I can understand being scared to jump off a platform suspended hundreds of feet in the air. Even though your brain tells you that a bungee cord is attached to your ankles all of your instincts tell you not to jump. Same with skydiving. Hurtling yourself into space is a scary thing to do even with a parachute attached to your back.

Hands down the best advice for surviving the Nevis is to NOT look down before you jump. Look straight and JUST JUMP. Don't think about it!

You will shit your pants once you're falling and realize what you've done, but at that point it doesn't really matter, does it? :P
