Steve Kekana and PJ Powers black and white singing a song together in apartheid South African ruffled some feathers in those days. But people still recognized good music and not stupidity.
@Wachenuka- was also looking for "Take your love"..couldn't find it - but there is a cover done by Loyiso and Nana Coyote- it's ok... but it ain't Steve Kekana :(!
takes me back to my lovely Botswana in 1997! I was doing standard 2. Little did I know that someday I would be homesick like this!!Remember it around December on RB1! Botswana I miss you so much. Can't wait for 2015 to get done with school and come back to you. I miss all the people back home, especially my mama.
Wow. As a pure bred South African, this song means so much to me. It is fantastic to see, in the original video, a black man taking a white woman's hand. Probably one of my favourite songs from the 80's.
parts of the lyric for Feel so Strong had be changed to enable radio airplay in 1983 South Africa. "Didn't know you loved me" had to be changed to "Didn't know you cared so much" versions mixed for local and overseas. Absolutely ridiculous! The song went on to be a big hit in South Africa, and was seen by many as a subliminal message of solidarity with the struggle.

PS: BionicCommander89 - where are my royalties...?
