@nan0ja The Yemen is nearly gone, due to the political unrest in the area, and they are not sure when they will get more, but pop over there, look at the lawsone % listed under the henna batch, and read the result color. You want one that colors grey hair WELL. The stronger dyes are listed at the top of the page, usually. Hope that helps!
@nan0ja it sounds like the henna you got worked as it was meant to. Some henna leaves have more dye content in them than others, and you just need one that has more, if you want a dark result like mine. I get the highest dye content henna I can find, when I am ordering. It has been the Yemen batch, from the mehandi site, in the past.
I have very light ash brown hair and I've used light mountain light red henna dye before and ended up getting a coppery orange even after letting it "calm down" for a few days.. Now I want to try just red dye, but I have a question. I only left it in last time for about 2 hours. Does leaving it on longer deepen the red? Like does the amount of time affect how dark the red is? Because I want a darker red NOT orange/coppery red. Please answer!
I think you're pretty. This colour looks awesome on you. I have about the same colour as you had before the process, and i'm afraid of what will turn out if i use a reddish colour. I'm thinking of getting the Lush henna. It would be my first time ever colouring my hair. Wish me luck.
super thorough, thank you! I just did my hair and blow dried it already and was wondering if rinsing is enough and if I needed to wait to shampoo or not, I guess you went ahead haha.
my hair is naturally dark blond with a lot of lighter blond highlights. I wanted to try henna a tiny, tiny bit just to make my hair very slightly reddish. Can you recommend a good henna color that will barely change my light hair color? Thank you! :) by the way, your hair looks SUPER soft! :) i hope mine could be like that! :)
I have a question although... The last time I've put henna, I used your mixture and it is great! Thanks for that, and I also left henna on my hair over night.
The next morning, when I was washing my hair from henna, my hair fell out like crazy, I don't know why. Did you maby had the same expirience?
@VimColaaa My hair seems to do that every time I shower, but yes it is always a little worse after that initial henna. I have noticed, though, that it falls out a little less over the next couple weeks. So maybe it is just pulling them from the upcoming weeks or something?
I wonder how I'm not bald, really, all the hair I always lose!
My hair is falling all the time, I don't know what to do, I've even drank some pills, but it didn't help.
But I'm not giving up henna, just because that, heh :)
And I have to say that you can buy some great henna, I'm form Croatia, Europe. And our henna just isn't that good of a quality, and I'm diing to try something good.
@CCassiiBOO Yeah, I also thing that was the reason, I would like to ask you also one thing, my ends are also a bit drier after using henna, the roots are perfect, but the ends are a bit dry.
@cind311 Yeah, but just that once, so I'm happy because of that :D
The problem was that I had henna on my head all night, and as I'm not a steady sleeper, I roll around and that probably helped the fact that while I was washing it out my hair fell out, and I use a conditioner every time.
I used henna last month, and not a single hair fell out :)
When you soaked your hair in the bathtub, was it just your head/hair (Major neck pain) or did you get into the water also? Just wondering for my next henna. Also, did it stain your bathtub?
I got in too, to rinse it out. And no, it didn't stain the tub, but I did wipe it down and clean it out with gentle cleaners right afterward. (vinegar water spray and a cloth) HTH!
Very beautiful.....also if you know anyone with cigarette ashes.....the ashes very quickly remove dye from the skin just an FYI for the next time. I swear it works. what you do is take some ashes and a few drops of water to make paste kinda yucky i know....then you rub the paste on the area then wipe clean with soap and water and voila no dye on the ears or forehead
Wow ... looks fabulous! I'm a guy and I used to use henna years ago from the local organic foods store. I can't remember the name of the package but it was as I had short hair I could just wash the stuff out by standing up in the shower.
The only downside I found is that if you suffer from eczema that having the head wrap really will bother your head because all of the moisture being trapped in one place for a long time.
Your hair is very pretty and looks natural. That's the best things about henna because it won't make your scalp itchy and allergic!
I have dyed my hair for years using harsh chemicals that nearly took my life, I now use henna and I am very happy with it. I finally found something natural that works! Thanks, nice vid!
Hello, I needed to get some help and advise from you. I tried henna on my hair and the color stayed the same, can you help me I have black hair and I tried the powder henna and kept it on for about an hour the color was brown. I had to find henna from the beauty store because that was the only place to find it, any advise and by the way how have you been doing?
I'd get some Body Art Quality stuff, for starters (what you got is most likely compound henna, and it's not the best stuff out there. You'll get a better result with the good stuff.)~ Black hair will pick up a TINT of red, but it will not lighten because of the henna. Henna adds color, it doesn't do much else. BUT additional henna treatments will cause the reddish tint to build up and you'll have a richer color with more treatments.
My sister is doing henna to her hair like right now!!!

@Hadeelq888 Hello! I saw your comment on the henna video. I have incredibly damaged hair (it is very thin and it breaks easily)
I've been using amla oil and vatika and have made several homemade hair masks that are helping
I want to try henna sometime soon!
Are there any arab products or remedies that you reccomend that work? :)
Thank you friend :)

@tysonisforever
Yes amla oil gives your hair density and length When Tkhaltinh with coconut oil Fatyka
I advise you to put henna and it gives the intensity and the length of the hair and nourish the scalp

i love the results!
did your hair get redder the second day?
i really want to try this out, but i'm afraid it might get too red!
Leslielovebug 2 years ago
The color deepens over time, it gets less bright and more rich, if that makes any sense. So, less crayola-red, more burgundy.

how long did it take for the orange to come out of ur skin?

A day or two? Probably faster if you wash your face with soap, my skin cannot tolerate that. ;)
