@charliemac64 1) DRC is still a great player no matter where he is... 2) No, we don't know how this season is going to play out, but Jackson is a bit of a downgrade from hasselbeck wouldn't you agree?... 3) Something lacking in my life? No, just trying to point out a fact; don't take it personally.
2) I love Hasselbeck and hated to see him go, but it was time. Not thrilled with who we got, though. That's the way it goes.
3) I didn't take it personally...you posted it on my video, so I felt obliged to respond. Yeah, the Seahawks are gonna suck, but was I shoving shit down your throat last year when YOUR team sucked? No. Does it make you feel better or something to say something like that? Or do you just like playing "Captain Obvious?"
@charliemac64 1) It bores me also. 2) Yes that is the way it goes, I also learned that the hard way (Derek Anderson can suck one). 3) The latter, for reasons unknown to me.
my dad's reaction when he was 30 yards down the field: "Go, Go, Go....HOLD ON TO THE BALL YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!...HE'S GOING YEAH!!!!!!.........." I have the game recorded on my DVR and i watch that Lynch run everyday now, it never gets old lol.
Anyone who blames this run on "poor tackling" by the Saints is retarded. The run was all about effort by Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks. No other RB in the history of the NFL (except maybe Jim Brown) would have been capable of duplicating that effort in the same situation. Just bear that in mind.
@WesternPAdude I think he was more slamming the Saints than offering a slam of Lynch. Gotta admit...very poor tackling. But the effort to get through those tackles speaks volumes about who wanted what that day.
I wouldn't put Lynch in the same category as the backs (or other entities) he mentions. Not yet. But for one play, he certainly was the man! I hope that propels him to a new level of confidence. Plays like that can start things rolling ("The Catch" and Joe Montana, for example).
@charliemac64 That's what I mean though, I don't think it WAS poor tackling. They were all good tackles, but Lynch simply powered through/eluded them. THAT is what makes the run so great. To blame it on Saints poor tackling in an injustice to Lynch and the Seahawks, and demeans Lynch's effort. It's offensive.
The only tackle that was a poor tackle was Porter, but that's just because he came in high trying to strip the ball, he wasn't even trying to make a tackle. He was going for the strip.
@WesternPAdude And the stiff arm...whoa...but watch Lynch on the play, too...he goes sideways a good distance himself. Helluva collision that he managed to stay on his feet through.
@spadebammbamm Yeah, I would credit the run about 87% to Marshawn Lynch's power running & elusiveness, 12% to the Seattle Seahawks team effort & downfield blocking, etc., 1% to crowd noise crescendo & enthusiasm, and approximately 0% to "poor tackling" by the Saints. That is probably the most objective and accurate analysis you will find out there.
@WesternPAdude dude that was poor tackling, ur a fuckin idiot for thinking it wasnt...the tacklers slipped off his body, lynch did nothing to get them off, and when he stiff armed, all the saints were trying to do was strip the ball so thats why they didnt tackle him, because they werent trying to....ONE HUNDRED PERCENT POOR TACKLING, ANYONE WHO THINKS MARSHAWN LYNCH DID SOMETHING TO BREAK THOSE TACKLES IS AN IDIOT....tons of running backs could duplicate that
Generally, this was the most ABOMINABLE and absolutely PATHETIC demonstration of athletic effort ever, especially since this is a team defending it's title in a PLAYOFF game at the PROFESSIONAL level. Specifically, it's the WORST example of tackling at ANY level I've seen in the 42 years I've been watching football. 11 Betty White clones wearing uniforms turned Marshawn Lynch into a hybrid of Jim Brown, Bo Jackson, Earl Campbell, John Riggins, The Terminator, an Abrams tank and a Saturn V.
@butthand23 YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWN You had WHAT to do with it? Oh, that's right, NOTHING.
If you want to know what happened, what the game, moron. Our TE got a concussion on 2nd series...playbook cut in 1/2. 2nd TE got hurt and anything they had planned going to RB or TE was now out of the question. Take away 80% of your playbook and see how well you do.
Bears kicked our ass, but YOU had nothing to do with it, so again, YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN.
@charliemac64 they gave up 24 points in the 4th quarter regardless if the game was so decided in the 1st half. not worried here - I will pre gloat.....Packs will dominate. I dont care for the Packers, but the Pack is better than Seattle, and Chicago right now. If Rogers folds, I will be surprised. His footwork was incredible against Atlanta.
@Evilstewie831 I wouldn't say that. I would say, however, that the fact that there weren't other options available is a large part of why offensive coordinator was fired. Among other things, such as being a real asshole, apparently.
great job. so glad i found this video. i was there. live in connecticut but went to university in vancouver bc and was visiting some buddies and we decided to go spur of the moment - so glad i went, what a moment.

@godawgs06 And normally, I would have edited out all the camera shaking while switching from scoreboard to crowd etc., but this needed to be raw. It was just so intense. :)
Great video. I don't care about the Seahawks and I was off my coach cheering for him to finish that run. One of the best ever in the playoffs. Enjoy the hell out of it Seahawks fans.

