  • You are known to some in America, Derren. And we are glad for it! =)

  • @3:57 look at the bottom right on the pillar. You can see a face made by the tree.

  • wrong you are known in america lol

    washington state precisely

  • @rockstarcola100 Amen. Christians should not accept prophets and healers at face value- we need to ground our faith in reason, in logic, in science- and the Word. We should ask questions and look for the answers. Derren brown does the world an amazing service by throwing humanity's darkest and most uncomfortable truths out there for everyone to see- of religion, of politics, of society, of everyone. Because everyone and everything has a dark side, and things we need to overcome.

  • if he went to a conservative evangelical like John MacArthur he would be out on his ear. can't fool that guy

  • Amazing show, truly a unique figure in the world. Completely unrelated question, is the Sedona in arizona he goes to the same from the aerosmith's "sedona sunrise"?

  • could you transcribe this? I have a friend who is deaf I really want to show this to.

  • @kevincease why can't you?

  • Not as good as the stuff in the Mindreading Exposed ebook

  • I dont believe. I know. Or I dont know. I know like all animals I will expire. My biology will shut down. Its going to hurt worse than anything. I will be scared. So will end my one and only like. I will move from memory maker to just a memory. 1 life..ill try not to live it like a craven coward religicoward.

  • "I never forgiven anyone for anything in my life." I hope he's joking.

  • @rockstarcola100 And exposes that Christianity is a fraud. (:

  • As a Christian, a pastor, involved in academic publishing for years, I love this guy. I think he debunks the worst parts of religion, making the very best that remains more clear. God is glorified and honored when people point out the lies and foolishness wrongly associated with him. Good job, Derren.

  • Before watching the next video, I think I may have figured out his trick in the last segment. When suggesting that the woman should "step into" whatever picture she might draw he is making a rather subtle suggestion that what she draws should be a scene, possibly a house.

  • Thumbs up if you're here because The Thinking Atheist favorited it.

  • @SlyFoxxxxx We're here cause Derren Brown is unbelievably amazing. Who the hell is The Thinking Atheist?

  • @pkang27 youtube dot com /profile?user=TheThinkingAtheist

  • 4:48 Deanna Troi

  • "My motto is if someone comes and asks me to do something that means I can do it, whether I've ever done it or not". The breathtaking arrogance and self-centredness of this world view makes me want to puke. On the other hand I would like to test this hypothesis by asking her to use her psychic powers to learn to speak fluent Japanese within 10 minutes.

  • Derren brown should have a show in the US. It would be better than watching it all on youtube ; )

  • They say homosexuals don't recruit straight people, but I used to be straight until I started watching Derren Brown... did he hypnotize me into falling in love?

  • @GeorgiaTheJungle why does everyone feel the need to comment on Derren's sexual orientation? I just don't get it?? If he screws hermaphrodites, how does it have anything to do with his abilities to perform magic, cold read or expose fakes? Not to pick on you - its just I've seen hundreds of posts about him being gay. Who cares??? How does it matter???

  • @xrisku probably because he's so amazing he brings out teh gay in the all of us. He probably could hypnotize someone into being gay, that would be a good episode. He hypnotizes people into believing in God FFS it's probably not too hard. Honestly straight humanity just needs to come out of the closet with their love for gay people. Get it out there you know, get used to it. It's been suppressed for so long, it's now the cool thing to like gay people which wasn't how it was when I grew up.

  • @xrisku Plus straight guys are always worried about gay guys hitting on them, now they have to worry about gay people with elite mentalist powers hitting on them

  • at first he had said he never forgive anyone in life???

    did i hear it wrong?

  • 5:08 lol at her motto could of just said "if someone wants me to do something, i have to otherwise they wont pay me or think im legit.. regardless of if i can or not"

  • I just discovered Derren Brown a few days ago and I am completely enthralled. This man is my hero.

  • derren brown should do a show about near death experiences and why people have those. i would love to see that.

  • Fucking shit. Hit the dislike button by mistake. Like this video to compensate my mistake.

