bauman

  • lol they are baldy

  • i wonder if using propecia, rogaine and laser comb would have good results

  • @connecttro I used rogaine AND a laser comb for about 8 straight months. The result I got was I had less hair fall out. But as far as regrowing new hair I saw nothing. I wanted to do a whole year but it is a serious commitment!

  • does paul take propecia after surgery as he was supposed to

  • Provillus works. Not just with me , I have several friends who have used at at really had tremendous hair growth. It's offered at a 10% discount at CheapProvillus (.) info

  • has anyone had success with saw palmetto?

  • all this hair growth crap is just as rubbish its like all the womans wrinkle free cream

  • @Westonci Really?? thats cool.. Finally geting Rid Of This Crap For Good... well Hopefuly thats Mean No More Use of Rogain and propecia.. i think That What People dont Like is That They have to Use Those 2 things For Life and It cost alot I can see why There Bicthing...

  • Yep, that's exactly why they don't like it. Too much trouble.

  • @jjobie Yea Its Troble and I been Hearing That people Been Takeing Enther One Or Both Been having Some Really Bad side affects.. But I bleve Rogain and Propecia Days Are coming to a End With Hair Cloneing and Spem Cells and a Finally a Cure.. But For Now I bleve a hair Transplant Is a good way to for Right Now Just need to Study Very hard and make sure The doctor is the right One...

  • i guess Hair Transplant Beats out Rogain and Propecia I know that you might Have to Take Enther Propecia or Rogain But I think The Reson why people dont Like propecia Or Rogin is That It has to be taken for Life and It cost you I can see That.. and Rogin Burns Ur Head up..

and for What I seen Hair Transplant dont seem That bad Just need to fine The right Doctor

  • true, rogaine is shit, i used it a short time and no it hurts when i pee. I used rogaine and it burnt after 2 weeks using it but now i have this spectral DNC cream, contains minoxidil as well but without the burning alcohol, i will test this product

  • @sharpanator Well Wish you The Best on It i Really do and Hopefully Something will turn Up to end Hair Lost Once and for all... Funny That Rogain Had Alcohol In It and its not good for your Hair and They want you to take it HA...

  • sorry i made mistake here, i mean after finasterid use it hurts when go to toilette. Minoxidil hurt my eyes and the alcohol burnt on the skalp after some weeks. Dont know if the alcohol even caused hair loss, hehhehe

  • I don't 'get paid' to promote any prescription treatments. Any youtube user can respond, but misleading, offensive, false comments usually get the "thumbs down" from the masses! I encourage all hair loss suffers to do their research and learn that propecia side effects are extremely rare and reversible (if they occur) and that miracle 'dht-blockers' simply don't have scientific evidence to support their use. The part that doesn't "smell right" is your attack on almost 15 years of data!

  • ...and you just happen to know of a 'safe, herbal alternative,' right...? ;)

    Please!

  • There are plenty of cases of herbal alternatives working. A quick google search will find examples. You aren't going to do it with a single pill but it is possible. Propecia is probably the most effective in terms on number of hairs regrown, but I'd rather take and improve my overall health than take the risk of paying 80 a month and having to quit because it stops me from getting hard-ons. Of course you'll probably say I'm an idiot but if it works...

  • syrahair......google please

  • =German Toppik

  • I agree with my buddy DIZZZZY1975:

Don't listen to all these men who complain about getting "permanent sexual problems" from the drug Propecia.

They all probably had pre-existing conditions.

Propecia is a fantastic product from a fantastic company. Merck is the most innovative company in the world of Pharma right now.

If you are balding, I strongly urge you to buy a 2-year supply of Propecia immediately! Just do it!

A good website is Pharma5 Propecia Online.

  • I've been taking Propecia for ten years, every other day at 11pm. I have a full head of hair, thick, just like back when I was 24. I started taking it at the first sign of hair thinning and never lost my hair. To eliminate side effects, I drink a gallon of water throughout a typical day (more or less), exercise, and diet well. ...Kind of ruins the conspiracy thing, but it's been ten years, I fathered a beautiful baby girl in 2005, and my father and brother went bald around 26 or so.

  • I hear that excessive masturbation can cause hair loss because it releases excess DHT into your system. Does anyone know if this statement is fact or crap. I am 24 years old and have started to see a slight receeding hairline already.

