  • @JessieJGURL haha!

  • Ha ha! This is new to me... =)

  • 1:40 must be his 'what a relife' sound:P This is probably the cutest video ive seen! way to go lil man!

  • We do this with Johnny :)

  • This is so awesome. I LOVE his smiles, he looks so proud of himself. Way to go, Carter!!!

  • Awwww, your kid is too cute! The only thing that worries me...he may be embarrassed when he's older because you posted his poop sessions for all of the internets to see.

  • @herpecin haha!

  • What a cute kid!

  • He makes pooping look cute! This is such an awesome idea! I'm 6 months pregnant with my first baby and I think I might try this with my son when he gets to be that age since I will be a stay at home mom too! It makes sense! If you can tell he is about to poop just hold him over the potty! Thanks for sharing!

  • Ha this is great! I've never heard of doing anything like this before. Seems to be working really well for yous. Keep up the good work :)

  • LOL!!! this is one of those videos you show to his date on homecoming night! what a great job!

  • @duckduckgander haha!

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! great job!

  • Lol, he's so cute. He actually looks proud of himself!

  • @becca122181 Yeah he does!

  • I have never heard of this!!!

  • Well I'm about to pop with my second baby to be able to hold my son over the toilet. I can't catch him going potty anymore. I used to be able to but now he just poops while playing. lol

  • @mrsadavidson lol

  • So funny! Your hubby saying "Carter thats a good one" to Carters big silly grin cause mama and daddy are grinning back. I think EC is great, but honestly never had the time or patience for it. I bet any amount of money it pays off in the long run for your guys and Carter! Good luck! :)

  • @anjomi1986 :)

  • @youngs091303 Yep!

  • I did that with my daughter at 7 months. It actually works

  • How many times a day do you take him to the potty and wait like that? Just wondering b/c I get that EC makes potty training easier in the long run, I just wonder at this point how it compares to changing diapers. :)

  • @katulka2 I only do it when I think he needs to go so we don't really have a set in stone amount of times. I'd say it can range from 2-4 times in the day. After he eats it usually gets things going and he will cue me right after so I just put him on the potty & he does his business. He poo's pretty much every time I put him on and at least pees although I'm not really trying for the pee. I just have to watch close or its easy to miss.

  • He's really adorable and I'm going to start doing this with my son! (even though he's 13 months old ) Thanks for sharing!

  • Awesome! What facial cues or sounds indicate that he has to go?

  • @zkt8ef He gets quiet, stares at something, and then might start to grunt or grimace. If his face gets red and he's really pushing / straining he is pooping already. lol

  • I love the ec method and hope my kids respond well to it. Less time in diapers and less mess is great for me! Lol

  • @CreatingFamilyCode A win - win!

  • This is how babies learn. They learn how to do everything by being exposed to it. I did sort of the same with my daughter, not that young, but pretty much as soon as she could walk, she had her own potty. When mommy went, she would sit on hers. It was not a big deal, just exposing her to it. I never really had to potty train her, she just went in the potty by "accident" one day, and that was that. She is 26 now.

  • This is amazing! I'm pregnant with my first and I'm thinking this is something worth trying.

  • This is some embarrasing footage for when Carter gets older. lol ; )

  • @jcronian9806 Totally!

  • I wouldn't have believe it if I hadn't seen it, I have a question do youuse the toilet all the time or do you have a potty?

  • @TheShelia6 We use the toilet if were downstairs and the potty is upstairs. :)

  • amazing! i've never heard of this?

I don't think this is for me but I definitely applaud u for having the patience to do this!

  • @rljjlove1 Thank you!

  • Ive always been intrigued by ec. Thanks for sharing.

  • @GonnaBAMom1Day Welcome!

  • I am having my bubs in July (winter here) and I cannot wait to do EC with them. I have researched it and know it is the way we us and we have cloth nappies as a back up :)

  • hehe he is so cute. Love the pooping noises! Great job!

  • @janaiandcolby haha!

