@kenrg For some reason the pine tree commercial with Euell Gibbons and the Nair Short-Shorts commercial are the first two to pop into my mind from the early 1970s. I also went on my first 10-day backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevadas during that time and that trip started at Mosquito Flat, which just happens to be the same location where the hike featured in this video started. (Only on the 1970s trip we hiked over Mono Pass and in this day hike just up to Morgan Pass.)