  • i dont know about that but if youre 24, get a chick and stop masturbating already.

  • @beardownchitown No Thats What People though but Its not .. Masturbation Has notiing to do with Hair Loss.. Only Way you get hair lost Is If you Have a Family History of It Enther Mom or Dad..

  • Actually it's funny that you just got back I just recently started to try to cut myself off from it so much and started using nizoral shampoo at the same time and have not seen any hair fall for a few weeks. It is starting to thicken out as well. allthough i didnt have much hair loss to begin with.

  • Anti-dandruff shampoo will not, help. But neither will propecia

  • Joe's hairloss got worse in the bald area but better in the nonbald area if you asked me. Did he applied the treatment to the wrong areas?

Richard used Propecia seemed to be somewhat better.

You can't beat hair transplant but it is the most expensive.

Where is the 1 year after broadcast? I want to see what happened to them.

  • The problem with minoxodil is it actually speeds up hair loss at first, and then you have to wait at least three months before you can even tell if its working. I always start using it, lose more hair and then get discouraged and stop using it altogether. I think I actually lost more hair due to using the product.

  • Minoxidil is a treatment for hair loss, it doesn't "speed it up." However, you might see shedding initially with minoxidil, laser therapy and/or propecia as new hairshafts push out the old, resting ones. This is the normal cycling that hair follcles go through when they 'switch' from a resting phase to a growing phase and produce new hairshafts.

  • If I may ask, how long will the follcles be in this resting phase before it starts growing again?

  • Has anybody tried putting coffee in their hair ? I hear it's the latest thing for re-growing hair.

  • It works best with a donut.

  • I stopped using shampoo and started just rinsing my hair with water for 5 minutes every other day. On the days i wash my hair i use bar soap. My hair has started to regrow. I think shampoo is the problem in many cases.

  • i hit my head repeatatly with a cucumber hesterday and today I have more hair!

  • hahaha very funny but it wont be funny if u were loosing hair

  • sit on it for faster results.

  • A real cure for baldness... click my name and scroll to "Classic Commercial HAIR ANALYSIS 1970's"

  • vivascale seems like th best product to stop hairloss

  • there is no difference between before and after u r all fools

  • How can you walk around with a bald spot? Shave your head for fuck sake lol.

  • LOL...Be careful what you wish for stupid. Enjoy your youth and hair for now, but rest assured you are NOT immune to the curse. It'll eventually affect you, probably faster then you can ever imagine.

  • im gonna be bald by the time im 25 i know. but my point is i'd rather shave my head than have a bald spot. women prefer bald men or guys with shaved heads to men with bald spots its a fact ask any of them.

  • LOL You think so? Bro, women don't like men without hair period! Just cause you shave your head that doesnt make you more of a attractive. LOL. Unless you have a Vin Diesel type of skull the notion that women prefer bald men of ANY type is pure fantasy. Fuck this shit curse to hell!

  • porksniffer, i'm with you. i have an odd shaped head, so i'm definitely not looking forward to baldness.

    damn you genetics.

  • Hey "bro", women will ALWAYS prefer a man who shaves his head with dignity over a man that walks around with a bald spot or hair sprouting around the sides. Dont get me wrong, I want to keep my hair but I shave it anyway. You sound very insecure, I hope you manage to find some kind of inner confidence (Im not trying to be patronising by the way, I really do hope that you manage to not let hairloss ruin your life).

  • To repeat, since you don't seem to understand, which is not a surprise given your age, not everyone has a perfectly shaped head. You wear a bald head good? Congratulations! You rank 1 level above a guy with a bald spot. and hair on the sides on women's attractiveness scale. As for confidence and baldness ruining my life, how did you come up with that Dr. Phil? Because I replied to your stupid "just shave your head" comment? Grow up bro.

  • The way you're talking about it is fucking pathetic you insecure little pussy. Nobody wants to lose their hair (me definitely included), but women laugh at men with bald spots. Maybe you have one that you refuse to shave. I dont particularly have a great head shape, I prefer my hair short though. GOOD DAY MAAM.