  • wow....

  • I think this is great! It's definitely a lot of work, good for you guys for going for it. Even if he doesn't get fully potty trained that much earlier, I still think this is good for your relationship and improves communication between you guys and Carter.

  • Awesome.

  • I think potty training at 6 months is stupied!!

  • He's soo cute! He was so happy with himself when he was done, haha!

  • @sunnysmom31710 haha!

  • Wouldn't it be better to take off the whole pants (for comfort, position)? Outside from that awesome result ! lol

  • @BubblySoup We do normally take his pants off. We were actually just about to leave for the grocery store when I realized he probably needed to poop- he doesn't normally wear shoes either. :)

  • This is great! Good job mama and baby Carter! :)

  • @Noorah13 :)

  • That was so neat to see. I had never heard of elimination communication before. I would have to say that I was not expecting the end result to look like that. How did that much come from a little 5 month old! It made me chuckle.

  • @sbkrantz It was huge huh?!!

  • Great job !!! He is so cute :)

  • @redelozier :) Thank you!

  • he is absolutely adorable!!

  • @vloggingmama Thanks!

  • @vloggingmama Thank you!

  • omg hes so cute pooping on the potty and being so little haha

  • @imayummygirl haha

  • Wow that is amazing for a 5 month old!!!

  • @shasha1798 :)

  • thats great!

  • @mel11789 It's funny to watch but pretty cool that he is 5 months old and pooping on the potty. lol

  • Wow, this is so neat! I bet if you keep doing this he will just get used to it. Your a great mom that's really willing to work and teach the kids.

  • @shannorah Thank you!!

  • Wow your such a wonderful mother, you inspires be every vid, thanks

  • @ROXEDELUX Thank you!

  • How do you know when to set him on the toilet? This is so neat!

  • @BabyAnikaP His cues. Straining sounds or just knowing he hasn't pooed in a while. I especially watch him after he's just eaten or in the exersaucer.

  • wow, i should do that with kj. if u dnt say 'go poopoo' will he hold it in? i think kj potty trained himself bcuz when i let him lay around naked, he doesnt do anything until i put his diaper back on him. its not really potty training but its a start. how long did it take carter to associate what ur saying with what he's doing? what other things can i teach a 5month old?

  • @FAITHFUL2THEE I don't think he's at the point were he could hold it in. When he's older and has more control I am hoping he will make the connection though. I guess we'll see! As far as how long it took for him to get him to recognize the term I'd say about a week. I think the sitting on the potty does a good job of giving him the go ahead too.

  • ahh that's amazing! good job Carter!

  • @Gkaitie :)

  • So glad its working out for you ;) so cool!!!

  • what a great boy!

  • @misaki52008 :)

  • I love this. So neat how a baby's cues can tell all. Thanks for sharing!

  • @thinklove36 Thanks & your welcome!

  • This is awesome!! I am definitely going to do this when I have children....how did you know he had to poop though? Did you just plop him on the toilet and wait or you had a vague idea he needed to go? Does he go more than once a day? Thanks!

  • @hopefaithjoy13 I had the vague idea that he needed to go. We were about to go to the grocery store and I was thinking he was due. :) Then he made some cues and I plopped him on the potty and got my hubby to grab the camera. Some days he goes a few times a day, others just once. It depends on what he's eating I guess.

  • When do you decide to set him on the potty? (Right after he's eaten, etc?) This has always been interesting to me.. yet, I have never tried it.

  • @mrsashleyrenee Yes, right after he's eaten is usually when his cues are pretty strong. Other times are just based on him.

  • CRAZY!!!! "Good Boy" Carter lol :)

  • @Kaylea8694 :)

  • Like a pro!

  • @The911Medic :)

  • This is SO amazing! I am so going to try this when my little one is of age! :)

  • @AllThingsMothering It's totally worth a try :)

  • The little noise he makes when poopooing is so cute

  • @Meganshamblin haha!

  • He's such a cutie! :)
