Somebody like Tom Snyder just cannot come to terms with post-modern irony and humour. Not that I'm defending everything Stern does. As, of recent he has become trashy and just... Everything Tom is claiming he is.

But you know, I bet Snyder would even classify people like Gervais and Jimmy Carr as shock jocks. Or Eminem. You know, when in all reality, they handle it with so much irony and flair. And it's steeped in so much artistry, it's so unfair to dismiss it as that and such a shame.

I liked both Snyder and Stern for different reasons. I kind of feel like neither truly understood the other (misconceptions), but it doesn't matter. Snyder is long gone now. This is great tv though.

We need more guys like Tom Snyder here in this world now. Snyder wasn't a push over like a ton of the interviewers are today, and to see him and Stern clash on television is just awesome. I don't like Stern, but this is entertaining to watch.
