  • Yeah, that's definitely a tail strike.

  • oh yeah...minor tailstrike and collision light!

  • yup....tail strike...not good.

  • collision light, because it can also be seen at 0:15

  • Nice tags :)) ass and tits rofl

  • have airlines been know to continue with a flight after a tailstrike on takeoff rather than circle to land to save dumping fuel and costs.

  • 0:18 UFO !!!

  • people say a good landing is one you can walk away from... they should watch this

  • its jumping on the runwAYY :D

  • now the rear bulkhead is going to fail.

  • i not a pilot so i cant judge then but that was a pretty strange landing, and epic tags! hahahahaha

  • my GOD!

  • Newb pilot

  • lol at the video tags.

  • Cool shot...

  • Like when I filmed this I still think that it was not a Tail strike by a hair ... at 17 seconds is the strobe light.

  • That is not to say that the pilot was completely at fault here. There is a possibility that there was wind shear close to the runway, which would have caused the problems you see in the video. If that is the case, then the pilot did a fair enough job of handling the plane, with the exception of pitching up the airplane too much that close to the ground. That is a strict no-no with bigger aircrafts.

  • I'm a 747 pilot currently, and I like watching videos like these. Thought I'd comment on this one:

It seems like a very minor tail strike (if there was even one). The problem that I would conclude to seems to arise from the landing speed being a bit too high. That's why there's an initial bounce during the first touchdown. Because the spoilers deploy when the plane is in mid-bounce, the sink rate goes up, and the pilot made a classic mistake of pitching up too much too close to the ground.

  • Awful bit of crosswind

  • Yep...that was a bad landing, lol

  • I didnt know that trukeys can fly

  • Yeah at 0:17 it was the tail strobe light all airbuses, have the tail strobes, except the A300's i think

  • @patton303 0:17 was the strobe lights near the APU

  • no tail strike here

  • What an awful landing. For some of those people that will have been horrifying.

  • @DannyEddy94 Nah, im not saying this is a good landing, it is a dangerous and bad one. But ive experienced bounce landings and it actually feels like a roller coaster, and when ur that close to ground most people are soothed just by the thought to be, well on the ground ;)

  • @zaphr89 95% of aircraft accidents occur during takeoff & landing. Fact. I would have been terrified!

  • @DannyEddy94 Who says i disagree, i was just talking about human emotions, it is far more scary to have turbulence in the climb after takeoff than when already on the ground.

  • The tail didn't even touch the ground

  • That was very close.. This probably happened because when you land the airplane at a certain angle and then when deploying the speedbrakes it will significantly pitch up because of the speedbrakes that come up.. And if you don't push the control collum immediately you will most certainly have a tailstrike..

  • No tailstrike. If it was a tailstrike, sparks would have been flying out

  • Tunisair is the worst airline which exists

  • he maighas well land on the wing

  • What the hell?!? Uh sir we are landing now. Captain "I'm awake"

  • at least the flair was impressive? saves on the fuel needed for a reverse thrust :p

  • what blowjobs cause a pilot to do !!

  • he probably got fucking sand in his eyes

  • nice wheelie lol

  • poor amateurs pilots

  • You can't say that for sure. Everyone makes bad landings from time to time.

  • no tail strike but really close

  • Comment removed

  • Need some skin men on call? Were are these fellas flying?

  • Close Tailstrike! A little closer to the ground and the tail would have set up in flames.

  • nearly crash

  • Nope no tailstrike...close though, really close...there tend to be sparks if there's a tailstrike.

  • no problem gays it can happen to any one not only arabs then tunisair has never got a plane accident in its aviation history but you yes fuck !!!

  • shitty landing but no tailstrike - it was close though

  • I thought arabs only fly and never land. lol

  • humour fail

  • the problem is too much landing speed which caused the aircraft to refly with the normal flare which leaded the pilot to act nervously by overflaring to lower the speed, an overflare that led to tail strike.

  • too much flare and a bit to high

  • Can you imagine how bad one of those Arab birds must stink?... Fuck.

  • nah

not all arabic pilots like this there better

    byeeeeee

  • thats why on jumbo jets they always sit fat people at the top and at the front lol

  • Arabs,wut do you excpect?

