New setup now runs a Q8300 with an ATI 5770 with 3 displays. The dual 9600GT wasn't SLI in OSX just Windows 7 (modded drivers on an Xfire board).

@conor1148 pretty easy (compared to DSDT editing for SL), there's a web article on how to get them set up however it can only be used with sepcific driver releases.

@surrealillusion did you use the crack off that german (or was it russian?) site? the one that wasnt quite a "driver" but it fooled your chipset into thinking it was a x58 or something?

@conor1148 Yes it involved tricking the system to think I was on a x58 series board. Took a bit of trial and error but the instructions were easy enough to follow and figure out. The benefit was to be able to dual boot, have triple screens and be able to play some games.

@stizzco boot123 cd and the retail installer. Patched with a few kext files and the rest is all working OOB

No I skipped that and went for USB based sound from the Logitech Z5 speakers I have set up
