of course boxings an art u pricks,,,,, so is muay thai... first of all ak24ek13 let me put u straight muay thai is not 3 rnds its 5rounds. ur probly on about K1,, a pro muay thai fighter runs about 20km a day so they do have great stamina.. they dont just use there fists they use kicks knees elbows and clinches alot more work.. im not disrespecting boxing at all.. i been boxing for 4 yrs and training muay thai for 2yrs in thailand actually.

But also to be an excellent MMA fighter you need to incorporate throws from Greco roman, judo and sambo, clinch work from thai boxing, boxing and greco roman. There is a lot more than you think, just watch Jerome le banner or Bj penn they have excellent stand-up. boxing and mma are two totally different sports, boxing i feel can have more strategy at times while mma is more diverse in technique but definitely not style alot of mma fighters look and fight the same but i suppose its like that in boxing, mma is marketed alot better as in you know the fighters better, but you don't see some things in mma that you do in boxing like the slick head movement and such
