This is making me think about how so many people glum over me because I'm pretty or so they say or because I'm such a great singer like they say...but its not me. Not because I was born this way. God blessed me with my talents in music, art, and working with horses. He's the one who made me "pretty". All the credit goes to Him.

i just have to say that Lacey is spot on... God is the one who gave her the talent she has and the credit needs to go to him... and because of Him giving Lacey her amazing gift i have been inspired to write my own story... at first i was giving the credit to Flyleaf because their songs triggered the story to take shape but now i think about it and God is the one to be thanked for He is the one that has given all of us our gifts... it is time for us all to start giving credit where credit is due.
Personally, I think it's about her songwriting/performing talents. She didn't write her songs, God did, she just wrote down what He told her... She didn't make herself talented, God did, and He's using her to spread His word. Then again, I may be wrong, but that's what I got out of it. :D

They don't want to like each other, and they think they don't deserve to like the person at all. They don't want to be with the person they want to be with other people but God is forcing them to be together and the boy and girl doesn't like that. does anyone has something better?!!!

You may have been told by Him to show us your beautiful messages in your songs, but you yourself deserve to have credit.. I have written a couple Christian songs and written love poems and her quote "and all the art that I supposedly create is simply a reflection of something He's already made." I have an EXTREME belief about "God" I do believe that there are things higher, greater, and by far stronger than us, but I also belive that we are in no way it's center of attention. We are jsut a few billion sould in a big rock in a small part of everything. Why would something with so much power care ONLY for us? Yes we matter to it or them or him or whatever, but so does everything else. On a moral level, we won't end the world by sinning, and we won't save it by being gratious.

You may have been told by Him to show us your beautiful messages in your songs, but you yourself deserve to have credit.. @fma3040 i really hate apple, none of flyleaf's old passerby stuff is on itunes, but something to look forward to is there new EP Remember to Live, which comes out on the seventh. On there official website they say that it will have some old tunes re-recorded that Paserby fans will recognize.

That is probably the most meaningful song that flyleaf has written... Music isn't only about how it sounds it is the message behind the lyrics. If you can honostly say you don't like this song because it is slow ( and you prefer thier faster songs)... and not even think about the meaning.... you have NO good taste in music!!!

music is all about the sound, that is why lady Gaga, justin beaver, hannah montana/miley cyrus and all those aother stupid bands (sorry if i sepped on anyones toes) are so popular, but this song is great in sound, and even more so in meaning.
I am with you, just pointing a few things out, hope i didint come off rude.
Flyleaf is awesome, same with demonhunter, falling up, brave saint saturn, breaking benjamin, rise against, first 4 cds of switchfoot, so on...

@PebblesMD19 Ignorant and shallow? I don't even understand the meaning of most songs, I like the beat/guitar solos/singers voices... Just because I don't understand what the hell is going on or even care to find out, doesn't give you the right to call people names. I like Flyleaf, even if I don't understand the song, she has a good voice. People sing songs all day long without knowing the meaning, no one cares to stop and ask... what did I just sing?

But to say you don't like or disagree with a song just based on the sound is kind of silly to me, too. people should stop and actually think about the meanings of songs, it can make you appreciate the song A LOT more if you do that. And yeah... calling that person ignorant and/or shallow cuz they only care about the meaning wasn't really called for.

You are fully @ liberty to mindlessly enjoy songs, with little/no regard for the meaning/message of the lyrics, like the majority of the masses do)! God & I love U regardless! :) But, you would benefit more from Flyleaf's songs if U did take the effort to think about the meaning of the lyrics. Just sayin. :)

I have written a couple Christian songs and written love poems and her quote "and all the art that I supposedly create is simply a reflection of something He's already made." I've realized that's so true since He spoke of those situations first and watched them happen first hand and made the nature and emotions I revealed in my poems. I LOVE YOU GOD!!!

I have an EXTREME belief about "God" I do believe that there are things higher, greater, and by far stronger than us, but I also belive that we are in no way it's center of attention. We are jsut a few billion sould in a big rock in a small part of everything. Why would something with so much power care ONLY for us? Yes we matter to it or them or him or whatever, but so does everything else. On a moral level, we won't end the world by sinning, and we won't save it by being gratious.

If anyone has heard of the Law of Atraction, otherwise known as "The Secrtet" then you probably know what i mean and where I am coming from. I don't mean to bash down anyone, or say they are lying. I also have a complicated beliefe that almsot everything we believe (within reason) is real. So keep still in your beliefs, and I will stay in mine. Again, I'm not saying anyone is wronge.

Okay I see that I have a lot of people flaming me. I have to say that I'm not an antheist, I am Lutherin Christian, but I also think about science. I never said I didn't believe in God, I just said that Lacey had these ideas all on her own.

@telephonepaparazzi - Lacey and Pat write most of them I think. Sameer also writes a few: I know Have We Lost? is definately his. Jared and James don't but I'm sure they have an input into the songs.

The sorce of life is the Sun, cells, the six kingdoms (Archaebacteria, Eubacteria, Protist, Fungi, Plants, and Animals) and because of millions of different atoms only. "i saw a bright light and then a gentle voice told me I would survive it was so soothing, incredible..." etc etc. and then all the priests bishops and cardinals would come and see him and praise him for his visions saying he is a stepping stone to god... thats what he is aiming for... fame
