He's right. When I was running track my biggest goal was to break the 5 minute mile. It was no problem for all the other guys on my team, but it was hard as hell for me, I tried as hard as I could, and in my 4th to last track meet of my career, I finally did it. :-)
Stallone knows more about what it means to be a man than all the faculties of all the universities. If your BF doesn't like the Rocky films, you are in trouble.
In the original first blood script, rambo dies at the end, so not many wanted much to do with it. Stallone rewrote the ending obviously rambo lives, fortunately spawning three more sequels. In the special features of some first blood dvds you can see that alternate ending where rambo dies by his own hand in front of troutman during the standoff in the final minutes of the film.

Its so true what he says. theres always people out there who cant get rid of that/their demon(s) so they end up depressed and miserable for he rest of their lives like rocky.
Word is, as of March 2008, HE stated he was halfway thru writing RAMBO 5. He reported that in a Swedish Magazine. He says that it won't be based in the jungles, he's gone as far as he wants to with that. And he's not giving away the story or plot yet....
First Blood was based off the book of the same name by David Morrell, but Stallone co-wrote the screenplay for the movie. He also co-wrote the screenplay for each of the sequels.
Sly, even though you've been on steroids or HGH since at least Rocky 3, your an incredible inspiration to all .... brilliant writer, director, producer, and saving the best for last, Actor.
That's the thing about these movies. I would much rather see an ambitious, optimistic film like "Rocky Balboa" than deprave myself and watch "Saw." Your focus determines your reality. If you want to feel positive about life, as though you can do something meaningful and achieve, watch "Rocky" or even "Over the Top." I know that movie gets a lot of flak, too, but it's highly inspirational. Stallone is a great man.
right on!! the movies watched have tremendous influence without knowing it, even books read, music listened to, especially the people time is spent with shape our attitudes, and the realities of our lives...you too are a great and positive person!