  • @TheStrangerInTheRye i know it sucks when you accidentally dislike something and can't change it lol

  • @TheStrangerInTheRye @TheStrangerInTheRye If you hit dislike again it removes your 'vote', alternatively just select the other option and it'll register that instead. ;)

  • i love derren brown he so 7 imba .. GOD LIKE hahaha im a freakkin troll but seriously he provides a very different taste to entertainment . entertainment that makes u think which is few in numbers

    HADOKEN!!!!!!!

  • Hey ass-clowns. The religion debate is getting real old. Just enjoy the video and shut the fuck up.

  • @HecklerBoy7 as long as religions affect how people act , it wil never get "old". If religions were things that were only in the minds of individuals, they'd be fine. But they aren't, people do crazy stuff because of their beliefs, and try to push their beliefs on others too. That's why one should mock idiotic religious beliefs every time they are brought up. but it is a great video, I do agree :)

  • @Minkki82 Everyone will try to push their beliefs on others. Atheists on religionists and vice versa. Dawkins is trying to tell me that I'm a worthless lump of goo. Fuck him, I'm awesome. If he wants to think he's a worthless pile of goo, then all the best to him.

  • @HecklerBoy7 I don't think Atheists are a group that go around preaching from door to door or giving out pamphlets on how awesome atheism is. (like christians do), so I disagree with you. But pushing a belief and pointing out that a belief isn't backed up by evidence aren't the same thing. It's silly if you think they are. It's ike me believing people who rape children get to heaven, you disagreing, and then me saying you and I both preach, but just different sides of the argument.

  • @Minkki82 They may not go around door to door giving out pamphlets, but they do other things, like take over the net pretending to be Mensa members, while spewing their ridiculous and condescending hate -- which is pretty much getting OLD. Well, not all atheists, I'd say the "new" ones. I'm an atheist, -- well maybe agnostic -- I don't do that crap. If people want to believe in God, then let them. until you can show to a certainty that God doesn't exist, shut the fuck up.

  • @HecklerBoy7 no-one will ever be able to dissprove God. So by your logic lets not critisize any beliefs, all religions might be true. That's the sort of twisted political correctness we live in nowadays and it's evil IMO. Eg. kiling women because they were rapid (sharia law) is wrong and it doesn't matter that I can't disprove God, I'll still always say its wrong, you are free to think of it as maybe being right though.

  • @Minkki82 I didn't say disprove God, I said "show to a certainty", so Bertrand's teacup analogy doesn't play here. And would you stop it with the epic extrapolations. We should criticize things that would obviously make society worst off. It isn't clear to me that religion in general does that. Sure you can think of any cult you like and go from there. Using the worst parts to define the whole seems to be your thing. You could at least refrain from overtly using strawmen.

  • @HecklerBoy7 But I don't get it , why are some "worst parts" obviously wrong and not the word of god, but rather can be under your critique, yet other parts of religion should not be criticized, but rather people should "shut the fuck up" as you put it because we can't"show to a certainty" that they arent true? who are you to decide, what parts are good and bad, true or untrue? I think if people have false beliefs and they don't keep them to themselves, you should call them out on them.

  • @Minkki82 Killing your child coz she was raped is obviously wrong. Believing that Jesus loves you sounds ridiculous, but all well and fine. What do you mean you "don't get it"? We should criticize what makes society worst off. Christmas and Hanakas and what have you, don't seem to fall in that category. Not saying I'm the one who should decide, what the fuck are you talking about? Sure, people will have "false beliefs" to you if they don't harmonize with your own. So who's pushing his belief?

  • @HecklerBoy7 the person that proclames something without evidence is pushing their belief.Answering with "you have no evidence" isn't pushing a belief.

But using you're logic, why is it obviously wrong to kill? You can't prove there isn't a God and you can't prove he doesn't want you to do that. So how can you prove it is obviously wrong? Also you're pretty naive to think that religous beliefs don't influence the actions of people and thus society and in a negative way often I might add.

