@thepixieful The last sentence on Paragraph 16 sets the JW's up to follow without asking question... that's what was bothersome to me. The whole paragraph was set up with fear and threatening tone. From what can tell nearly all cults use this ploy to keep members on edge, unsure, and uncomfortable which is great when your hammering them with all sorts of commands and overwhelming information, keeps them confused. "Fleeing to the Mountains" depicts something very physical, also scary

I've been hearing rumors of more new light on the way which may shake things up again if true, but that will have to bee seen. I've noticed whenever these articles are read out, it sounds hypnotic. This is exactly how it is read out in KHs. I've also read small one-liners from old WT magazines in chronological order, it looks almost like Chinese proverbs. So hypnotic and messed up. This is blackmail in it's purest form.

The last paragraph in particular really demonstrates the disgusting fear-mongering so prevalent in that destructive cult. I feel so privileged in knowing that no other member of my family has ever gotten involved with these mind sucking life leeches. I do believe that as long as the ex-JW community keeps pressing forward and exposing the Watchtower with examples such as this one, perhaps one fine day "Watchtower" will be universally synonymous with "cult".
