  • Great vid

  • If you try to grab someones arm who is stabbing full force you will break your thumbs

  • So like every video I see about knife defense shows that the offender will use the two force grips. How about the light grips, where he would keep maximum distance and give you slight slashes on your fingers, palms, wrists? He doesn't have to go into close contact, you do (unless you got a handgun). He just gives you light wounds and waits for you to bleed a glass or two of blood, where you start getting much weaker.

  • Truly a great defense, Krav Maga reminds me so much, congratulations on the techniques.

  • HE'S GOT A KNIFE!!!! So? Who is worried about the knife? It can't do anything on it's own. But the man.....yeah he is a problem. BECAUSE HE HAS A FREAKING KNIFE!!! The knife not the problem....the man, huge problem.

  • Ridicules...

  • Knife is hard to defend. Can't simple "stop" force, but redirect or change it. Any chance of arm and-or weapon control; get it and keep it. The blocking shown could be hard enough to jolt it from the attacker's hand, but not likely if they are mad and serious, adapt and don't commit body or both hands. Knife is easy to pull away on contact and change to a sneaky cut, so shutting down multiple joints helps survival chances. Respect, for practicing with a live blade.

  • A good knife fighter would never use a knife like that its just moronic to use a knife like that...

  • another internet ninja teaching suicide techniques!

  • What if after the block he just slices through your arm and you FUCKING BLEED, enter a state of shock and die. you can't do straight blocks against a knife... they just pull back!

And the only realistic way to catch his arm is from elbow and up, so your best shot is jumping outside his knife arm on a backhand slash and somehow simultaneously grab his arm, kick his balls and then bite his arm or something.

    But most likely you're DEAD.

I have no practical experience, this is just common sense.

  • @mickenorlen yes sir. any time someone has a knife and their trying to cut you, you most likely are dead. no matter how "good" you are. if u live, you WILL get cut. we practice what works and if u dont think it works, join a dojo somewhere and gain yourself some "practical experience".

  • @mickenorlen thank You for Your time writeing this :)

  • I do Krav Maga and Arnis...and thank you very much for this new techniques, you guys are awesome. by the way what is the system you guys are showing us?

    greetings from Guatemala!

  • LOL!!

    This remembers me...

"Jim Carrey MadTV Karate Instructor" hahahaha

  • @Chargevandro Now that's hilarious!

  • you two are AWSOME!!!

  • heh Thanks

  • why not just run away?

  • guy has on a vest JUUUST in case. Safety first, even when just practicing, kids.

  • @LostandRecovered always safety :D

  • I learn something new every time I watch this video

  • @cyborgee1 Thanks Your comment is Very nice:)

  • arrrr aint heard that tune in ages

  • i take aikido and this is incredibly similar it does work. you just have to have to work on timing and being fluid. remember its the defenders whole body against his one arm thats how he takes him off balance

  • Usually I run the order as

    1) Don't get hit

    2) Control the weapon hand

    3) A distractionary strike: either an eye gouge or knee break.

    4) Break the wrist holding the weapon.

    5) Break their neck.

    Similar, but not the same.

  • all the attacks are made with a straight arm making it easier to catch! all the fancy stuff after that is never going to happen, unless you get the hold, real people don't help you to catch their arms.

  • Jesus, this is good for demonstrations on how not to pay for training, but really. If I came up against an idiot like this, it would be a bloodbath. "Defang the snake! Defang the snake! the instructors words rang in his head as the blood left his body...."

  • I agree with many of the responses on this video. The applications demonstrated here would be very dangerous. When initially grabing the knife, the defender does not move his body off the line of attack. It is very possible that you could miss against a real attack or your grip slip off at which time you would get stabbed.

  • @apryor2006 I understand Your comment. but there are many ways of defense and like many forms of attack. in grappling choke is not the only way to tap out a guy.. You understand? In the vid I do not stand stiff like a tree and wait. I feel all the things around, I think and react on every moves and changes. It is hard to show in one short clip.

  • are you in the army?

  • nice video

    whats the song name?

  • @zaiko619 Die Motherfuc----ker Die

  • nice techniques man!! what country is this btw??

