  • I'm assuming you must re-zero the rifle after you detach the optic from the side rail, correct?

  • @charlesaferg In theory you should re-zero any optic after it is moved or something had been changed on the rifle that could affect accuracy. Certain optic mounts out there claim no need to re-zero like some of the Larue ones. For this particular optic I'm not too worried about re-zeroing as much as I would be for say a 10x scope on a more precise bolt gun for example. For a red dot under 100 yards in an AK platform the zero is close enough for government work. Never hurts to re-zero though.

  • I need this KOBRA sight! where can I get em? Want to buy one now. Great vid

  • Very nice Kobra sight. I want two now.......

    Thumbs up

  • that first 100m group is sooo tight lol

  • SHIT! thats better than I can do at 100 Yards with a 25x power scope and a match 24" match barrel!

  • @JimmyGunXD556 Well the bench rest helped at least.

  • Vey nice groupings. AK74 is likely next on my list. I remember when you bought that SGL (think it was an Arsenal anyway).. How you liking it all these months later?

  • @noBuzzkillin I really don't have other AK's to compare it too, other than a Romanian "G" AK47. So far I have to say if Kalishnikov made love to an AR the babies might look like the SGL series. I haven't handled an AK in a decade and back then I believe it was a Norinco. So far I'm very impressed with the fit and finish as well as the function. I couldn't believe the first group I shot at 100 meters and kicked myself for not having videoed it even if it was from the bench.

  • @black1705f I don't know if you remember, but I did a conversion on my Saiga and have been shooting it for a couple of years now. Truly outstanding rifle. They've started allowing Arsenal's into Kalifornia now, and my dealer has one in stock, so I've been having a mental battle with the rifle for a couple of weeks now.. I think its winning. I'd really like to compare between the Arsenal and my hack job. Its also a 74, and I think i'd prefer that caliber over the 7.62x39.. Thanks for the vid.

  • @noBuzzkillin I live in cali and just bought and picked up my arsenal 5.45 couple days ago. I too have a 7.62 saiga, and i was thinking baout converting a 5.45, but arsneal just does a way better job. Btw, does your deler have those nudered arsenals like the sgl-31 with a permanent raddlock? Because i got mine with that raddlock your screw on. Think i got really lucky with that.

  • Nice shooting motard. I miss shooting. It's just too God damn humid here to do anything.

  • @bisquik3006 Well, put your SPF 100 on and douse youself in water and get out there. I'm just glad it was shaded and there was a nice breeze blowing in.

  • @black1705f How about I got out in overalls, and nothing else, douse myself in Jim Beam, and just deal with it?

  • @bisquik3006 LOLZ...you're just trying to make yourself lickable. You saucy fiend you.

  • @black1705f I'm also stackable. What I need to do is get my Socom zeroed. I'll probably wait until fall, and actually do it when I'm sober. It's just about there now, but I have a shitty stock weld. I need to get a nice little leather cheek piece to eliminate that.

  • Excellent! Dude if that was a hadji or some banger he aint happy....

  • @SpencerAK74M I was happily surprised with the red dot. I think it performs as well as most American high end dots such as Aimpoint and Eotech. For practical purposes it seems the zero is repeatable enough to get the job done. Definitely an improvement in the bladed style sights which remind me of pistol sights more than anything.

  • @black1705f Well I have an Aimpoint M4 that I might mount to my 74.... Im debating.
