Wow---what was the moral of that story?---he didn't listen to anyone and ended up creating mass destruction...these older cartoons show much more deviance and low moral standings then the politically correct cartoons of today..
@SteveCarras Tex Avery's 1952 MGM cartoon, One Cab's Family, directly quotes this cartoon and is in effect a remake. But it has Avery's own stamp and we're lucky to have both. Avery seemed fascinated by the idea because he did it again in MGM's Little Johnny Jet in 1956. Nevertheless Streamlined Greta Green is a wonderful cartoon and that 30s look and feel, in color, is icing, lots of icing, on the cake. What this lacks, and Avery's has, is a kind of human touch, or intimacy, or believability..
Of course, otherwise Wil E. would've been dead by the end of his first cartoon. That's part of the reason why I've always wanted to be a toon. Other reasons: comedy is main form of entertainment, toons are able to alter their age so they can live forever, they can do anything they want like defying gravity, and schools are a lot more fun (at least ACME Looniversity is). And those are just a few of the reasons why I want to be a toon.
@MWolfL Only thing bad about it, is that you'd be restrained to the plot...or always be forced to lose, in the case of Wile E. and Sylvester...unless the world is like Roger Rabbit's. Then it be fine (aside from the DIP).
Well, not quite. The cartoons Wile E and Sylvester did were scripted, off-screen they have their own adventures and are even friends with Road and Tweety. Plus, they did do some different cartoons. Wile E. was paired with Bugs for a few cartoons and Sylvester had those cartoons with Porky.
Health . . . Oops - I mean Car Insurance is a nice thing to have.

@ashokrayvenn If there was one, it would be stop chasing after trains.

Funny. In "One Cab's Family" a taxi wants to be a racing car.

Almost an 8 minute cartoon.

This reminds me of MGM's "One Cab's Family" and of a hand drawn version of Pixar's "Cars".

@SteveCarras Well, it did precede all of them.

I think after Junior be'omes a taxi, he's gonna get married and, maybe, his son might be Benny The Cab.

I think I saw Lizzie from Cars.

Could this be like the inspiration for The Chevron Cars?

Let's pray that little car didn't kill anyone on board those trains!

Heh. Might have been a freight train.

@wileyk209zback
He didn't, it was all acting so there was no one on the train. The train might've even been remote controlled (toons can do anything).

@MWolfL And don't forget, toons are indestructible anyways.

@MWolfL True. I guess I'm just used to how toons at a specifc way.

@wileyk209zback There's nobody in the CARS, so why should there be anyone on the trains?

Well there is a cartoon that combines both. Check out Hot Rod Dogs and Cool Car Cats.