  • @pballakid POLAND

  • Video stupendo!! Mi sembra anche molto utile.

    Il coltello è un gerber?

  • Non ricordo. Gerber o Spyderco.

    Grazie per Tuo comentario.

  • whar system is this?

  • now system. just Self defense.

  • I'm a ten year old girl and I've only been studying ju-jitsu since I was six and even I can tell that this is not very good ju-jitsu!!!

And why the masks? Are you embarrassed?

  • i am sure You know why the masks.. when You get up morning look in the mirror and it crashes..

  • This is not supposed to be Ju-Jitsu....he is just showing/teaching a simple knife defense technique. I can see if he called it a "Ju-Jitsu Video". But he didn't. So why are you saying that? Now that's a really good question I wanted to ask you. Peace!

  • Well, it looks like, you could use it really. When it doesn't go TOO fast.

  • Hi!

    Watch my latest vid.

  • This way of stopping the attack is very risky. There is high risk of the attack to break through it and also a risk of injury on the hand (fingers). Also this block is very thin compared to other options.

  • it is just a way to make a lock.

  • And then break the arm. Makes for stab attempts in the future.

  • You guys must really trust each other...because your using a real knife to practice...that spells dip stick, but whatever floats your boat.

  • Yes, sometimes it is scary but we do with full speed with fakes. Real only for good grab, distance, to remember where is the "sharp side"..

  • actually it was not trained before. My Friend was just helping me he do not practice anything but he knew how to stab me :D

  • I was taught for chest level lunge attack to move to the outside, block, grab the apponents head in a non locking grip, and strike the head with a knee to head crush. is there a more quicker more effective way to incapacitate the apponent as he may still have the knife?

  • There are much much more ways.

    Thanks for comment!

  • Could you elaborate please.

  • I have trained martial arts for 15 years. Now on a mission to find some really effective knife defences. My main martial art is Wing Chun (not just traditional, very practical applications [very like Krav Maga in a lot of ways]). But 99% of knife defences are carried out against lunging unskilled attacks. What about the nightmare scenario - i.e very very fast economical stabbing and thrashing motions, no lunging in just moving forward cutting arms and hands then finishing a crippled opponent?

  • I do not understand Your question..

  • I have too been training wc for years now, in a traditional & practical combat aplications. I personally am far more affraid of knive disarms than guns. When having to implement a knife disarm be prepared to possibly get cut but still control the situation with disarms you have been taught. I have also been training Kali which is very transferable to WC. They have many knife drills and have found them to be helpful in controlling a fast moving blade.

  • I understand this question.

I say, to Piotrek830324, think "prison tactics", i.e; in the shower room. You do not want to put your body behind the strike because of maintaining balance, so, you let you arm do all the work, which, in turn, makes a faster attack. It's usually done more in slashing and not so much thrusting, but, thrusting DOES occur.

  • Hi whitedragon101. Try with Marc "Animal" Mac Young and Kelly Mac Cann for real knife defense. Luck in your journey and stay safe.

  • A really aggressive knifer will cut your arm and hands when he yanks away the knife. He can feel you trying to grab. Also the overhand grip, you've committed two hands if he foists the weapon to the other hand, you're stabbed.

The best thing is move out of the line of attack and parry then catch and control.

  • this is actually a lot better than a lot of the other tactics on youtube

  • Thanks for Comment

  • what song at end

  • The music is great music

however the techniques are really just acceptable

main reason is a block can offen help an experince knifer as he can perform draw cuts on your arms or bounce off them to redirect at your throat

  • Hi

2 strait arms gives You good control to one hand. rest is body moving. even if he pull out his armed hand You step back, separate hands etc

    Thanks for comment!

  • True as long as your not trying to reach out for the knife

instead try using your arm as a cat would use his whiskers to feel out everything with soft blocks and interciptions

the cat does not try to brush his whiskers against everthing,it just happens and he is given a sort of 6th sense where everything is.

listen friend soon I will be making my own knife defence video so you will see I am not talking smack or that I am not just some "mighty keyboard warrior". hee hee : )

  • good ^^ I like to see different way of thinking about this kind of things...^^

    I'm waiting for your video

  • it all goes well I will have have my friend film us this weekend.I am looking forward to making the video myself

Not that it will be better however you will see a slightly different concept at answering this situation of being unarmed against knife

  • thanks, different point of view always improve your own style ^^ very kind of you.

