The people that buy such a car with rear seats are not planning to drive their children around shopping, but it wont look nice if they just had that space behind the driver and passenger seat. Just saying!

@tashtan1 The seats in this x150 (second generation) Coupe are cavernous compared to the x100 (first generation) convertibles. In my preferred driving position in my 2000 XK8 convertible, the rear seat bottom touches the front seat and the top is less than 8 inches away from the top of the front seat.  That said, my packages never had it so comfortable or stylish ;)

Just went to check on my XKR, the grill behind the seats are vents for the seat cooling fans. you can actually feel the air blowing. They are definitely not speakers

The speakers in the back of the front seats you refer to are not speakers. They are intakes for the seat cooling (and maybe the heating). You can just hear the air being sucked into them.

Nice video, I have one of these and when the seat coolers are on the air flow is vented through grills in the back of the front seats, I don't think they're speakers..but then I can't get in the back to find out! There are alot of speakers with the Bowers and Wilkins hifi but I as far as I know none in the seats themselves.