Hey there, I am a Ram fan, anyway I want to see seahawks on Superbowl, I love underdogs. This is one of the best plays I ever watch. Go go go Seahawks, you can win this sunday.
Nice Vid! Actually a better angle than most the tv shots. I like at 0:13 when Hasselbeck comes sprinting out of nowhere. Shows that hes back in it to win it. All I can say is I hope the Packs beat the Dirty Birds to bring the Championship game to Seattle. And if the Seahawks play just as well or better than this at Chicago, the Bears are gonna get stuffed.
This is so awesome. Broadcast footage is great, but the raw energy and ambience in this home video makes you feel like you're there. Thanks for posting!
@ paydrolopez:Sorry, I'm afraid you'll just have to suffer until this Sunday. The only cure to your affliction – which is spreading rapidly throughout the Seattle area – is to watch us swarm the centerfield logo at Soldier Field after defeating the Bears.
Even then, you'll just have another addiction, curable only by another beastquake the following week when we host Green Bay in the NFC Championship.
For now, just enjoy the sight of Tracy Porter flying halfway home on that stiff-arm!
Come on Marshawn, break that tackle...awesome, first down...ok, he's down...now he's going down...what...WHAT...zlfkjalagkjbalibgslf dbLKJFGNSDLKFJHNBLKDSZJFNB WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOO
I'm so JEALOUS! I was down by the tunnel in 221 and was gettin some good videos of the game but didn't get this one! Damn it! Props man! Probably the only one on YouTube!
First of all this is America. Home of the free and the brave. Home of the Underdog! Let me say that again, Underdog. If the Seahawks can pull together at the end of a season and blast the other division champ out of their place then so be it. If they can come to the playoffs and play really 'good football' and destroy the defending Superbowl champs then once again, so be it. If you are going to make excuses about why they win then you are just as ignorant as the tyrants who aimed to destroy us.
@HeyZues09 Really? You're gonna preach to me? FUCK YOU!!!!!!
My cussing upsets you? DON'T WATCH MY VIDEOS...it's PRETTY SIMPLE.
You can either do it of your own accord -OR- I can block you. Your choice.
Don't like my videos? Don't watch 'em. Don't like the content? Don't comment. If something I do offends you, take stock of how it really affects your life, and determine whether it is worth it or not. Seriously, dude. Get a life, clue, whatever.
Keep it up! We love it! Let me drink it in! You morons are only adding fuel to the fire.
To all you cool Saints fans:
Good game and good luck next year. You guys live in one of the coolest cities in the country. I love it down there and everyone I've met from there is cool as hell.
no problem. im pulling for you guys in chicago. i would rather have lost to the super bowl contending seahawks then the 7-9 team that shouldnt have been there. lol
@millert1 I don't think the camera fully picked up the true volume of the crowd. I've been there when it was a boring non-important game and it was still the loudest stadium I've been to.
from a very disappointed saints fan, i would like to say good job seattle. you beat our ass. we played like shit and still almost won, but hey yall made plays when it counted. but, if we are healthy, i think this game might have ended differently. but good luck against chicago!
@89bteal I gotta hand it to you...you're definitely NOT a sore loser....thanx for the congrats! You guys have one helluva team and the legacy isn't done being written yet. Hopefully we get another miracle in Chi-town..
Excellent video. I love seeing vids like this which offer a perspective different from what we can see on TV. As a Colts fan I still love going back and finding crowd videos of Addai's TD run and Marlin Jackson's interception that sealed the '06 AFC Championship game, but none of those are nearly as clear as this one.
Regarding whether Seattle should be there... as much as it bothers me that a sub .500 team made the playoffs, division champions SHOULD be in... period. I do have a bit of a problem with them automatically having a home game though, as it made a clear difference in this case AND in the case of my Colts in 2007 when at 12-4 they had to travel to 8-8 San Diego. Such a mediocre season should not be rewarded with a home game.
In my opinion, I wouldn't mind seeing a '2 game difference' rule. That is, if a wild card team has an overall record at least 2 wins better than a division champion, the wild card team should be the home team. It might seem rather arbitrary, but doesn't 12-4 seem a lot better than 10-6? or 11-5/9-7? 10-6/8-8? I think it's a significant enough difference worthy of a higher standing and a home game.
@robc317 IMHO, you need to win your division to host a playoff game. Plain and simple.
The NFL had to see this coming when they went to 4 divisions per conference. It's an anomaly NOW, but give it 25-30-40 years, and you will see more losing teams make it. It's the nature of the beast when you let more teams in.
And I am NOT in favor of "two games better you host the playoff." Screw that! Win your division!
@charliemac64 Fair enough... it's just my opinion. The rules are what the are and Seattle took care of their business. BTW, I was at Lucas Oil Stadium waiting for the Colts/Jets game to start and they had this game on the big screens there. It certainly wasn't Quest Field, but the roar there was pretty impressive as well. I think the Colts fans enjoyed seeing the hero of last year's SB getting jacked up on that run, even if he is an Indiana grad.
@Retro80sDude After I got home that night, I had a *knock* "I coulda had a V-8!" moments. I should chimed in at some point along the way with Dave's patented 1995 call, "IT JUST CONTINUES!!!!"
wow you upload the only raw video of the greatest playof run in history.. this was amazing..... hellll your amazing. you made and witnessed history bro... go seahwaks.
I am a Bengals fan, been a season ticket holder the last three years....and when i was at work and saw this run i was fucking truly amazed... it was brilliant and awesome. and then to see this video tops it off. had to be a great moment to be in the stadium, it reminds me of the steelers bengals game in 2009 where we had a comeback victory with 14 seconds left, thats what memory it brought to me watching this video, hope you guys go all the way & beat the steelers or ravens in the big game
Flippin amazing!!! One of the greatest runs I have ever seen, this will define Marshawn Lynch's career. Great vid, it's great to see the fan reaction!
On TV it looked like Jim Brown. The run is nothing short of Super!! What is also truly amazing is how the cameraman held it together during that craziness!! Excellent camera work!!
If that were any other RB, it would end up being 3rd and 8.

