Jennifer Espinoza Somebody to Love Audition

greattalent one caan tell she has been singing a very very long time, since a child I imagine. But like so very many singers her range is nothing near most of those who were "born' with the voice. One can tell, not that it's a bad thing, but she just doen't (yet anyway) have the "voice", one that effortlessly goes from 2-3-4 octave passes without the gulping and grasping for air, without strain.

Listen to and watch these perform, such as Kyle, Britany, Shakira, Rhianna, etc..great voices, hard working well managed and great performers, they each show what hard work, coaching and practice can do....but then.. Watch Martina McBride, Pat Benetar, Pink and Christina Aguilara, watch and lsten......the soaring vocal hits that come almost entirely effortlessly, swift and fluid changes from octave to octave with-out the huge gulps of air, body tensness, strain what-so-ever.

Of course there are many examples, and of course this young lady has the world before her and she qwill do great things with her music, but freddie ?.not even close,I am shocked there were not more efforts put forth that would have left her in the dust so to speak. I am not nor ever will be hating on this beauty, she is a gem and highly polished she may just take over the pop music world.

One cannot help it, create it, or practice enough to obtain it, when the "voice" is born it is kind of like fate endows a certain person with a gift, I venture to say 80% of those given such a gift ruin it and themselves, but when the magic happens, is tendered and cared for,,amazing things happen!

Reading all the comments, it seems as though people think that the band is a rejuvenated "Queen".......Where it is a "tribute band" going on tour with the original founder of "Queen" , Rodger Taylor. Jennifer Espinoza brings "professionlism" to this project. She has had her own Stage at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio for two years having performed over 700 shows in that time. She also has toured with Janis Joplin's band, Big Brother and the Holding Company.. Where can you find that much experience?

I have never heard of them,i wouldnt pay for a comedian band. they both look like their about uppers 30, while jen just 18. or maybe you just philipino,and you like them so much,i other the other hand,listen for talent,and freddie founder saw it.not only was jen was hand pick by janis joplin band mate to jam with them,they are two huge band,while those girls, both.jen would out duel them easy.they need singing lesson and you need a hearing aid.

Espinoza isn't perfect, but I think she is just as good as anyone else who auditioned, and since she was chosen, she has apparently earned the respect of Roger Taylor, which is good enough for me. There is no "best" singer out there; there is only personal opinion about what constitutes "best."

Tromattify: yes, I hear it. The sisters from the "Aegis Band" of the Philippines can easily outsing this girl (without trying). Gosh, I wish the Mercy or Juliet tried out on the part. Listen to the group "Aegis Band" with Mercy and Juliet.

@MsLinjohn you lady must be deaf,i went thru few of their videos,and i thought i was watching comedy central. they o.k, easily your must be out of your mind.jennifer espinoza is the real deal rock and roll queen,she sang live and didnt have all that technology behind her.like they did. jennifer is a gem.they dont make power singers like this any more. just girls that make their voices raspy.

Marc is so much better. She can sing but Freddie was a man and The vocals she puts out are obviously a womans voice. Not knocking her just think marc sounds so much like freddie. He does have a resemblence as well. I dont think they need her.I think imitating the bands original back up ocals is important as well. On one video Marc is awsome but the back up is not very good and overpowers his voice at times. He sounds great though. Close your eyes and hear a young Freddie.

Showing my age here, but there is a lot of Ronnie Spector in this girl's voice. Her tone is great. her pitch sometimes dips a bit when singing with full vibrato.....you could really hear it in the final audition vids with full band.She will be fine. Marc will do the lion's share of the vocals and Jennifer will fill in here and there, taking higher harmonies which will allow Martel's voice to remain relatively fresh during the grind of the tour.

Jennifer is on an extremely short list of singers on You Tube that I always look forward to watching. She has that that "plus alpha," as the Japanese say, and if I was still young enough to play in a band I would move heaven and earth to have her front it. However, while this version would be fine if she did it with her regular band, it doesn't really hang together here and sounds a bit forced. It's a contextual problem, not a talent one. Not all situations are right for all singers.

great voice and grindy sound too! A girl would be fine for this tour and should be included as it would give a good dynamic to the whole thing especially in spots where it all gets funny and stuff, lol. You have a good low end that would fit nicely with sum of these types of songs. good job!!

@puah101 I think Freddy would be the last person to discriminate against a woman singer. I love Marc Martel and I also love Jennifer. They are both great rock singers. I think Marc had better recording equipment but I know Jennifer can belt these tunes out just as hard as any guy. Its between Marc and Jennifer for me. I love Queen and I know Jennifer would do Freddy right. Look her up on her videos here.