  • @Minkki82 You do know that religious claims, the fundamental ones at least, aren't the type that you can have evidence for right? Saying, it cannot be proven, and therefore it doesn't exist, or saying life is objectively meaningless is another claim that Dawkins likes to push around. Isn't that pushing beliefs too? I know religious beliefs do influence actions, and I've been witness to a lot of good actions it can do since I was an orphan. You're naive to think Dawkins view doesn't influence too

  • @Minkki82 It is obviously wrong to kill (for some reasons) because, in Sam Harris's words, it does the opposite of maximizing well-being. Going to Christmases and believing Jesus loves you, doesn't seem to be doing the same thing. You still aren't getting this? How can YOU prove that anything is objectively wrong, since, for you, we are all just matter in motion?

  • @HecklerBoy7 Ok so I guess your point is beliefs that have no evidence behind them needn't be questioned unless someone is harmed because of said belief. I don't think actions can be said to be objectively right or wrong, people give the meaning to actions. It's easy to see eg. with different countries having different laws. I understand Christmas is ok, yet I'm pretty sure the world would be a better place without religion.IMO its harmful to teach people to believe in stuff without evidence

  • @Minkki82 No it isn't that hard to see, since well-being is measurable. Read Sam Harris's book. And my point is: I'm fucking tired of 2 things. 1, people telling me God loves me. And 2, 14 yr olds who pretend to be members of mensa, calling themselves "scientists", parroting old rehashed and philosophically bankrupt atheist arguments, while thinking they've got everything figured out. It's been fucking done to death.

  • @HecklerBoy7 like banning stem cell research/ abortion, banning contraceptives in say Africa, making kids feel tremendously guilty about sex, making them very afraid about hell and about other people going there.. Wasting time praying, believing it will work and not going to a doctor. Heck people voted against the EU because they thought it was something from the book of revelations. The affects of religious beliefs have historically been and are evil, regardless of some good aspects of religion

  • @Minkki82 I AM against abortion. And I think kids SHOULD be guilty about sex, lest they be fucking around, having babies and leaving them babies in the dumpster like my parents did to me. Sure, Hell is a nice thing, I wouldn't know what to say to Stallin if Hell didn't exist. Look, it's not as if believing that life is objectively meaningless we are goo, and there is no justice in the end will leave people all Kumbaya with each other. You're naive to believe this.

  • THANKS FOR UPLOADING! :D YAY!

  • @luyben12- '' no man has the capability of "challenging my faith" If that's true then you also don't have the capability to reason with rationality either.

  • @luyben12- So are you mad because he challenges your faith? Or what?

  • @luyben12- ''they completely understand people like Derren Brown exist. They even understand that mant people will be led away because of him....Nothin new''

What the hell are you talking about!!? He's not trying to ''lead people away''! He's trying to get them, to NOTICE there OWN IGNORANCE!! And NOTHING more! And if he had such knowlege of doing that then I would be surprised.

  • We all do talk to the dead, some even visit and get visited by dead that's why we do visit their graves and talk to them or just by an intensive thinking about them might end in meeting them as in a dream telling us about things. But whatever we do reach for we won't be able to bring them back to life as Jesus Christ had had been by "GOD"'s welling which was also been stated in his last Holy Book Quran or cure the blinds and deaf.

  • people believed that the world was flat for years. I MEAN YEARS!! so there has to be some truth in it, right? right? right...?

  • All I can say Christainy has exist for years! I MEAN YEARS there is got to be some turth in it. I mean why wouldn't it last this long. Think about it. And how about the people who can sense spirits, I mean my sister can and dad they no lie to me why would they? see explain that?

  • @ZandiDolly Christianity spread through milenia of conquest and colonization. People's beliefs create their reality- if someone believes they can see spirits, they will see (hallucinate) them. Derren 'converted' them mainly through the use of anchors and embedded commands. Many preachers have the same skills. I am a Christian, but even I have to be skeptical and operate with a sense of questioning, unless I want some greedy pastor to empty my bank account or a nasty pedophile to harm my kid.

