While Patty was the liveliest, most technical dancer of the three, LaVerne moved the most naturally. This 1941 number, along with "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" from their previous film with Bud & Lou the same year, is the best executed performance that the girls ever committed to film, & the costumes here really accentuated their great figures & pretty legs. They launched the vocal group into movement on screen & have influenced dozens of artists & groups over the past 60 years. They were great!
