The point the Latino guy made did not make sense at all. Blizzard actually DOES owe us jack shit because they've been postponing this game for almost a damn decade. This is a damn democracy and if they don't follow what the people want, they will not get the support and money they need. Seriously, what is a game without its players? I see companies like Valve out there, really kicking ass and pricing their games at cheap with LAN. If a small company like Valve can be generous, why cant blizzard?
hm wat about people with NO Internet how will they play with their friends, children and how will the military enjoy games? Blizzard is just filled with greed and we are pissed off because Starcraft had this feature like a decade ago, it's an embarassment
We bought their games, we waited for their patches, we played on their servers, we gave them their jobs, their life; their company exists because of us.
They owe us nothing? Bullshit.
Most of all, we tolerate that World of Warcraft garbage, and the effect it has on their games, postponing SC2 and D3, splitting SC2 into 3 parts out of what I can only imagine as greed. I am pirating everything they are releasing after WoW.
@PhrozenFox lol phrozenfox I'm just fucking with you, but if you want a contribution, I'll give you a contribution. Lan can be added through the community like killamonkey is saying so try not to get to worked up over this.
The problem with anti-piracy protection is that it ONLY affects the people who LEGITIMATELY purchased the game. Pirates ALWAYS get a way to play the game via LAN or private servers. (Everyone else probably said this already)
Lol, all these people freaking out over Starcraft 2 not having Lan support when it could probably just easily be added in through the community after it comes out.
I love Blizz, no company that made Starcraft and Diablo 2 can do wrong in my eyes, but they were working for Davidson & Associates at the time. Ever since Vivendi got a hold of them it's been random item drops, nerfed early game dungeons, and overpowered greens. I'm convinced these decisions are coming as a result of pressure from Vivendi to get a few extra Porsches and pools full of money for their guys.
Last, when you're making a NEW property, sure, do whatever you want, but when you're making a SEQUEL, you have to take the feelings of the original's fans into consideration. If you're not willing to do that, then make a new IP. I've had more than I can take seeing beloved games warped into carbon copies of some other successful series because the devs thought it'd be the end of their world if they didn't hook those drooling masses who can't even decide which furnace to drop their money into.
It's not so much a "sense of entitlement" as STANDARDS. Without standards, we'd get crap games, and that's what these gamers with their "sense of entitlement" are fighting against. No LAN is a crappy decision, why should we just settle for it?
And they DON'T have a habit of screwing people over? Yeah, just ask all the raid guilds in WoW when Burning Crusade came out whether or not Blizzard screwed them over.

@Seshhi Then what's the point of not adding it to begin with, it's just a feeble attempt if you ask me.

Activision is controlling blizzard now we are screwed. After world of warcraft got nerfed there are no more new fun games.

I think they removed LAN because they'll probably charge us for playing on the new battlenet....so it's all about money as usual...=(