  • I hope that plane was grounded for inspection, then I saw the Tunisair on the side and new it would continue to fly.

  • That plane landing ass first. It was getting low.

  • Anti-collision light :)

  • oops .....its back to flight school!

  • that is why ryanair doesnt let people sit at very back .. because a fat man will cause a tail strike (i h8 ryan air)

  • astie de pilote attardé.......a part pour endormir nos quebequoises les tunisiens c des estie de pas bon!!!

  • it would have been a tailstrike if the fat guy didn't run to the front of the plane lol

  • best pilots on tunisair? you nuts or what?

  • left nooo, right noooo, left noooooooooooooo, right... ahhh it stopped XD

  • Well they still have the best Pilots in the World. I don't know how, but they are...

  • wah...the pilot ah....

  • doesnt look like a tailstrike to me?

  • People you were lucky... think about the fat dude was sitting in front row...

  • Its probably because some fat dude was sitting in the back of the plane

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! AWSOME MAN, made my day!

  • or 15 -.-

  • actaully im not my football jersey have the number 93 and i play defensive lineman

and 93 is my lucky number -.-

  • @funkychicken93 ha ha ha now that was funny!

  • @funkychicken93 lmao!

  • The light at :18 is neither the APU or Anti Collision. APU will not be started until after touchdown.

The light is infact one of the Strobe lights.

  • Omg he flared to much big deal all novice pilots do during there training just calm down everywon its not the worst landing i have seen

  • a tailstrike is a big deal and I never did that

  • OMG tht was like me on the A320, I've not got the knack of it So I flare too much and I end up 200 feet in the air by the time I put the speed brake on and then I stall it.

  • OMG!!!!Never seen this before...had anarrow escape...

  • bad at flare, the descent rate should have been high and the pilot pitched too high after the touchdown. This happens which novice pilots transitioning to larger jets as they cut the throttle to idle instead of gradually lowering it to have a smooth touchdown, pretty unlike props who have a lower throttle input response time than the jets. Slack the pilot!

  • That's why Airbus added the "RETARD" warning :D

  • wow, he kissed the runway with his ass, awesome !

  • oooppss..no burn is alwayz a gud thing

  • Great Approach, Great landing! except i reccomend landing on the right side of the runway (this isnt Great Britan)! And Nose landings are actually the best. Smooth and you get stopped quicker. I learned this in FSX.

  • how the hell did this turn into a 747 argument?....

  • Where the hell are you people getting 747 from?

Did I post something else by accident? lol.

This is a Tunisair Airbus A-320-211 #TS-IMM. Google this reg. number and you'll find out everything about it.

  • @patton303 00:07 "Airbus A320" painted right next the forward left emergency exit ^^

  • Ok Bloglegend thank for clearing that up for me, could you perhaps let me know if that means the flapperon to control the strong wind angle is no longer needed ?

If this is the case then I would like to revoke to offer to McExpertPants to come to my native village of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo to educate us on the much acclaimed severe landing pull back oscillation manouver !

  • Actually captainc150, what BlogLegend is failing to mention is that even with automatic pull back oscilators, flapperons must still be used to correct for the angled sidewinds that these airplanes often encounter. According to the airliner flying book for pilots: "the flapperons are an essential part of big plane flying. As applicable to the subpart pertaining to flapperon use, pilots are required to recieve biennial recurrent training on the use of flapperon and rudderon during landing."

  • BTW those last coments were derected at BlogLegend and McExpertPants... there both fucked.

  • Oops, Habs, you should learn how to spell before you call someone stupid, think what you were trying to say is "They're both fucked." And "directed" not "derected." It's hard for me to feel bad about myself from your comments, when you can't even spell. It's okay though 5th grade is pretty tough.

  • fanboy69 your are absolutely right however having the word boy and 69 in your call sign does beckon the question ?96Z28 if you look real close you can see a spark if you cant you are not close enough to your PC try it again.

McExpert I feel I could learn a lot from you, I wonder if you would mind coming to Africa to give me some training on the severe landing pull back oscillation this is something I feel we a lacking in our pilot education here in Africa.

  • Well, I must say, the landing pull back was the original subject of the discussion, and I feel that all this pointless bickering has led us astray. So anyways, the pilot of this 747 clearly knows what he's doing. The landing pullback was very well done, exactly as it is described by the airliner flying book for pilots. Kudos to the pilot, very good indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • I would be happy to teach you about pullbacks, by the way.

