I love both her, and Annette's, vocal styles. I saw NW in concert a couple years back, and Annette was incredible.

Contrary to what some people say, Tarja DID NOT make the band. NW did not "end" when she left. She was just part of their first chapter. And Annette does an incredible job herself.

Metal Evolution did indeed bring me here! As a devoted fan of all things NWOBHM, I have watched and listened as metal has been degraded to the guttural growls of Slipknot and the like. Bands putting out heavy songs without the songs. It's as if metal can't be metal if there is even a hint of melody. I say bullshit! Real metal pounds your skull but includes hooks and melodies that craft actual songs at the same time. Thank God bands like this keep the spirit of the Mighty Maiden alive & breathing

@mejw1 Truth be told, Lady Gaga has a tremendous underground appreciation in the metal community. You need only to listen to the non-radio music she has and you will hear a lot of metal influence in her music. It may not be blatant in your face but it is indeed there. There was an interview asking her what was in her iPod and she said first and foremost heavy metal. I know I might get some hate coming my way for saying this but it is true.

But musically she can't sing metal so she brings the attitude and some of the musicality to the pop world. I would actually classify her as dark pop. She did some "roadie" work for Iron Maiden at one of their shows just to get backstage to meet them. And this was after becoming an international superstar!

Love the music (powerful), vocals (sensitive and discriminating) and lyrics (captures the soul) but the video (though very creative) did not relate to the first three. The visual symbolism was not in tune with the musical vision. This band deserves a better presentation than what was given to them here.