For now, just enjoy the sight of Tracy Porter flying halfway home on that stiff-arm!

mastuve 1 year ago
First of all this is America. Home of the free and the brave. Home of the Underdog! Let me say that again, Underdog. If the Seahawks can pull together at the end of a season and blast the other division champ out of their place then so be it. If they can come to the playoffs and play really 'good football' and destroy the defending Superbowl champs then once again, so be it. If you are going to make excuses about why they win then you are just as ignorant as the tyrants who aimed to destroy us.

Shit I want to be in the middle of a football orgy like this sometime. This vid made my day. GO HAWKS.

I don't really care if a team with a losing record makes the playoffs. But, hate on me if you want, they shouldn't host a game.

To all you haters:
Keep it up! We love it! Let me drink it in! You morons are only adding fuel to the fire.
To all you cool Saints fans:
Good game and good luck next year. You guys live in one of the coolest cities in the country. I love it down there and everyone I've met from there is cool as hell.
TheMrtacoma 1 year ago
no problem. im pulling for you guys in chicago. i would rather have lost to the super bowl contending seahawks then the 7-9 team that shouldnt have been there. lol
89bteal 1 year ago
Seriously? That's the home of the 12th man? Weak crowd.
millert1 1 year ago
@millert1 I don't think the camera fully picked up the true volume of the crowd. I've been there when it was a boring non-important game and it was still the loudest stadium I've been to.
rayman811 1 year ago
from a very disappointed saints fan, i would like to say good job seattle. you beat our ass. we played like shit and still almost won, but hey yall made plays when it counted. but, if we are healthy, i think this game might have ended differently. but good luck against chicago!
89bteal 1 year ago
@89bteal I gotta hand it to you...you're definitely NOT a sore loser....thanx for the congrats! You guys have one helluva team and the legacy isn't done being written yet. Hopefully we get another miracle in Chi-town..
seriousfisherman3 1 year ago
@89bteal No question we benefitted from your safety and LB being out. Hasselbeck definitely exploited the perceived weakness.
I just can't believe the offense showed up the way it did. It has been MIA for a coupla months!!!

Excellent video. I love seeing vids like this which offer a perspective different from what we can see on TV. As a Colts fan I still love going back and finding crowd videos of Addai's TD run and Marlin Jackson's interception that sealed the '06 AFC Championship game, but none of those are nearly as clear as this one.
robc317 1 year ago
Regarding whether Seattle should be there... as much as it bothers me that a sub .500 team made the playoffs, division champions SHOULD be in... period. I do have a bit of a problem with them automatically having a home game though, as it made a clear difference in this case AND in the case of my Colts in 2007 when at 12-4 they had to travel to 8-8 San Diego. Such a mediocre season should not be rewarded with a home game.
robc317 1 year ago
In my opinion, I wouldn't mind seeing a '2 game difference' rule. That is, if a wild card team has an overall record at least 2 wins better than a division champion, the wild card team should be the home team. It might seem rather arbitrary, but doesn't 12-4 seem a lot better than 10-6? or 11-5/9-7? 10-6/8-8? I think it's a significant enough difference worthy of a higher standing and a home game.
robc317 1 year ago
@robc317 IMHO, you need to win your division to host a playoff game. Plain and simple.
The NFL had to see this coming when they went to 4 divisions per conference. It's an anomaly NOW, but give it 25-30-40 years, and you will see more losing teams make it. It's the nature of the beast when you let more teams in.
And I am NOT in favor of "two games better you host the playoff." Screw that! Win your division!
charliemac64 1 year ago
@charliemac64 Fair enough... it's just my opinion. The rules are what the are and Seattle took care of their business. BTW, I was at Lucas Oil Stadium waiting for the Colts/Jets game to start and they had this game on the big screens there. It certainly wasn't Quest Field, but the roar there was pretty impressive as well. I think the Colts fans enjoyed seeing the hero of last year's SB getting jacked up on that run, even if he is an Indiana grad.

@robc317 heh heh Raheem Brock said he felt good about takin' it to them for takin' his ring away from him last year.