  • You calling me an "insecure little pussy" from the comfort and safety of your mother's basement and computer monitor? LMFAO. You gotta be kidding me!! Does shaving your egg shaped skull make you an internet tough guy? I have an idea. If ever you're in Calgary, hit me a PM so I can urinate on your bald head you vile piece of balding garbage.

  • lol im not bald buddy, i have a shaved head. And Im sure I'd kick the shit out of you Zinedine Zidane!

  • So I am guessing best thing to do is hair transplant? Also i heard stem cell is coming out.

Doesn't look like you get results with other stuff?

  • I ended up seeing Dr. Samuel Lam who lies on youtube and his website and ended up with AWFUL work. He is nowhere as good as he says he is and he is far overpriced. He comes off as knowledgeable on his videos but as someone has said, he spends more time on the internet than he does in his office preparing for your surgery. He gets dates and important facts mixed up, and he really should be looked at by the Texas Medical Board. I don't know what hes doing practicing.

  • the laser hair comb uses two lasers and reflecting mirrors. The laser hair glove uses 4 lasers and is less than half the cost.

  • I found another model in England for a little less. I paid £199 for a Jordan Carroll Hair lX-9 with 9 lasers. They also have laser systems with 30 -300 lasers built in. Took me about 5-7 weeks to see new growth. These machines really work. Long gone has the penalty spot..lol

  • I can't wait to see results with my hair transplant! I got it done 2 weeks ago. I will be posting up the weekly progress of it too.

  • I cant wait to see

Does the hair laser thing work for women too?

  • Subscribe to my page to see more videos. I didn't do the hair laser. I did the hair transplant. I am glad I did because it looks like the guy in the video had the most results!

  • Results from once a day minoxidil are modest at best, unless you are using a high-percentage, prescription version. Once a day is better than nothing, however. If you're using minox once a day, you might want to consider adjunctive treatment (propecia, laser, etc.)

  • Alanbauman, I am 28 and I have been using propecia for a little while now and I do believe it is preventing my hair loss from furthering but have not seen much regrowth like I wanted. Would combining the laser comb with the propecia do any good?

  • It's dpressing to see this, I don't want to take oral medication, and transplants? well, some might like it, but I have heard some horror stories. I want my hair back, but not at the cost of my health. We can go to the moon, we can kill the inhabitants of a house and leave the house standing(sick), so how about some honesty and a real solution. Put one price on it and don't squeeze me the rest of my life, and I will pay, and love you for it!!!

  • Hair loss is a medically-treatable condition. It is a genetic condition that gets worse with time without treatment. The main plan is: 1) protect the hair you have and 2) restore what you've lost. For most, this means ongoing treatment (propecia, minox, laser, etc.) to prevent the loss of hair and transplantation to permanently restore hair follicles to where you need coverage. --Dr. B.

  • does oral herpes cause hairloss??

  • Sorry, but this Dr. Romanlly guy is a joke. He saw results where there weren't any (at the first guy), but I what i liked the most was when he was saying he saw "some new follicles".

  • Dr. Romanelli is triple board-certified; Dermatology, Pathology and Dermatopathology. Regardless, each participant got an improvement on their regimen. As you would expect, the one with the most advanced hair loss and age had the least response from the non-invasive regimen and the hair transplant did the best.

  • Since its only six months, should these men expect their hair to become fuller within the other six? I heard it takes a full year and more than one operation to get a real fullness.

I mean, it looks great in comparison to what they had prior, but what if they are seeking an even fuller look?

  • Yes. It takes a full year to see the results of any treatment or procedure.

  • i got a birthmark on my head and it like 3 cm long and does it work with velform hair grow plus`? plz plz plz reply !

  • propecia help . com has some vital information about 5ar inhibitors that tv and even most doctors are ignorant to.

  • can you get propecia or finasteride in a local pharmacy or do you HAVE to buy it online? I'd rather get it from my local pharmacy

  • As a dispensing physician here in Florida, we can privately provide the medication directly to you here at the office. I actually discourage patients from buying medications online--it's risky. When it comes to medication, it's not the best idea to search for the cheapest on the internet--you never know what you're getting.

  • yes you can buy it from a local pharmacy. You can talk to your local pharmacist and he will order it for you.

  • You need a doctors prescription.

