1)who says you need to do a trick jump to get to the last 19 coins?just crouch,high-jump,spin,wall-jum­p,and spin again =) its a LOT easier AND you can be regular mario

2)OMG I DIED AFTER I GOT 100 COINS!!!SO F***ING SAD =( =( i missed a coin cuz i got carried away and went straight into the LAUNCH(not warp) star.then i came back,got the coin and accidentally launched then tried to get back a faster way but i slid down the side and got sucked into the BH.ON MY FIRST TRY =(=(

@xSims19Nautilux This is one of the easiest jumps to do, here's how:

First walk and make a jump, when you land, do another jump, Mario will make this different, and when you land again, give a 3rd jump and Mario will be literally throw to the up, getting to higher places.

Practic that jump on the "comet observatory" (you know, the main base), and you'll see that's extremely easy.

Gosh, this was a hard level. I got 99 coins and only had one bar of health left. All the coins were gone and I had to do that jump at 1.35 and then somehow , without the frozen Mario, swim over to the start to get the star. I would have died. So I had to die and start all over again - but it was much easier this time.

I can't say if you NEED to long jump for the last 2 coins, or not, but it's the recommended way. You do it by running, crouching, then jumping. You can adjust how far you go once you're in the air.

When I first reached this level, I didn't talk to the toad on the top of the mountain, so I spent like 2 hours looking for those last 2 coins. I got them when my cousin (player 2) zapped me right when I was at the summit, making me fall to the last 2 coins!!!

That must have been a real nuisance! The trick to lots of "Collect 'em all" games is to try to get as high as possible. They're bound to have hidden some things at the top!

How the hell did you do that last jump? I've been trying that for ages and always fall well short. I've tried the extra spin jump early and late and I still miss it by miles. By the looks of this video it doesn't even look like you did the spin jump. Could you tell me how to do it please.

If I recall correctly, you just make sure you long jump so your on a straight trajectory to the coin, then make adjustments in the air by holding back when necessary. It may be a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it.

Thank you! I played the first half of this game about a year ago and just started playing it again (of course in that time I'd totally forgotten about the 'long-jump'). It's like when I was playing Hitman: Blood Money and didn't realise you could put the sniper rifle back in it's case once it had been taken out (because you weren't able to do that in Contracts). I really should read the manuals more often. Thanks again.

Thanks for this video. I would have never guessed where those last two coins were! Around 6:00 in the video it is a lot easier to do a back flip (Z+A) and then spin onto the next ledge instead of doing a triple jump. But either way works.

You know you don't need to be Ice Mario to get to the sling star leading to the path up to the Summit? Just Triple Jump, Spin, Wall Kick, then spin to get up.

Just do what I did in the video! Makse sure that you spin-jump as NORMAL Mario. Ice Mario doesn't get much height added when he spins.

The graphics rock so hard. look at something really close, and you can't find a sigle rigid area. plus I love how the screen fizzes when you hit the cold water. you actually seem to feel the cold. Thanks WhiteKhakis, and thanks, Nintendo.

yeah, they always find ways to hide things invisbly. like in mario 64, the last red coin in Bowser in the sky. it's hidden right under the bridge. Well, atleast they give a challenge.