  • Captainc150 what you have to understand is the new Japanese design Airbus uses on this particular model of 747 comes with an automatic landing pullback system that's revolutionized the way we land large cargo jets like the one in the video, I think we're heading into an age where landing pull back oscillation training is becomming obsolete.

  • BlogLegend, you are what we real pilots call EFIS (Enviously Fucking Ignorant and Stupid) and marginally VFR (Very Fucking Rediculous). I'll bet you had negative contact with your uncles prohibited area as a kid. Why don't you resume own navigation back to your mamas vagina and re-enter at pilots discression you cock!?!

  • do you ust go around on youtube watch plane vids pretend to be a pilot and argue with everyone ??

  • Yeah, land on a bridge with full speed, then press 'P' for pause, or 'restart flight' works best for me.

    Learned that on FS2000.

Wonder why these Tunesian pilots didn't do that.

  • this 747 looks smaller?

  • I wonder how many soiled their pants? Probably should have started reverse thrusters on the flair. And keeping on the right side of the road is important as well.

  • is it just me? am i the only person that didnt see any sparks from the tailstrike. also, i'm not reading 2,000 comments before me, so what video are people talking about with a 747 in it? someone give me the cliffnotes of the discussion.

  • Oh man that was a rough one. Tail strikes always remind me of a story my Grand dad told me about when he was flying F-22's in WWII. Well, that's neither there nor here. My two cents about the video, the pilot clearly over controlled the 747 when he started to porpoise. Tragic, but it happens too often. Also, who's to say that the massive craft wasn't loaded tail heavy in the first place, shifting the CG to far aft. Whats up Expertpants.

  • thats not a boeing 747. at 0:06, beside the door on the right side it clearly says airbus

  • Uh oh, Retard Alert!!!! habs, if you look closely at the door at 0:06 it says "habs106 is a fucking douche that needs to learn when to shut his fucking hole." Will someone call the retard police and tell them to put habs' helmet on for him, empty his drool bucket and put him back in his retard cage before he makes another stupid comment.

  • another fuck head who doesnt no fuck all what the fuck there talking about. Why dont you just go back and suck your moms dick... it was the only thing you were good at

  • kingschool, you are absolutely right. Clearly the pilot overloaded this 747 in the back which caused a severe landing pull back oscilation. He CLEARLY should have used more flapperon to control the strong wind angle. Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about. By the way, habs106, you're a douchebag.

  • you probably dont even no what a douchebag is you fuckin cunt.. get a life.

  • Comment removed

  • F-22's in WWII? Oh brother.

Dude you made another seriously misinformed comment on one of my other vids too. Just go to Wikipedia and proof your shit. That way you won't look like an idiot and then get flamed to death.

Amyway, there were never any "F"designated aircraft until the USAAF turned into the USAF.

USAAF fighter planes in WWII had "P" designations such as P-51,P-38 etc.

    -peece

  • @patton303 euh why do you even bother...

  • @kingschoolsfanboy69 Haha, i think you are kidding because nobody can't be that retarded. F-22's in WWII? And that was certainly not a 747.

  • @zaphr89 of course theere were f22 in ww2 you fucking commie

this a330 didhave a tailhit and f22s were used in the second world war you sheep

  • @BrendanIsCool Lol, i did know that Irish cocksuckers were a rude bunch, but i didn't know they were idiots, guess i found that out :) GTFO retard..

  • @zaphr89 don't feed the trolls, newfag

  • @BrendanIsCool well this is a a320 so your wrong as well bell end

  • @djwilko7 again, don't feed the trololololololololol

  • that one inexperienced pilot

  • God I would have hated to be one of the people sitting at the back :S

  • BlogLedgend is a twat and knows nothing about planes - how is that a 747? And 747s are not 747 foot long

  • McExpertPants and 10171416,nice one fellas thanks for the backup, nice to know that these people know what they are talking about.

  • Okay, now let's move on.

