v1. And they fixed it via a firmware and dashboard software update, so it's okay now.

Have you tried contacting their tech support? What about a message forum of other users?
I'm hoping they will have a patch or fix for this. I've been contemplating one of these but not sure right now if I want to be a beta tester as I've been burnt in the past with new products. Thanks for the video and let us know if you find out anything more.

I've been in touch with their support all along. I haven't been frequenting the forums due to lack of time. The space issue is actually fixed by the current firmware. It seems my Drobo Dashboard wasn't notifying me of new versions of the firmware, and that's why I still had issues.
