  • The Blessing of Favor is one of my favorite books! Whenever I claim favor the way you describe in your book, I see instant results. It's amazing.

  • 1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

I pray for you, you are being a hypocrite of the very word you are supposed to follow.

  • @SuperGolfing1 Even Satan can quote the Word. The notion that women should not teach was applicable at Paul's time, but there are examples throughout the Bible of women in positions of authority and as prophetesses: Deborah of Judges 4, Miriam of Exodus 15:20, and Miriam of Micah 6:4 are prime examples. God can and does use anyone who is open to Him to further His Kingdom. For example, women were first on the scene after the resurrection to bear witness. If you are offended, turn it off.

  • @HarrisonHouse Um dont know what you meant about Satan quoting the word, though he can and he knows the word very well. Is there one example of a woman being ordained in the Bible? What does the Bible say about a bishop-male, preacher etc.. Jesus had to replace two of his apostles in the upper room which was filled with women as well but he picked 2 males. Jesus didnt conform today we are trying to make it politicly correct or incorrect. They are not supposed to teach to men or us authority

  • @SuperGolfing1 Phoebe in Romans 16:1 was a deaconess, part of the church leadership along with the elders. Priscilla, wife of Aquila, helped her husband got Apollos back on track as referred to Acts 18:26. In practice, I think women preachers help women more than they help men, mostly because women are more open to receiving help from women than men are. The Word of God will not be silent - He is no respecter of persons. The most important thing is the WORD, no matter who delivers it.

  • Yeah I had a conversation about the second sentece of that verse. She was saying over and over they were commanded to do what ever she asked, but she left out the part as she was a succourer (assistant) to many. Where did you get that she was a deaconess from this scripture. Rom 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a SERVANT of the church which is at Cenchrea: There is nothing wrong with women sharing the gospel discreetly to a man not in public Act 18:26 not athoritive way

  • @SuperGolfing1 It depends on the translation. NIV, AMP both use deacon, KJV and NKJV use servant, ESV uses servant but interchanges deaconess. Regardless of whether it's scriptural to teach men in a public setting, the Bible does command women to teach other women. I would argue that women teaching women is more effective than women teaching men anyway, and even more so in Paul's time.

  • Hey Kate! This is Jamie, the piano player from Tampa Bay Word Of Faith. You ministered there back in 2004 or so and I just wanted you to know I still listen to your message that you shared that day on the FOG! You've given my wife and I a real insight on the Favor of God like no one else and we claim it daily. We've seen and we're STILL seeing His mighty hand of Favor working in our lives each day! :-)

God bless and keep sharing the message!

    Jamie
