i have an 1981 yz 80 with the mono-shock is fucking fast had it on my schools dyno had 21 horse power and 60 footpounds of tourqe with a TOP SPEED OF 158 OH BY THE WAY IT HAS A 6 SPEED TWO STROKE ITS THE YELLOW ONE AND THEY ONLY MADE 200 THAT YEAR THAT WERE AIR COOLED!!!!!

Nice bike. Yamaha started the inverted forks on the yz80 that year. I have a 96 honda cr80rb(bigwheel), but you can definatally tell the difference from regular forks and inverted. The inverted handle harder landings and smaller bumps better.

hi mate do u oil the air filter heaps???? write back please i need to know because i have the same bike and then i got it the air filter was oiled heaps and i got a new air filter and only oiled it a little bit and it seems to go shit so can you tell me what u do with your air filter thanks mate

you shouldn't oil it loads what oil are you using? you can buy special air filter oil which is green and more gooey than oily are you using that or oil like 2stroke?
