  • Hmmmm.... So, watch "james' GSXR 750 aborted video attempt" and decide what to call me, I guess ..... lol.

  • Ahhhhh.... I love the way your mind drifts off when you're riding down a beautiful road...I live in the desert, different kinda beautiful, but I get ya ;) Keep yer two wheels down girl!! ^5

  • I'm a forgetfull rider ! When you get on the bike, all the s**t that comes with living in the modern world slips away and is forgotten, It's in this time, I like most people lose ourselves to the simple joy of riding !

  • Hmmmm...... I am not sure what I would call myself. I just love to ride. I have an '08 GSXR 750 with a lot of mods to make it fit me better - I don't ride it everyday because it would lead to tickets and/or jail - you would probably call me a squid on that one ( double the posted speed limit too much of the time ) My 2nd is an '06 sv650 ( the previous owner spent so much on mods, should have got a sportbike in the first place ) On it, I commute, ride in rain, and ride every second i can.

  • GoPro My dear GoPRO!!! Some day you will figure it out.

  • @navythomas8 Eh, no thanks. We sell them at work. I know lots of people that have them. I still really don't care for them. I do not like the audio, the tech support, or the clunkiness of it. Two things I look for in a camera. It has to have one or both: incredible audio, and/or unobtrusive design. The GoPro may be "small," but it is oddly shaped and far too easy to spot. Doesn't blend with bike or helmet.

  • @lauriejennifer What camera are you using? And have you thought about getting a Drift, if you don't have one already. I use mine on my bike, ski's/snowboard and mountain bike no problem. Easy to use, and much lower profile than the Go-pro.

  • @marcusmaximus77 The one on the bike is an older model ContourHD. The one on the camera is the Kodak PlaySport. I would love a Drift, but couldn't cough up the coin. I prefer the Contour, but the latest Contour+ is going for more almost more than I make in a month. LOL The latest Drift is excellent, too. Ah, so many toys! So little cash!

  • You are near K.C.?

  • @MetalHeadKLR650 If I got any nearer, I'd be out the other side. I live in the city limits.

  • @lauriejennifer OIC, I'm about 3 hours East of you :)

  • Thought you're name seemed familiar, see it often. Specially on supermotojunkie, good to see you still riding. Take care

  • @knockout818 Ah, nice! I don't stop by there very much. I can't figure you guys out. LOL I remember when I used to post about being freaked out by stairs and even curbs. Ah, good times... LOL

    Yes, still riding!

  • I have three bikes.... a Kawasaki ZR7-S , other bikers talk and wave and respect me.... A Triumph 3TA (1967) Same thing as the ZR7-S only more respect.... A Suzuki ux150 Motorscooter , nobody waves no respect no talking. Al of them have two wheels on all of them you get wet when it rains warm when the sun shines and cold in winter time.....

  • @bakker46 All three are great bikes! Scoots are a riot, too. I always wave at scooters. I also wave at bicycles. I love two wheels fairly indiscriminately. Also, that Triumph is incredible.

  • Don't forget the old geezers on their sport touring bikes!

  • @JimNtexas I won't forget! This was certainly not a comprehensive list! :-D

  • i fall into the lone wolf nobody wants to ride with me catagory because im cool like that

  • @67kneil That's the best way to ride IMO. I ride with friends at times, but the whole "freedom" thing kinda gets lost when you're doing what the group wants to do. Riding alone you can ride however you want, wherever you want, etc....

  • @67kneil I enjoy riding alone. It can be difficult to find schedules that match with others, or people who you REALLY enjoy riding with. For me, it's more an issue of the former. I work every Saturday.

  • I have a Suzuki SV 1000 S and a BMW K100RS oldtimer. When I'm riding the Suzuki I have a sporty riding style and on the BMW I'm enjoying the scenery. So I don't know in witch catagorie you can put me because I enjoy both!

  • @Ronfilmfan Both are excellent machines. Enjoying both is its own category! There are lots of people who own multiple types of bikes and enjoy different "styles" of riding.

  • I've been called a "dedicated rider" so I'll go with that. I'm a touch crazy but not stupid when it comes to biking. Halfgat only because I still can't get a pair of riding pants long enough to cover my ankles! LOL I'd ride with anyone that shows some sense 8-)

  • @BrianWest58 It can be hard for taller people to find pants. Try Firstgear. They make tall sizes in their overpants.