  • never heard of a 150,000ft runway, the biggest runway in the world is at Edwards Air Force at (39,060 ft, 11,905 m) 2nd is Qamdo Bangda Airport located in Tibet,at 18,045 ft 3rd is Ramenskoye Airport at 17,726 ft.sure your not getting your calculations wrong,i think you have to admit defeat on this one BlogLegend .or are you just out to wind people up beacause you realise you were wrong all the time.

  • LMFAO!! Yeah, I think tintinjsy has you on this one BlogLegend. A 150,000 foot runway? I think not. Clearly Rahmensoak and Edwards are bigger tracks. BlogLegend, you are gayer than eight guys fucking nine guys.

  • edwards? that is only 15 000ft. area 51 is the longest at 23 270ft

  • you are correct,i stand corrected, however edwards runway was increased in length,in 2001 to be used as a emergency runway for the shuttle.but as you say Area 51,is the longest runway well spotted, you see BlogLegend even i can make a mistake that was pointed out to me,and at least ill admit to it.

  • Haha, I don't think 2001 feet is long enough for a 747 to takeoff. A Boeing 747 Airbus needs at least 25,000 feet of runway before the gear horn goes off and takeoff roll can take place. Anyone who's spent any amount of time in a plane would know that.

  • 25,000 ft is nearly 4 1/2 miles........the airport i fly out of has a runway that is 7,000 ft long and 767s, 757s and c-130s regularly fly our of there. i think 25,000 is a bit much

  • when you have come down from all the drugs you are taking obivously effecting your eye sight, did i say 2001 ft runway read it again BIRD BRAIN.!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont know about the Boeings 787 Dreamliner. It was built not to outmatched the biggest passenger plane everbuilt, the Airbus 380 other than for Fuel efficiency. If you are talking about the length at 787 feet. You are very wrong at that. Air Force One, The Presidents officials plane is a Boeing 747- 200 series.tintinjsy is very correct.

  • My RC PalmZ plane is 195 mm long.

  • BOEING 747 specs Wing Span 195 ft 8 in (59.6 m) Overall Length 231 ft 10.2 in (70.6 m)

    Tail Height 63 ft 5 in (19.3 m) Interior Cabin Width 20 ft (6.1 m)

  • AIRBUS A380 SPECS.Length 73m Height 24.1m Fuselage Diameter 7.14m Cabin Length 50.68m Maximum Cabin Width, Main Deck6.58m Maximum Cabin Width, Upper Deck5.92m Wheelbase 30.4m

  • and the Antonov AN-225.russian freighter is the biggest cargo plane in the world

  • tintinsjy, you are very welcome. I hope we send him packing.

  • The B747-series 200,300 0r 400s with wingtip are Boeings Exclusive Models. Not the European Airbus. Airbus does the A319,320,340,360 and the biggest and latest 380. This is 100 percent Airbus 320 nothingless.

  • 10171416 nice one thanks for backing me up!!

  • I'm a little late getting into the discussion here, but I want to backup tintinjsy and 10171416 here. BlogLegend, I really think you need to back down on this one. What tintinjsy has been trying to tell you all along is that the A380 is 50 meters long (which coincidentially works out to about seven hundred and fourty seven feet), which they did of course to compete with boeings larger 787. Seriously BlogLegend, get a life.

  • McExpertPants, doesn't sound like you know what you're talking about either. The A380 is NOT 380 feet long... I don't know why we're still arguing about this. These planes are friggin huge people! The 700+ footers such as the dreamliner were launched from 150,000 foot runways for testing when they first came out!!! ..... huge...

  • BlogLegend - I don't think anyone is sharp enough to know you're yanking their chain...

I mean, you ARE kidding, right?

  • Expertpants, you are an idiot.

50 meters is 164 feet, NOT 747 feet.

Where did you gain such extraordinary stupidity, anyway?

  • the wings are manufactured in filton near bristol uk and north wales, then container shipped to toulouse in france for assembly.they are even making a military airlift model called the A400M which will eventualy superseed the C130-HURCULES.there is no such thing as an AIRBUS 747 boeing 747`S are made in the U.S argument solved.

  • boeing make 747`S france make AIRBUS MODELS A319 A320 A330 AND THE LATEST IS THE A380 which is the new double decker aircraft which just recently came into service, which will eventualy superseed the ageing 747 which has been in service since the late 70`S,i know fells because i help manufacture the wings for AIRBUS in the uk,which are then assembled in france.

