Well, this clip is a travesty. It's like a Reader's Digest version of WAR AND PEACE--so chopped up and abbreviated. Alley's dance deserves better treatment. A live performance of "Revelation" will knock your socks off. If the company comes your way, be sure to attend!
I went to see Alvin Alley and i am so amazed by his work.Its a good tribute to him aswell i was so inspired take dance 2 anoher level...FULLI LUVIN' IT!
No other piece has moved me to want to sing these spirituals and have movement done to them...I would love to hear live singing and see the awesome movements of Alvin Ailey...I am sure it would be music in motion! Such a tribute to the creative genius of Mr. Ailiey....Awesome contribution to our time, and for times to come...God's peace and good journey!!

for our school chorus we had to sing sinner man i think it was one of the most fun songs ive ever sang.