  • Unfortunate but true, most derms do not treat hair loss. That's why you need a Hair Restoration Physician. There are about 100 of us who are board-certified. Also, the follicle does not 'fall out' when the hair is shed. Some shedding is normal (~100/day). The thinning problem you have is more likely due to minaturization of the hair follicles--growing shorter, thinner, etc. Not a 'fall out' problem. Treatment is available...

  • I can tell from looking in a mirror that the back of my head is losing hair like crazy, when you can see flesh that you couldn't see before it is pretty freaking obvious. Also when my hair falls out it has a small chunck of scalp on it. I am guessing that is the dead folicle and is a hair that will never grow back. The sad thing about my dermatologist is that i bet she make 70 percent of her money injecting botulinum toxin into womens faces, but doesn't really care about balding men.

  • 24 year old male, my hair started fallout fast in the past 6 months. at this rate i will be totally bald in a year. i just ordered propecia from kwikmed. my dermatologist keeps stringing me along to wait and see, but by the time i get to the next appointment it will be too late. i want to keep what i have. She also wants to do a biopsy. Is this normal, can't a dematologist tell by looking after several visits? I think she is more interested in the visit payments than actually helping me

  • u try regaine, saw palmetto tablet, nizoral shampoo.....this is my trearment product...give it time to work at least 1 year..now i can maintain my hair..and got new hair growth..and now i just order hairmax laser comb....for hair styling use a great quality product, like me i use Min New York....:)

  • id kill to have hair like some of these guys, and they are 20 years older than me. That laser shit is crap though. So sorry to anyone that wastes money on that. These drugs only work with mild hairloss, which all these guys have. If your like me, early 20's and a solid NW4 your basically screwed.

  • where is the 12 month results video?

  • If you start Propecia, you will see that the thinner hairs will begin to thicken, grow longer and have more pigmentation. I've been performing FUE transplants since 2002 and I was the first to design a commercially available instrument to help doctors perform FUE. FUE makes up a significant part of my practice--it is a good option for those who want to avoid the linear scar.

  • Dr. Bauman I am a norwood 3 I believe , could send you pics for further analysis. I was wondering if I began taking propecia would my results or uld they possiably thicken the frontal area of my hair? I am thinking of getting a FUE for the front to , so that I can avoid an invasive scar on the back of my head. I hear doctors such as Dr. Cole and others are very good at FUE. Any advice or reccomendations? My hair elsewhere seems fine just the front is hit hard.

  • they all sell you shit, and tell you to massage your scalp for a couple of minutes, if you see any results that is from the massage that helps blood flow not from the crab they sell. government should something about it.

  • 'crab?' Actually, massage is not necessary when you apply minoxidil which directly stimulates the follicles. Remember that the non-invasive treatments like minoxidil and propecia are mainly designed to stop the progression of hair loss.

  • Only real solution is a hair transplant and a minimum of 5000 grafts to see significant results. 30-40 thousand

  • lmao!! omg these guys are really silly ;D

  • the only thing that works is a transplant thats it

  • anyone has the next part? I really would like to watch it!

  • Is there like a 12 month update on their treatment?

  • So where is the final year results? Can anyone find the video? My guess is the big hairloss companies paid off nbc to not show it. If anyone has found the video please tell me. These videos are from 2004.

  • rogain (minoxidil) workd for me...i started usin it in my early 20's im in my 30's now ..it took about a year to see the results but u have to stick to the dosage sometimes i even use it 3 times a day ..u get lots of hair everywhere tho lol ..but watever...get the walgreens brand minoxidil it works just as good as rogain and its cheaper...and no side effects ..im still sexually active and healthy but i stay healthy and eat healthy i think that helps too

  • did you still have falling hair after 3 months of use? because I think rogaine is working for me but i might be kidding myself because when I apply the rogaine i still have fallen hair on my hands.

  • Im going to start using rogaine coz im noticing hair loss. I would say its normal your still losing hair. Check the hair on your hands, is it thinner than normal? if its thicker then rogain is producing stronger hair thats naturally falling out that will regrow.

  • And to prove my point after all the treatments in this video who out there of all you folks honestly will jump up and down shouting EUREKA A CURE A CURE A CURE, the sound in "family fortunes" springs to mind, dont waste your money because youll be even more depressed by spending a fortune on medication that dont work and problem still there.

