  • Whats the difference between an enzyme and a hormone?

You cant hear an enzyme. Badaboom

  • cells don't just "open up" for hormones to get in, there's a whole process at the cell membrane that happens. And form the membrane to the nucleus. Look up hormone transcription or hormone receptor sites on the cell surface, if you are interested. If cells 'opened up" to hormones then a whole lot of other things would get in too, like bacteria, germs, diseases, etc. Thanks for the video. It was otherwise informative.

  • How do you make a hormone?

    Dont pay her

  • @MrLearntoread look up 'endocrine system'. It depends on which hormone you are talking about the body making. The body makes about 200 types.

  • I think, hormones decide about, our life, but when we start using some tablets , or some other stuff its will change a lot stuff in our brain.~~*.

  • lol peoples...

  • all these comments are silly- if you listen to what is being SAID and explained you will understand Why its important. All effects your hormones, insulin, adrinals, everything !!!! this is only part of the Big picture to lifes health .

  • Our Diet Manipulates

    "FAT BURNING HORMONES"

  • "chemicals in the insulin" ??? Rather odd way of putting it.

  • Seriously.. i'm still at school and i understood this shit? Why do people find this so confusing?

  • @RainxOnxMex because why is ti important?

  • wtf did i just watch!?!?

  • HUH!!?!

  • Would probably be a lot easier to digest if it wasn't all in FUCKING Greek!

  • @theonecom This isn't difficult to understand..

  • zzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZ

  • I read that dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenaline, serotonine and histamine can be neurotransmitters as well as hormones. What cause that difference?

  • @Hyronimus88

all of these are chemical messengers but what they are called depends on where they are secreted. The only difference in naming is based on where it is secreted. Hormones are secreted directly into the blood. Neurotransmitters are secreted into the synaptic cleft. Thus where each of these are secreted define if they are a neurotransmitter or hormone.

  • ah... oke. Thnx man!

But... maybe a stupid question. But the effect that they have is the same as a neurotransmitter as well as an hormone?

  • Im not sure on this but i believe the partial answer is the effect of neurotransmitters and hormones both can vary based on the target cell or effector they target (basically means it depends on what and where its working on).

  • @Hyronimus88

chemical signalling can occur in 3 different types...that can be through endocrine signalling which includes the 7 classic endocrine glands to which upon secretion the hormones goes to the circulation inorder to reach the target tissue. another one is the paracrine signalling which involves specialized tissuesthat are not part of the classic endocrine sx release factors in the ECF that can signal neighboring cell without passing through systemic circulation.

  • some1 plz help me does this have 2 do with cells i need 2 know for a teest plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • no.

  • this visualization is unique to show about the hormones

  • Thanks

  • The hormones are similar even in the reproductive system. The major difference is the function of the hormones. LH induces ovarian hormones in women and testosterone production in males. prolactin stimulates milk production in females not sure if it does anything in men. etc.

  • Thanks for the kind sharing

  • :o :o :o :o :o

  • oh its a male srry i mean is is male hormones diffrent than females

  • I am a male and yes most of the hormones in females and males are different but there are basic hormones in the body such as cellular respiration and other necessary body functions. The only real difference is the reproductive hormones.

  • Actually, even the reproductive hormones are very similar.. only with minor differences, though extremely important.

  • ooo awsome but thats female isnt it a bit diffrent then males

  • very informative