  • @ZandiDolly No offense..so many Christians that never question anything. Their pastor/minister, etc. commit crimes and get away with it, cause no one questions. There is a lot of deception and fraud in Christianity- from the $1,000 prosperity seed that poor people must pay to get out of debt, to the ones that condemn homosexuality while having gay affairs themselves, to making their followers feel powerless, seeing demons everywhere that only the pastor can get rid of- for a price of course.

  • @ZandiDolly

There are still people in this world that worship Odin. He is way older than Christianity, there must be some truth to it.

  • @invisiblebears Racism is also really old. And still surviving.

  • What Brown is doing is called "The Power of Suggestion".

  • i think the trick is on yall

  • Derren Brown could get a job doing whatever he wants.

  • @Jayoung1000 I think he's already got one?

  • He won me at "Aura of smugness"

  • All I can say about these people on here are that they are all nut jobs!!! But I like how Derren Brown is fooling them all.

  • OMG Derren Playing God?!?!

  • Regardless of the location in the world, there is an excessively large percentage of gullible people. This is why world governments find it so easy to control the population even when faced with cold hard facts to the contrary. I have criticized my fellow Americans incessantly concerning this. This is the reason real change in our corrupt governments cannot happen. People's beliefs are often not their own; rather they are what they have been brainwashed to believe. Derren is a master at this

  • He chooses the people that are not close to being real anyway. Choose a real spiritualist and they would know before hand what he's up to. Instead he meets with people that are not very credible and are just commercialised.

  • wow, your funny. are you a comedian?

  • If Derren Brown went back in time, everyone would definitely think he's a god.

  • @YuneShik True. But also, if Derren Brown were as morally bankrupt as religious and "spiritual" leaders are, people living *today* would think he was a god.

I'm pretty sure the only thing that keeps him from being followed around by the deluded and gullible is his own strident insistence that he's *not* psychic. Imagine the immense power and wealth this guy could attain if he wasn't a moral human being?

  • @YuneShik Forget time travel, I think he's a god right now!

  • @YuneShik well seeing as he can time travel, that does seem quite reasonable

  • @YuneShik that had real sorcerers & witches back during the dark ages, so during that time, he would have been just a mediocre gay mentalist.

  • @YuneShik he is an illusionist and he studies the mind and how it works. NONE of his illusions are magic and he doesn't claim to be magic, but he can mess with your head and make you do pretty much anything he wants, he knows the relationship between conscious and unconscious thoughts and can manipulate it. basically he likes to fuck with peoples heads, and its funny.

  • @PegasusUKNZ yes i know all of that lmao. i've studied lots of works of hypnosis and psychology.

  • @YuneShik if derren brown went back in time they might have burnt him as a witch

  • @punkvictim he would last a week.. eventually he would be captured and burnt at the stake like a witch.

  • @YuneShik : Hahahaha! For real. At the same time, just about any person that were to travel through time would possess knowledge that would make them seem godly.

  • @YuneShik He already will/did go back in time... and was then crucified by the dinosaurs.

Of coarse they also mistook him for a velociraptor...

He is now known as Raptor Jesus.

  • this collection of videos is really amazing. love it. showed how ignorant people are. ready to believe any unsupported thing that is presented to them. did anyone else notice he came to america to film it? maybe because we are such a backward, religious society?

    keep ones like these coming.

  • The psychics of Sedora are the real deal. Every year they predict the Kansas City Royals will suck. Who else can do that, pray tell?

  • @SamonMarquis you dont really have to be a psyhick to do that XD

  • @SamonMarquis hahahahaha.hahahahah.hahahaha

  • @SamonMarquis Everyone who has seen the Royals play.

  • @SamonMarquis a... um... five year old? naah.

  • "I've never forgiven anyone for anything in my life."

    LOL

  • illuminati indoctrination. There are parts of truths, like there are different sistems of bealif that are fake...if you liked this video and belive this, i recomend all of you to watch "Illuminati bloodlines and mind control" with fritz spingmeier...

  • and there are millions of people that are in the same situation as me, SO PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE THAT THAT ALL RELIGIONS ARE SCAMS OUT THERE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.