  • Don't waste your time with Propecia.

    It doesn't work.

We have to wait for Hair Cloning or Hair Multiplication.

Laser comb? Don't make me laugh.

  • Very true Paul, sorry folks for bad news but nothing like this works, some ppl will say that follicles are dormant and can regrow again this is Bull, this is a myth, the follicle is dead if you have alopecia.

Sometimes stress can stop follicles producing hair but if you have male patt baldness thats it, dont waste ur money, Look at the millions of pounds spent on crap and not 1 person in the world can punch the air in amazement or success, if baldness effects you mentally then try electroylisis.

  • It's amazing what people will do, I tried some things for quite awhile, but was soarly disappointed, I am however kind of excited about the news regarding regeneration of har follicles at U penn. maybe eh? Vanity, thy mate(cohort) is man. Hope it happens before I am gumming porridge, be well

  • Why are you so quick to dismiss the laser comb? It seems like a promising product; it's been approved by the FDA....

  • no it has not

  • Any web search for "fda hair comb" will come up with lots of websites, confirming that it was approved by the FDA. It happened in Feb of 2007. :oP

  • when you see u losing hair, you dont wait meanwhile you do some reseach and find the best product for you until hair cloning is available for you. I started using rogaine and the laser comb about a year ago and so far Im happy with the results. the laser comb works!

  • Lost hair follicles cannot regrow new hair once it stopped growing you have more chance of regrowing a lost limb. I had treatment when I first suspected was losing hair so had electrical treatment at a tricholigist 1 day a week for 4 - 6 weeks nearly 15 years ago and have still a full head of hair at 42 my brother was bald at 42 and we both had similar hair he is 10 years older you have to act now not when worsens treatment cost 700 uk pounds hope this helps cause 4 some ppl it is devastating.

  • The hair follicles never die, they just shrink and stop producing hair. So you can restart them, we just don't know how. I am actually doing research for my senior seminar to get my biology degree on restarting hair growth.

  • HEAVY METAL AWAITS :)

  • Hairmax sucks...I personally bought a year ago and Im still losing hair.

  • For some, laser is not enough. There are newer laser units (cordless, rechargeable, shorter treatment times, etc.) available. Also, some patients need other therapies in conjunction with laser to reach their goals.

  • Please post the after 1 year results video. Exepecting to see the unexpected. Thanks.

  • I have a feeling the merch of propecia had the worst results and didnt want the results being posted.

  • so, the last guy had a hair transplant?

  • there is a great article on how to grow hair back with results in 24 hours...at emrix(.)com

  • is there a follow up video?

  • The laser was not really approved for androgenetic hairloss. It was approved just as a safe device to use, since it was the 510K approval, a kind of approval that don't have really value.

  • i thought they [from my readings] said the comb was one of a very few proven to have results.

  • Dr Allan Feller, respectable doctor, don't believe in laser for hairgrow. He said it's just marketing to get money from desperated consumers. The FDA approval it's a third class approval, 510K as called, and only it's about the laser comb be safe, unharmfull, to use, and not about effectiveness to treat hair-loss. It just help reduce excessive oil on scalp, and reduce inflamations.

  • He didn't believe in propecia either, at first. Laser doesn't work for everyone. Like minoxidil, remember that laser improves hair quality and does not regrow hair where follicles are dead and gone. This is a common misconception. The treatment has to fit the condition.

  • I know that dead follicles do not mgrown hair never more. But alive folicles that are in advanced stage of miniaturization do not respond to minoxidil, propecia, laser or what ever. I talked with people who used laser, and have folicles alive, and they got no benefit.

  • If a person have excessive oil on scalp and inflamation, and respond well to laser to normalise that, he will have some benefit to hair, but it's not like the laser would act in the causes of androgenetic alopecia, and the benefit will be lost in near future, since the androgenetic alopecia it's progressive due sensibility of hair to DHT. If you want totreat androgenetic alopecia you need to fight DHT.

  • Incorrect. You need to read the 510(k) from the FDA. Clinical Studies were MANDATORY for the laser. You don't need a 510k for safety clearance--that is a CDRH label--based on the output power of the laser. If you are going to claim 'hair growth' you need the clinical proof.