I get called dedicated and insane. With it being in the teens (F) in the mornings, I've been the only one still riding to work. I'm usually ATGATT, sometimes halfgat, and I've even gone semi-squid before, like when I'm running up the street to Redbox, or commuting literally <1 mile on a really hot day.

  • can you rotate the camera so it's upside down to raise the lens or is the lens at the center of the camera?

  • @TheTacticalBarrage The lens does not rotate. And if I did, you would only see the sky. I'm working on it, but we'll see...

  • My current relationship with my bike is complicated. There's nothing wrong with the bike. But I haven't taken it out in a while and now there is ice and snow on the ground.

When I am riding, I like twisty, hilly roads. Straight bores me unless I can go fast. Naked bikes with commuter suspension don't really do fast.

  • @Fudmottin I hear ya on the complicated thing. Bummer about the snow/ice. So far, so good here.

Twisties and hills are great fun. I remember the lackluster suspension of the Ninja 250. I hear ya on that. I really don't miss that.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it to the Ozarks this year.

  • Sorry - got the point already - its an older vlog...

the pic quality of the kodak - even of the ground + the sound, seems very-very good.

How much did it cost as RRP?

  • @Snowhite808 Heh, yeah. This was recorded the same day as my previous vlog.

RRP? I have no idea what that stands for, but the camera was just under $100.

  • @lauriejennifer Did think of "rrrrrrrrrecommended rrrrrrrrrrrretail ppppriceee.

But the cam pic looks a lot better from my vado HD II gen(and the price even lower). So i really like that. Wish somebody could do a comparison of them. Add a little wide angle touch to the new kodak and its a keeper. I like inside helm cam because it gets everything in one record. + It is mostly very well protected from the elements - what is really important in my region...

  • Still havent gotten the add-on lens huh?

Bummer, but the type of riders....Hmmm.

Here in north I suppose we have 2 types. Those who ride and those who don´t ;-)

I suppose the summer is just so short that we do not want to fall into any categories.

God it´s painful to watch all of em vlogs when you have like 2 ft of snow outside the window....

  • @Snowhite808 Snow? What's that? :-D We have gotten less than 2 inches of snow all winter thus far. It did rain last night, though. Almost 50 today. *sigh*

  • @Killamuf 1080 is total win! Here's to hoping I can figure out this camera angle...

The 250 is an epically fun bike.

  • lauriejennifer... What does a "squids" mean?

  • @Aonexia "Squids" is plural for Squid ;) They are riders that typically ride bikes too powerful for their skill level, wear little to no protective gear and think they are the shit. You know the type... riding around with shorts, sandals, T-shirt, doing stupid shit and crashing all the time lol. Generally they want to look cool(at all costs) and have no respect for their bikes.

  • @Twizts Ohh...... Cheers mate! :) Now I get it! Thanks mate... I'm a rider and did not even know that. ;) Cheers!

  • @Aonexia Twizts hit it on the button. I couldn't have said it better. Often a squid is simply an inexperienced rider who simply doesn't not better. Some continue to be intentional squids long after they know they are aware of the term and are even quite skilled riders. I know a few. They baffle me, but it's their choice. Like I said, there are a lot of different types of riders.

  • I ride an '85 Honda Nighthawk 650. I commute on it, explore on it, run errands on it, de-stress on it, travel from Dallas to eastern AL frequently on it, ride with my friend just after arriving in AL... on it, work on it, practice on it, think about it... on it, and drum on that shiny red tank at lights when i'm on it. There is something so beautiful about 2 wheels!
  • @drienkm There is definitely something about it.

  • @drienkm Beautifully stated my brother; well said... indeed....

  • I still have my SV650. I can and, do ride with anyone who isn't an *hole. I like all different categories of bikes, and want some of each. I cant just typecast myself to one style of bike.

  • @SAR0311 Well said. And the SV is an excellent machine.

  • @lauriejennifer Lol yeah. Last night I met a chick who had a friend who ABSOLUTELY hated any thing but harleys and ranted on about how any other bike was tratorus bc it was not american built. Lol.

  • How does the quote go "it not what you ride as long as your riding" I ride with cruiser and sport bikes guys all the time. Oddly it is very rare to see a super moto or else I would ride with them to

  • @WildBill1006 So true! It's fun how different a ride will feel/go with different people and different types of bikes.

  • dude relax on the delicious comments

  • @ATOMARIEL LOL I said "delicious" once this entire vlog.

  • Talking to your bike again, heh.

  • @JoshCanVideo Always!