  • I am a Christian (protestant) and my religion doesn't have a negative influence on my life at all.I go to church for FREE and no one is pressuring me to give money or to buy stuff, no one will treat you different if you don't give money. They will lovingly receive you wither your black, brown, white, etc and you can stay as long as you want the money that is given is just for maintenance costs and the rest of the money is given to charity. They will also show step by step were the money is going

  • @sitecomable

"I am a Christian (protestant) and my religion doesn't have a negative influence on my life at all."

It makes you believe weird, unsubstantiated claims from a bronze-age book filled with fairy tales. If that isn't negative, I don't know what is.

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer ''It makes you believe weird, unsubstantiated claims from a bronze-age book filled with fairy tales'' believing in what you call ''fairy tales'' doesn't change my everyday life. It doesn't affect my waking up, eating, associating with people, going to bed, simple doing what i do.

  • @sitecomable

"believing in what you call fairy tales doesn't change my everyday life."

Well, around me it would, since I prefer people around me to be more grounded in reality.

  • @sitecomable If your system of beliefs doesn't affect how you live your life, then why do you have it at all? It is, as you've defined it, trivial and inconsequential, and so not worth having.

  • @guysmiley00 it doesn't have a negative affect on my life.

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer not negatively at least.

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer Unsubstantiated? Read the skeptics book Jesus, The Evidence by Ian Wilson. Bronze Age? If there is meaning to life the time frame doesn't matter. Fairy Tales? You've begged the question. Negative? If you hold all previous points. So, yes, if I grant you your process I'll come to your outcome.

  • @Ransomonious

    "Unsubstantiated?"

Why, do you have evidence for the existence of your god? Why should I believe you rather than the Hindus or the Muslims?

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer Excellent question. Consider this, there is no other religion that has such a stunning array of fulfilled prophecy. See Isaiah 53, or Psalms 22, written 400 years before Christ.

  • @Ransomonious

"there is no other religion that has such a stunning array of fulfilled prophecy."

Curiously, adherents of other religions say precisely the same thing about their own prophecies. Of course, all of them are wrong, since prophecies tend to be either very vague, simply unfulfilled or self-fulfilled.

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer Fair enough. On my end of things I'll name Isaiah chapter 53 and Psalms 22 for starters. For your end of things I'll ask what other religions have fulfilled prophecy and what were the prophecies?

  • This just shows us that derren brown is good at manipulating people, it doesn't prove that these religions are fake. Just because there are a lot of religion scams does not mean that there aren't people with these religions that truly have your best interest at heart and aren't scamming you for your money.

  • Derren Brown is spooky...

  • you can't convert people to Christianity with a touch.......that's just foolishness...if you read your Bible it takes more than that

  • @AdamChick08

Of course it is possible. He's just done it right in from of you.

  • Ahh, industries of fraud. Imagine how much more could be done with the money they bilk from the gullible if it were redirected into productive industries for the advancement science, technology, and industry.

  • No stooges are used? Larry, Mo, and Curly are gonna be PISSED!

  • derren brown is a GOD

  • how did he justify the filming???

  • Good god - FOUR MILLION morons - how depressing

  • Oh...gods! There is a city in America that is like that? I feel disgusted T_T

  • This is awesome

  • Wiiiiiittttcccchhhh!!!! Burn Him!

  • Incredible. Thanks for sharing.

  • The same technics he uses could be used to convert people to atheism. As an honest atheist I hope that will never happen.

  • @Drakon222 lol, for a sec there I thought you were going to encourage their use for that purpose. But you are right, the best way to open eyes is to open discussions and open books. There are many atheists out there who deconverted from a religion after reading their own religious text!

  • @Drakon222 Good comment! I wish more atheists were like you instead of shoving their views in my face.

  • @StickItUpYrBumGugle It depends what you mean by "shoving views in someone's face", if it's a rational, factual conversation - I'm definitely for it. Still I think that most religious people would end it quick because there is a lot you could say against the authenticity of religion. Yet still, if you persist on believing it, that's your choice and I shouldn't get too emotional about it.

  • @Drakon222 Oh dear, I was wrong.