  • Dr, I listened to a debate between you and Dr Alan Feller. He said the FDA approval was not for eficiency by just safety of use. Otherwise FDA would approved laser itself as therapy, and not just the Hairmax. And Hairmax it's low power, and so uselless. Laser only increase metabolism a little and reduce inflamation, but have no effect on DHT.

  • so was the light comb the 2nd best thing?

  • propecia is poison it will make you impotent.

  • Only 1% to 2% keep the symptons of reduced potence.

  • Side-effect with propecia are rare, less than 3 out of 1000 patients long-term (5-yrs).

  • Can ANYONE inform me on this. I took the pill once and felt slight pains and aches in my groin area, testicle mainly. I stopped after that one pill, because I thought if it got like this after one pill, imagine what it would be like after a couple of months. But I think that perhaps what I experienced was normal, and what happens to everyone when they take the drug. Was what I experienced a sign that I shoud stay away from the drug, or was it normal? This goes out to anyone.

  • pill u mean propecia?

i guess u better consult with the doctor,

for me, noting pain or illness!

on the info and instructions, seems, didnt mentioned about side effect about pains!

  • I agree. Nioxin I heard, will definitely help keep the hair.

  • The right haircare products are important--especially if you have thinning hair. However, Nioxin does not contain any fda-approved ingredient that slows, stops or reverses hereditary hair loss. Stick with the proven medical treatments if you're looking to keep the hair you have. Hair follicles (the organs in your skin that grow the hairshafts) ARE NOT affected by shampoo.

  • Actually, there's no fda-approved ingredient in nioxin. The only thing you'll notice a difference in is your wallet.

  • they are all bald bitches.Nothing worked.Even

the guy with the transplant looked wierd!!!!!!

  • im freakin out im 19 and all my shit is thinning out...on minoxidil now....got my fingers crossed

  • Also is there any dis advanatages of using the cheaper brand of propecia that canada drugs sells?

  • What about scalp med, ever heard any good or bad from that?

Based from the video, and based off of all the comments and other web stuff, I am going to start using propecia, and I guess use this scalp med a chance as well. CAN'T HURT

  • Doosierty... Male Pattern Baldness is caused by DHT... not lack of blood flow

  • Precisely. Perhaps it won't affect you in the same way but for me, my hair is not worth an absent sex life. I am currently researching the effects of alcohol specifically red wine, to slow or stop balding. Hair falls out because of no blood feeding to the root. Wines help clear the arteries and thin the blood. I am looking to see if this can help that area. I noticed all the men in my family that drink alcoholic beverages regularly have much more hair up top.

  • you might be onto something dude. Keep at it.

    Peace

  • I am 30 years old and have been losing hair for 6-7 years now even though I can hide it in a photograph. I have hereditary problem of high cholesterol and triglycerides. I have started drinking red wine and also take cholesterol lowering tablets. I am also wondering if blocked arteries have anything to do with hair loss. Please let me know about your research.

  • I will be sure to. Same to you and good luck with your regime.

  • There is a correlation between coronary artery disease and significant hereditary male pattern hair loss. If you have one, you are likely to have the other.

  • Actually, sexual side effects are very rare on Propecia--less than 2%. There is no decreased blood flow in balding scalp, trust me!

  • Hereditary hair loss has nothing to do with blood flow. Trust me, if you cut the scalp, it will bleed--significantly.

  • How much money is propecia for what ammount of time? As in what is the price and how long does it last you? I am 20 and I have a receding hairline, it sucks... I am thinking about getting a transplant and maintaining through propecia. Can propecia help grow back any hair to a receding hairline? What do you think about a hair transplant for a twenty year old if he is in stage 3 or maybe 2.5 of the male hairloss pattern? Furthermore do hair transplants actually look good in the end?

  • U have 2 get a prescription from ur doctor and it cost about $70-75 4 a month worth. Doctors and the makers of Propecia say it works best for the middle of the head and not the hairline.

  • Propecia or finasteride works 90% of the time. The studies show that 90% of men on propecia for five years look the SAME or BETTER than when they started. Without propecia, you've got a 75% chance of looking MUCH WORSE after 5 years. Do not delay.

  • don't do it dude, wait and see what happens with this biogenic discovery. be well and good luck

  • well said
