no, its pretty easy..you just take the white powder out of a screecher firework like piccolo pete,hummer-oo ones like that and u put the powder in a plastic baggie and then u put it in the top of a plastic bottle and fold the rest of the baggie over the top and to light it u put a hole in the cap of the bottle,put the cap on and then stick the wick in it....i hope thats not too confusing