  • its an airbus a320. Airbus doesn't make 747's. Boeing has 747's with four engines. Google it

  • its a damn airbus a320

  • This can never be Boeing 747. The 747 is the one with the hump shaped dome. It can be 200,300 0r the latest 400 series. This can be Airbus 320 which is widely used by airliners . i hope Im correct.

  • No 10171416, The debate has been settled that this is a Remos Lycoming Tunisair Airbus 747... You have no fucking clue what you're talking about... "This can never be Boeing 747." That's wierd because it is a 747...

  • you are correct, the aircraft quickly had the nickname the jumbo jet, which has been flying commercialy since the 1970`s

  • go to google type airbus A320 PICS then boeing 747 PICS,and you will see which is which.

  • The reason why they call them 747's is because they're 747 feet long, are you trying to tell me that this plane isn't that big? What you have to realize is that 747's are huge, that's why they're called 747's.

  • 747 stands for the hull size of the aircraft not the length, the new BOEING 787 DREAMLINER which has just entered service as you would say in your arguement be 787ft long.THATS ON BIG MAMA OF A BIRD!!!!!!

  • Yeah!!! my point exactly, 787 feet long, don't ask me how they get them to fly.!!! I mean, I know a lot about aviation and avionics in general but some things just can't be explained...

  • the AIRBUS A380 HAS THE LONGEST LENGTH AT 250FT WITH A WINGSPAN OF 262FT i don`t know how you arrive at that figure or where you get your information from, its currently the biggest passenger aircraft in the world,i know i am involved in the manufacture of its wings in filton uk,also the fuel systems and under carriage.

  • Whoa! Guys! Let's get back to the discussion at hand here. It's no good taking shots at each other. BlogLegend, what tintinjsy is saying is that this is an airbus 747. I think you need to calm down and accept that you we're wrong. There's more than one 747 out there you know!

  • check the presure done in the ass befor this one blows out two

  • B*A*D landing :D

  • Yeah, what you guys have to realize is that, if you look closely at 17 seconds, the engine detonates like 3 times in a row causing a temporary increase in horsepower, probably by like 300, so that's why the plane was in a wierd angle on the tires from the added horsepower, this is actually a good pilot for being able to ground it after that.

  • cool

  • was there a dog barking in the backround

  • this is standard proceedure for tunisair pilots =D

thats how they brake by dragging the fuselage in the ground

  • HA, good one =]

  • id like to know how McExpertPants knows that this is the way to land that model of 747 when its an airbus a320 ?

  • I'd like to know why you think you know so much.

  • well because the description says its an

A320 and on the side of the plane is says A320 as well , its not knowing much its just observation

  • Hahaha, LMFAO!!! You obviously don't know anything about jets, airbus 320??? This IS a 747, i mean, look how fucking big it is!!!

  • LOL Pause the video at six seconds dickhead and tell me what is written on the right hand side of the door

  • Okay, I did..... it says TUNISAIR..... what are you trying to say?

  • ok now pause it again at six seconds and what is written on the right hand side of the door under the windows smartarse ?

  • Reply: Blog Legend

YOU dont know anything about jets, this is now a Boeing 747, its an Airbus A320, and pause at 0:06, and look under the windows, by the door on the front of the plane, it CLEARLY SAYS, AIRBUS A320, if you can rad, you would not have made such a stupid comment like that!

  • Yes, you just just said, "this is NOW a Boeing 747." That's what I'm saying... they accidently printed Airbus A320 on the side... It happens a lot more than you realize... it's a 747...

  • Okay, McExpertPants, you're right, but Galactic Genius also makes a good point about what it says by the door, it's actually a Tunisair Airbus 747... Okay, now we're all on the same page....

  • It appears that we're all pilot and air plain experts.

  • There's something on the tail to prevent tailstrike. And if tailstrike happens,it will balance the plane...Thats normal

  • Flame not light

  • If you look close enough you can see that he has a left break jam which cuases the plane to roatate on the up and down axis putting the plane in an irregular attitude. These are things you learn during your instrument license.

  • The pilot did a good job holding nose off. That is definately the way to land that model of 747. Although, in angled wind like that, he should have done a better job of keeping the starboard wing up. Very poor piloting skills.
