yeah, i respectfully disagree with you, "jude 1688". i have ridden them both, i race my CRF250R, and my buddy has a CRF250X. The suspension is totally different on them, as "bikerkid099" said, there is a big difference in the weight and throttle response. very noticable.

the 250x has bigger radiators and gas tank its alot heavier and doesn't have the quick response u would get from the race bike

lol no.. the only difference performance wise is the gearing, the x has a wider ranged gear ratio, as for engine, its the exact same on both
