The statement "are you thinking this is the future?" come on man 2008, we are so far behind, should have been in flying cars, robot servants. Oil industry is slowing us down.
True man, we could have had free energy transmitted through the air back when Tesla lived, and robots and flying cars, but they tossed him and every other genius out of the game and now we're still blindly following our cruel corporatist dictators.
It's too bad really, that such people exist only to put a wall in front of humanity.
The reality is that there are so many people who do not live off of the land anymore. If u want to eat, have a house & car then all of us have to have jobs, if we don't have enough jobs then we scream to our Government to do something so since Roosevelt the government controls & the creating of jobs began so technology must be controlled & released at a rate to always keep the consumer buying. The dirtier our energy production the more jobs it creates, present society depends on it.
I recently discovered The Venus Project, a method to open up all technology & actually build an infrastructure based on no money. I need more time to study this as societies that tried having a public warehouse where u take things for free there were always people who took far more than they needed & many did not pull they're weight but became lazy & didn't work at all.
There may never be an answer to creating the perfect utopia
If the Venus Project took over & we all functioned with no currency at all then that means we cannot own any land. We would have to get the government to allow us that ranch land which could be taken away if it were not being properly utilized, I really don't like that idea but the technology side of the Venus Project I like
Indeed I always wondered why society didn't evolve from the money system to a better one. It seems today's economy type system is a great barrier that rewards those who can get massive amounts of people into paying them.
I don't like this kind of thing, the way it is now, if someone is doing good, someone else is definitely doing very bad.
I'll look into that project, it sounds interesting.
I never caught the communist era but it seemed interesting to me when I was younger because I couldn't understand what went wrong. It was a good idea, people work together, they get rewarded for the work/contribution they make to society, there is no real leader and no money so people could just evolve and develop in an utopian world. I understood later that it was because of human greed that any sort of communism cannot work. If one man gets in charge of such a fragile system then it's all over
I think the only way to get to a free world now is with free energy and robots to work for us while we can put emphasis on developement.
A simple view would be like this: Everyone has a strict minimum with which they can live a very good life without doing anything. People who decide to contribute with something get some sort of credit which they can use to acquire more than that minimum. But this credit shouldn't be the way money is today, it shouldn't be exaggerated.