(I have torn a part of my right pec a few minutes ago, so I'm not very happy now...anyway....lol....TOT......)

  • who attacks with a knife like that??? nobody...plz ppl. give a child a pen and then u will see where the "knife" would hit u...u would be dead!

  • I laughed when you said counterstrike :). cuz you guys are dressed like t's and ct's.

    very nice vid though.

  • what is

    t's

    and

    ct'c

  • t's and ct's are terrorists and counter-terrorists. They are two teams from a pc game called counterstrike.

  • OK

    heh Thanks anyway :)

  • Funny^^i have a knife and i want to strike an enemy i'll not strike with a straight stretch out arm!

Most attackers will bend there arm to strike...reducing the blocking options

On this video it wouldn't be any difference if the guy was fighting with a stick...he never bends his arm

  • on this video Attack looks as strait thrust and defense looks like it is.

On other video can be other attacks like slashes up/down etc

if on an video someone throws an ball on You then the attack look like if someone have thrown a ball on You

    :)

  • sorry dude won't work as shown here :( never grab for a wrist / hand like that- you might miss his wrist and then... ooooh ....not nice flesh wound

  • you may try to dance around him like in Aikido but he may slash You and then... ooooh .....not nice flesh wound

  • It's Dope - Die Motherf*cker, Die. :P

  • yes, wright. it is Dope :)

    missed the name :)

  • no seriously, some one tell me the name of the song, its sick

  • I do not remember. It can be some of Drowing Pool - Die motherfuc*er Die.

  • whats the name of the song thats playing?

  • Lol, I don't see how this helps, most people just slash wildly.

  • yeah, most people slash wildly but if you parry the first strike he has to attack from the same side again.

btw, do somebody know what song it is??

PS: i know that my english is bad ;)

  • awesome video. where do you live and what kind of suits are those? it looks like it would be a nice light tactical setup.

  • green is US tank crew and second one is Helo crew(?)

    I live in Poland.

This are some of my things that I hide from other ppl :)

  • good idea of how to protect yourself..

  • Thank You for Your comment.

  • glad to see some aikido in there.

  • yeah! Aikido is everywhere :)

  • what ive seen the police in my country does in a REAL situation is with one hand hold the knife and with the other push the dude so u keep him to a safe situation, after that another dude came with a teaser, it was done in a second LOL

  • its fake and if some one really tried to stab you you wouldn't be able to stop them. i'm sorry but until you've been in a knife fight you will never know

  • great video! some of the best knife defense drills i've ever seen! thank you for your fine instruction

  • thanks for Your comment!

    Take Care

  • Yeah, you probably shouldn't be practicing with a real knife, they make trainers like the Blackhawk Crucible trainer, and there's always rubber ones. Just trying to keep you safe.

  • I train with wooden knifes, it was for film only!

    Thanks and take care.

  • Okay, no problem then. Keep up the good work.

  • I have two Crucible Trainers in addition to two Crucibles (lost or cannibalized my other two). Additionally, I've trained with Michael Janich in MBC. There is such a large body of experience in this subject that I think it's really important to consult those who train armed professionals as a matter of general guidance.

Additionally, although I understand why you are using a real knife for demonstration purposes, it is very easy for people to get the wrong idea.

  • Hi tutulee. You are talking with the truth.

  • this is so stupid! they're using a real knife to practice

  • and you know that real knife attacks arent all big and open like when he straightens his arm all the way up knife attacks happen fast. sometimes too fast to do anything about them. yeah you can try to grab his arm but what if its bent at a 90 degree angle try grabing arm when the knife is comming at you first lol

  • Most criminals DO stab right off the bat... those who believe that knife attacks are usually "slashing" tend to be martial artists (often those in the Filipino arts) with no real experience in street knife attacks.

  • Knife fighting isn't like with fists. It's swish-swish-slap. Ever so quick and before you know it you're full of holes.

    Check out Animal Macyoung's site.