  • @StickItUpYrBumGugle You were wrong? You see? I deconverted you in a peaceful manner. Just kidding. :D

  • why would this be staged? people do this all the time they claim to be the messiah and hundreds of people believe them and follow them without questioning anything

  • Amazing Skills !!

Mind control at its best !!

  • I cant immagine Derren doing boring staged stuff...hes an illusionist, and illudes his prey, not his audience - i hope so at least ^^

  • "this whole thing was staged ..." - Yup, some people say that. But then they have always said that about all of his so called staged shows, even when they haven't been staged ;-)

  • Have you ever met any of these "true believers"? They desperately want to believe, so they believe everything. Give me a half an hour with one them, and even i can make him convinced that i am psychic.

  • Nice try, random religious idiot.

  • messiah? really?

  • Please, can anyone tell me something? It's important. In the first minutes he talkes about alien abduction, and there was an image of a grey, but cartoonish, thank god (I.. cant look at them). So, before I watch this, can anyone tell me if there are gOing to be more image of aliens and Greys?

  • @ pokemew

Not in the first three parts anyway. That's a rather weird phobia you have there, I hope you get over it soon.

  • @ pokemew again:

There is one bookcover near the end of part 5 and beginning of part 6. That's it.

  • ohh ok ok! Thank you! :D

and yeah, it is a weird damn phobia...

    anyway, thanks again! :D

  • Read "the will to power" by Nietzsche.

  • maybe you should read some wiki about physics.

  • Is it fun to just make random bullshit up from nowhere with no evidence at all and total evidence to the contrary?

  • All his videos prove is that there must be an outside objective source for our beliefs. Experience alone is not enough. If there are 5 theories about gravity and only one is true, do the other 4 beliefs weaken gravity or change the truth about it?

  • Would you buy it al if the bible was called the George Bush Bible? King james bible. Think about it.

  • I'd organize bonfire parties to burn em' if they were named after that piece of trash...

  • @ent257 The Bible wasn't written by King James. He merely was instrumental in appointing theologians to translate it into the vernacular. It's seen as a standard in English literature because it's probably the most accurate English translation compared side by side with the original biblical documents.

  • idiot.

  • I agree with that, too.

  • @iwin4u2

Of course there are ministers. The word that they spread, though, is quite false (in my opinion).

  • this helped turn me to an atheist

  • you were a catholic correct.

  • No non denomination/ chreistianity baptist apostolic background. I gave up pastoring and faced reality.

  • Welcome to reality, comrade.

  • Me too. :)

  • Congratulations. Life is too beautiful to ignore reality.

  • @XSILENTS Well thats not great did you know that if you think in your mind about all the 8 religions all have different gods how did you know that which god is the real??

  • @Wwebeni This is the right question. There is only two religions with prophecy that have come to pass: Christianity, with a TON of prophecy substantiated as predicting Christ 400 years before Christ. And, Thailand Buddhism, which has documents recording Buddha predicting the coming of Christ. Perhaps that is just one small answer?

  • @XSILENTS Magic is nothing more than invisible demons doing things for their puppets to spread their doctrine, this is obviously an Illuminati show, even the blatant eye symbolism.

  • @XSILENTS why?

  • How do I get this video in HD. When I found the video HD was not posted as an option.

  • @XSILENTS me too

  • It's not about God in the sky it's about God in you from a universal point. Read {discover the power in you } Eric Butterworth it will chang your life and prespective on religion. The book is logical and genius.

  • @XSILENTS well that doesn't show much for your self reasoning or intelligence

  • 4:49

She uses her beauty to hypnotize people.

  • lol he makes them look stupid just by asking them their motives and such

  • Derren Brown is an evil genius.

  • Why couldn't these have been split up into 10min segments?

  • Who knows...

  • i would like to see you try that.

  • Point me to someone who actually has these powers. I want James Randy's million dollar prize.

  • at 2:33 that is red rock canyon

  • Struck by lightning!! ?? Gotta love Derren - thats a good one!

  • Oh boy, this looks good! Can't wait to watch it! Thanks for posting.

  • this proves American's are gullible

they fell for the Iraq war just like that
