  • Rock & Roll's first great polished drummer. Dino was so exciting to watch! I tell these young drummers today that Dino in the Rascals hay day was more exciting to watch than Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, Mitch Mitchell and John Bonham. I know I was there. Thanks for posting.

  • I've commented on Dino before on other videos and I'll post it again... was watching Johnny Carson in the early 70's. His guest was Buddy Rich, and during the interview Johnny commented " although we all know you're the greatest drummer alive today, who do YOU consider a real talent out there BESIDES you?". Buddys answer was " I like that kid from the 60's group The Rascals, hes terrific " Enough said :-)

  • I' m really surprised that Dino didn't pursue a career as a studio/session drummer after The Rascals broke up. He had all the connections and lived in NYC so I'm not sure why that didn't happen. I could only imagine it was because he wasn't interested in pursuing it.

  • @chungiemunchin Good question! My Dad grew up one block from Dean, took lessons from him in the sixties etc. Dean really has two passions ~ drums (awesummist!!! and adorable :P) and his art ... painting and sculpture, which he devoted himself to after 20 years of drumming professionally.:)

  • Thanks so much for posting this.Dino is such an underrated drummer in rock and roll.I have this on vinyl and C.D.His art work is great too!

  • No one does it better than DINO,the greatest drummer of all time rock on DINO
