Time to school people who just started listening to TX rap back in 05 and who think Dike Jones invented screwed and chopped. When you see rappers like Rob G throw that "W"up, he not reppin for Cali. He reppin S.W.A.T. - Southwest Alief Texas. Also, when Slim talks about his car being blue, it don't mean he a Crip. Niggas from the Northside of HTown role in blue - niggas from the South normally role in red. It has nothing to do with being a blood/crip. That's just how the city was divided up.

Thank you for explaining that fully! I've been listening to TX, TN rap since 99' because my older sister used to jam it all the time even though we're from SC. But I was tired of folk saying Jones invented screwed n chopped music. And people who were putting blood, crip affiliation on the south and north colors should be shot. Artist from the region state that the colors represent where they arem from in their music ALL THE TIME!!!

I've had to school kids on the TX rap scene so many times. I can't fault them if they not from here though I just hate when they try to argue, then ask me where I'm from when I got a big ass star in my damn profile, and it says TX. LOL Screw started in 91, but I think even if they got into in 2005, it gives them more than enough time to investigate the history and come to a very sound conclusion that Jones didn't invent it and North and South colors have nothing to do with Bloods and Crips .