  • and try to watch his films "wmpyr" like :

Shadow Boxing with the knife (Knife Boxing 101)

  • many teachers have their own methods of fighting, they live in different culture in one places ppl do this in other this. You know..

  • Yes of course..if you know what to expect.

But I would have thought broadcasting your intentions like this wouldn't happen much anywhere. Fighting is fighting and the body works in the same way wherever you come from.

I'm not knocking any fighting styles. I think they all have something to offer, but you can't rely on just one to cover everything. And an experienced knife fighter won't broadcast too much.

  • "I think they all have something to offer, but you can't rely on just one to cover everything" that is correct! that is why I have showed only one or two ways of "possible" defense but it is not THE ONLY ONE!! :D

  • Not saying it is. Just that you might not see broadcasting like this very often. It could be easier for the attacker to aim for your arms and hands first; coming in for the kill later. A game of chess has an opening before the King is attacked-usually.

This is good to watch though. Need a closer look at what to do with his writst once you've trapped it. Do you have some closer views of these?

  • a game of chess! good words !!!

That is why I do first control/grab/disarm wrist that holds the weapon and THEN I go to the guy :D

  • The guy wouldn't necessarily overreach himself like this. He might come in close and speed slash. The stabbing comes at the end.

Besides, he's not going to let you grab him...

  • this technique was about grabbing pulling and disarming as mane are attacks there are so many defenses too!! like kicks, strikes, throwing items (or sand) and many more that the attacker could not stop. SO there are good and less trained attackers and defenders. always try to chose the wright side :D

  • No try! do or do not! You guys go look at hikuta. Look at Earle Montaigue. His channel is spelt, "Montagu.' Those two are the best 'offense' unarmed against weapons I've seen.

  • Well done. Love this shit. Keep them coming.

  • Thanks a lot for Your comment!

    Take Care

  • I love that so many ppl are interested with my films! THANK YOU ALL!!

  • aaaaa......ok...thanks!!! but no problem with fast motion...I see too...;-)

but fast or slow is not real technique...sorry..... you have nice day ;-)

  • 1. how many ppl you know that attack like this!!

    2. I show one or two types of attack from many

    3. what is more important: speed or strength?

  • Very fantasy techniques.....but in the real worl all is more fast and agresife...

    Funy video.....

  • if we do it fast you would see nothing so we decided to make this film slow motion just for you..

  • Yeap! I think I can handle it to make alone :) wait few moments!

  • #71 - Most Responded (All Time)

  • wats the song?

  • drowing pool or Dope "die mf die"

  • Decent, If I even end up meeting a knife user, I hope I have enough training to fluidly stop the knife and KO.

    Hmmm Solar plexus.

    Or say, have a pistol/Own knife/Throwing Knives.

  • Yes It is hard psychology moment in knife attack! I was attack once! :/

You can also You gel pepper spray

  • Your videos are very useful! I see You are very skilled in self defense and i think hard work stands behind it. Good Job! Could You tell me the name of the song in this video?

  • Thank You for Your comment!

song is from Drowing Pool but do not remember the whole name

  • Ah ok no need^^ a baton or a tonfa or something like is enough to defend yourself aginst a knifeuser.

  • hehe Yes of course! I was just joking:) better never to meet some knifers..

  • What do you mean?25 rouns with a pistol?

  • YES, 25 bullets from M4 are more sure in knife defense then this Knife Defense technique :) and for really rapid attack always wear anti knife Kevlar vest :)

  • Hmm there isn´t really one. When the agressor attacks rapidly all knife defenses are impossible to use.

  • that is why You should put 25 rounds in his head..

  • That isn´t realistic man there is actually not really knife defense. There are possibilities to defend himself against a knife attack, but in 9 of 10 attacks it won´t work.

  • and what would be your best defense?? can you share it with us please??

  • Hmmm... Block opponent's attack is good... Try to execute counterattack at the same time is very good... Execute disarmament technique and gain control over the situation is the best. But: What about MOVE OUT FROM THE LINE OF ATTACK, - at the first???????? Nothing. Even taisabaki... ((( Resume: "do not try this with a real knife!" (c) Piotrek830324. Best Reagards, Valen. P.S. By the by - first thing which must to do attacker, - grasp one of forearms of defender... Am I wright???
  • Yes I should do some taisabaki, but my concept in this video was an fast attack that we have almost no time for any extra move! like an sudden attack! Thanks for Your Comment!

