  • Damn this guy lost power lol stock is 175and180 tq

  • @serqr25 that is to the flywheel numbers, not to the wheels. The dyno measures what is put to the ground, not what is at the engine.

  • to bad b15 isnt a site anymore.. =/

  • Spec V's respond nice to turbonetics turbo kits with well over 300HP, lil monsters and a 3 inch exhaust will pulsate the windows of your house at idle

  • that was a really nice spec.

  • having 171hp without header dawg

  • @dofl23 That's what I was thinking.

  • Dont know what these guys talking about...But i love these cars....

  • Why is that? its got a LSD, 175hp 180ft lbs tq 6 speed tranny and a pretty nice suspenison setup....i've driven one they are pretty impressive! So why do you hate it just out of curiousity?

  • Youve driven one have you put gas in it.. things a damn pig!!!!! im around 200-300 a month for gas.

  • @lan00b i get 28 miles per gallon in my 05 city driving. over 30 on the highway! and i have a CAI, exhaust and throttle body spacer. Great torque is why i picked the spec v!

  • i see an apexi ws2 exhaust

  • these cars make decent torque but the plain honest truth is they have no power, no top end. And I dont know if it was just the audio but the car sounded like it was missing while going to redline

  • Have you driven one its got a decent top end for a econobox 4 cylinder. its 5-7000 is awesome.

  • I actually own one, 02 silver. Car has good torque but up top it dies out around 120. the numbers speak for themselves, dude made 171 hp 172 tq, these 2.5's werent specifically designed for the spec v its just tuned differently, They ran them in altimas and frontiers, so naturally its gonna be a better motor for low end then up top. Dont get me wrong its a great car overall, but theres no market in making these motors impressivly fast.

  • @R1PTHAJACKER The vast amount of tuning and racing parts and support would disagree with you on no market to make them faster.

  • @Riujinzero how many spec v's are doing 10's, or even 11's? The so called vast amount of tuning and racing parts you speak of are found where? Racing parts to you must be stuff like headers and intakes, cause to me racing parts are more like complete engine internals, stage 5 axles, complete cooling systems, and the list goes on. Its not worth spending a few thousand for a low 14 sec car. Sorry if you're feelings are hurt

  • @R1PTHAJACKER hardly hurt, but there are 3 or 4 companies that make forged internals for the car. There are racing thermostats, radiators, etc from several companies for the car. high flow fuel rails, pumps and injectors, there are quite a few boosted Specs making over 300WHP, just join any nissan sentra/spec v forum. There are several racing coilovers available for the car. Camber kits, trailings arms, etc, I'm just saying there is much more support for this car then you think.

  • @Riujinzero you must keep forgetting I own one of these cars, and you failed to answer my question, how many do you see doing 10's or 11's? And still be a street car? I know there are some parts available and i have browsed all the options, and theres not alot to choose from when it comes to building a car with true power and reliability, and if you think 300 hp for $4-5k is impressive, then go ahead and enjoy wasting your money.

  • @R1PTHAJACKER lol, you seem to be taking this personally or something, a lot of aggression in your posts, I'm the last person to preach to about performance for the money, I follow the history and development of muscle cars to sport compacts to supercars and the aftermarket associated with them also. we can talk about gears, internals, fuel systems, cooling systems, suspension geometry, body dynamics, and the theory behind making power all day with just about any car out there.

  • @Riujinzero I never said 300HP for 5k is a good deal, that was something you assumed, all I said was there was a bigger aftermarket than you SEEMED to have thought, maybe you already know about them, than I stand corrected, but please don't put words in my mouth. btw, I have seen very few streetable 10 second cars and the ones that are tend to be out of the price range of most people.

  • @Riujinzero then you haven't been to the right tracks, i personally have 3 friends with two 10 sec civics, and one 9 sec civic, all street driven cars with stock chassis. all built under 15k .You're the one who replied to my original post, The only point i've been trying to make is I have higher expectations for certain amounts of money being spent, and these sentras arent worth it, which is why i've kept mine bone stock.

  • @R1PTHAJACKER I have seen several sub 11 Hondas and though it may be driven on the street I personally would not call them streetable. They are loud with hornet nests exhausts and suffer the same issues any high hp front wheel drive car suffers. It's all a matter of opinion I guess, since personally I find Civics not worth modifying while you may find that they are. Every man his own.

  • lol october 27th is my birthday

  • yeah i want to dyno it but i have to find out much it cost and if there is one here in new mexico i wonder what differance it would make with the elevation here 5000 feet

  • i would like a list of his mods.I have a 02 spec and iam tryin to keep trac of whp as i add bolts ons to it

  • I dont remember the list. He has a Z now. Just dyno your own car as you add mods to see what YOUR car does.

  • what else do you have in there besides an intake?

  • Any Spec V 2007 SER show up? They start at 200HP with the 2.5L engine.

  • yeah, but he didnt run it. plus he just traded it in for a MS Miata MX-5 turbo

  • i dont get it dont se r's spec v's have 175 hp stock lmao

  • at the flywheel, not at the the wheels.

  • and look at hte torque to the wheels. with an average of 16-18% loss that equals aboout 200+ to the fly. a header woould uopen that up alot

  • i have one only problem is they have 175 at the crank and only put down around 145 to the wheels.

  • I must be missing something. Where is the problem?

  • an automatic maybe. A Standard SE-R stock should put down just over 150whp.

  • its a spec.

  • Mods besides not having headers?

  • nice spec-v is it stock? it doesnt seem to have any modz in it (didnt see chrome intake or anything like that) assuming also from the hp tq numbers

  • the only thing it doesnt have is a Header. other than that, its pretty modded

  • nice carbon fiber

  • hey i wanna talk to the owner of this car i wanna ask him about his hood and spoiler i love them and want to know what they did to them to make it look like that

  • He got it painted around the carbon fiber to go with the car color and to have it a lil different. Its really nice in person!

  • thats soo cool i never would of thought about that but props to the owner but ya wat about the spoiler? how did he get it to look like that?

  • fake V!!! were yo brembos @ kid?

  • Not all Spec Vs come with Brembos, it's a factory option...by the way.

  • noob!!!

  • Im glad someone pointed that out to Pdubz8

  • That is hot ass spec v

  • Nice N/A #'s for a spec, what kind of rims are those?

  • If the edges were silver, they would be my dream.

  • mod list?

  • where did u get the carbon fiber spoiler?
