I already presumed it to be D. US Civil War. Im not sure, but I remember there was a female who dressed up as a male and got wounded at some point? Im not sure if it was her.
She knew the battle and the woman's name but not the War!!??
She is almost certainly a "quiz hobbyist".These kinds of people memorize thousands of random facts gleaned from quiz books but never develop the contextual framework into which those facts fit. It's a pointless exercise, done mostly for the sake of show boating.
How is she going to say "the battle of something run", I mean congrats to her for getting that much right because I couldn't have placed the name but Bull Run is something you hear a lot as a kid.
I just realized something. She's the only contestant in timed millionaire to technically see the question for all 15 levels. She didn't answer either the $500,000, or the Million, but she technically saw all 15, and that's a feat all in its own now-a-days. I know, i'm probably not the only one to realize this though.
@mecha03 Oh yeah, that's totally true. I meant the only female. But 2 contestants over the course of the 2-3 seasons they used this format for, it's still pretty amazing
@mecha03 another question for you. she's one of only 4 contestants to my knowledge(Brianne Sherman, Ken Basin, Roger Storm, and Herself), to see the $500,000 question in the timed format, correct? And by this I mean in regular gameplay, not in like family week or anything like that.
@mecha03 Her question in Tournament of Ten wasn't her original question was it? Being about the Blorenge Mountains, I doubt it would have been under the category "Obituaries"
@LtSeth242 Now I relize it, but this happened after Ken Basin lost $468,000 (I mean $475,000). What happened is she ran out of time on her $500,000 questions, and walked with $250,000. She then later returned in the Million Dollar Tourtament of 10.
I guesse right in my head without knowing anything about any american who had received the medal of honor, but I would probably not have answered right if I were on the show.
I saw a commercial today for a new Crayola toy that mixes different crayon colors. One kid mixed blue and orange together and called in "Blorenge." I wondered-does Jehan know about this? :)
You know, looking at this video, I wonder whether Millionaire told her not to answer. She knew too much about everything else. I think Millionaire didn't want another Millionaire.
OH. Do I wish she knew Bull Run as well as run. We could have seen a million dollar question. Also, clock was no help. I would like clocking a clock. LOL
Battle of something Run, well it's been fought on twice (First Battle of BULL Run, 2nd battle of Bull Run), but either way she is very smart for actually knowing who it was
she kept on saying the batle of....exactly thats what we call a civile war,she was so damn close, but still she was better not saying anything then having it wrong,im happy she won 250 000 anyway ;)
7 years we have been waiting for a millionaire. but we are are in a problem people get so close but dont win 1 million we will have to wait till another john carpenter shows up
The US drought of having no millionaires on the show lives on. The battle she was referring to was "The Battle of BULL Run", which I was immediately able to place as a notable fight in the Civil War.
The battle she was referring to was First Bull Run (or First Manassas for the Confederacy). Still, to get this far on an esoteric question is pretty impressive.
She's a very smart woman. Though she didn't win the million, she is still a champion.

Or do you just keep the money by letting the time run out?
TimpBizkit 10 months ago
@TimpBizkit It's the equivalent of walking away. Jehan did that on her $1 million question later.
sunnygrace57 10 months ago
Best to bash out a random answer at the end of the time limit.

Can you take the money in the US version or do you have to do that before the unknown question starts?

@LtSeth242 Ken Basin saw all 15 questions with this format and answered them as well, however missing his $1 Million question.

There weren't any women fighting in the war during World War I. Therefore, no woman was ever awarded a Medal of Honour at that time.

The battles that she was thinking were the 1st and 2nd battles of Bull Run. Those battles occurred during the U.S. Civil War.