  • God bless Poland and polish criminal for weak knowlege of knife techniques... ))) Jolly Christmas and Happy New Year!

  • the problem with this sort of defense against knifes is that the distance is to big, i guess that a somewhat skilled kniffer will get in really close before he strikes. and when he does, he does is fast, up close and repeatedly

    other than that, looks good!

    reminds me of kraf maga

  • Yes, this block/counter strike is like they teach in KM, what about a kniffer, if I see somebody coming with knife I will make bigger distance, and if it goes about sudden attack then I hope to be quicker or have other kind of luck :) Thanks for Your comment!

  • I have seen quite a few knife attacks in my line of work, and i have yet to see those knife disarms work, in a controlled enviroment they work great but if you have someone coming at you hard or a surprise attack that crap never works, trust me i know.....

  • I show some knife defense techniques. all people please use it on Your own responsibility! I know that it is always better to have hands close to each other then to separate them. also if suddenly a flower pot falls down on You, You will automatically raise two hands up close to each other and not open them and say Welcome :) but I appreciate Your comment my Friend You are Welcome!

  • If i would be the Terrorist i would stab you to death!!! No chance to grab his arm. And even if, he pull away and cut your hands!!!

  • If i would be the 'good' guy I would disarm you and take down for ever haha. first try to punch your friends stomach and tell him to catch your fist. after that write me another comment how it was. could he grab you??

  • I saw a program on the tv for a couple of days ago but their they did it with a pistol but i guess you can do it with a knife aswell.

-If he tries to rob you and put a knife up in your face then you could grab hes hand and his first thought would be: Pull the knife away.. And when he does that you strike him with hes own knife.

  • Thanks for Your comment! Take care!

  • really nice vid! I love your outfits

  • Thanks

  • BRAVO my Friend! I guess only You know what are the films about! most ppl don`t see it and say it is shit because they "think" I show only one best and most useful technique that they can ever find on YT :) You have nice photo in Your profile! nice surroundings Take Care

  • This stuff doesnt work on the street. I have been there. Try some of the Dog Brothers stuff.

  • I have big respect for The Dog Brothers! They do an excellent job!! Were You on street?? Good! me too!

  • yeah...i've said great videos on another one of your videos, however tbh i still think if someone pulls a knife out on you, either run or kick him hard between the legs, but i suppose it is better to try and use this than to just stand there and get stabbed, good job

  • i wouldnt say run; if hes a faster runner then all that is going to happen is you get stabbed in the back =/

  • WOW! I see You watch my film all the Time!! Take Care my Friend!!

  • post more and ill watch even more too :)

it makes good supplemental lessons for when im not out practicing!

  • Yes I agree, there is also possibility that he blocks Your kick with his knife and then You can forget about running away :)and second if he pull off his knife he can use it again and again.. but these all is theory and what happens will happens :)

  • great!be the 8.888 too :)

  • Hmm, a co z bezpośrednim pchnięciem nożem?

  • nie myślałem jeszcze nad tym, pewnie bedzie wmiare podobna albo zbicie albo złapanie. w takim ataku jakte lepiej widać zbijanie i łapanie.

  • Buthunkus is right and trying to help you. I thought this was a parody at first. These techniques will get you killed. Have your buddy think of the blade as a fish wiggling aroung any obstacle to your vital points rather than over your head. It will add a new dimension to your practice. First move out of the path of the blade, then secure the hand. Protecting against an incoming blade with two thumbs is suicidal. salaam alekum

  • the technique itself isnt bad. and can be applied to any of the attackers moves. not just the few ones shown. anyone whos speaking bad about this probably doesnt know much about knife defence. wrist control is key to disarming a knife using just your bare hands. and when dealing with a knife, you BETTER get wrist control or your going to get stabbed.

and, of course he would carry his own blade, he would just keep it sheathed to disarm his opponent, then draw his blade and coup de gras
