  • Just epic!

  • @mohannad911 it's not scat. scat usually happens when a singer is improvising in a jazz type song (it does happen in other music too). They wrote the "words" just like they would if it was english, spanish, italian, french, etc. The only difference is that they don't mean anything so anyone around the world can use it... bringing us all together. :)

  • This Is So Good ;)

  • @teoden29 yes... yes they did. :)

  • @hokutonosward1 this isn't a language. the text was written phonetically with the words viewed as instrumental sound, the idea being to maximize the vocal phrase by removing the distraction of words. the sound is universal, as is the language of music. :)

I love this song so much. can't wait to perform it!!!! :D -3

  • @Sorali7 they just made up words..or whatever..? Ô.o

  • The words are completely made up, yes. The words are phonetic so we pay attention to them more instrumental rather than as a language :-)

but, the lyrics... does it mean anything in some language??

  • @T0stiboy I think they are words that Karl Jenkins completely made up, so no it's not a real language and so i don't think they have any real meaning :)

  • its like african

me and my school are singing it in 4 comps haha :L

    xx

  • Brilliant Welsh composer Karl Jenkins wrote Adiemus.

It is pure invention by him -the sounds are meant to represent the voice as an instrument. A brilliant concept by a musical genius.

Adiemus is from his Songs Of Sanctuary album.

  • there is no language like this. these are words and phrases that have been made by Karl Jenkins

  • @joshelias1 thank you i was curious

  • è un misto fra africano e latino, ce l'ha detto il prof....cmq è 1 bellissima canzone!!!

  • No! :D It's not german! Definitly not german! ^_^I'm german, too. So I know that..(:

  • Its just made up .. no seriously... looked it up....... asked people online, , , they say its just made up langue

  • i love it :) <3

  • yeah its totaly made up. its ment to sound almost like tribal music.:D

  • yeah, apparently it's just sounds he put together. no language.

  • Adiemus is latin for 'we will draw near' but the lyrics are words created by Jarl Jenkins, its comes from both gospel and african music.

  • It's not any language.

It's supposed to represent an african song, if I remember correctly, but the wrods are simply made up.

    Google it.

  • its latin, not German, I´m German, so i know :-P.

  • its such a beautiful song (L)

  • Tolzer is right it was created by karl Jenkins to use the voice as an intrument. he made up his own language creating words that enhance vocal capacity. AhsanAKA you should do your homework before you comment. Are you latin by the way, cause i'm sure your wondering why no one understands you!

  • its latin you stupids who think its not

  • i will be singing on sat 21st june in braintree

  • can somone tell me what language the words are? is it German?

  • not german. could be an aboriginese language

from the south asian island near indonesia

    sounds very similiar

  • not a language...it's merely using voice as instruments.

I listened to an interview on the radio many years ago, and that's what was said...

  • no its not german :D

i am german and this is defenitly not german

  • i did this song in my choir
