You asked great questions and his answers were right on - we are seeing a lot of companies wanting to align the behaviors of theirr leaders with their values and desired culture. I don't have to convince you that training in EI is how companies achieves that!
@billbenjamin6670 - thank you! It's sad and difficult to see such a big gap, in so many companies, between that they say they want... and what's reinforced (through modeling, recognition, reward, etc).
Perhaps that's one reason EQ is so valuable: It assists people to cut through that surface interaction to attend to what's truly important in the organization.
